This has been our family cottage since 1989 and this year we expanded it from 800 square feet to 2000 and added an 800 square foot guest house and rustic cabin in the woods.
Morley Sniderman purchased this cottage in 1989
Log inside and out, antique hemlock floors, warm and inviting but the utmost in luxury. Pristine lake with amazing swimming and boating, and privacy galore. Doesn't get much better than this.
Our weekend at Log Retreat on Whitefish Lake was just amazing. Spectacular kitchen, views to die for and a log home that you never want to leave. We went for long walks in the woods and the property seems to go on and on. Campfires by the lake, gorgeous sand beach, the whole family loved it.
Our cottage is 20 minutes from parry sound which is a lively bustling town on the shores of georgian bay. Farmer's market and craft fair every tuesday at the docks, the island queen cruise of georgian bay, white squall kayaking adventures, shopping, restaurants, regional hospital, festival of the sound and art in the park.
We are also 20 minutes from the town of Rosseau which is full of antique stores and has the Rosseau arts and crafts fair every Friday in July and August at the town dock.
