Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 2007
We visited the sapphire lodge for our annual snowboarding trip. Upon arrival the property was more beautiful than expected. The rooms were very spacious and the accommodations were exceptional. There was a fully functional kitchen, a patio with a large hot tub, and the basketball court with a ping pong and foosball table was perfect to occupy the kids while the adults relaxed. The cleanliness of the property was immaculate in all aspects. The property is less than 10 mins. to the gondola to peak 8 or the lifts at peak 9.
We have visited Breckenridge many times and stayed a many different properties, but after staying at the sapphire lodge we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else again. It was perfect!
We all had a great time in such a beautiful and well maintained home and it was a 10 out of 10.
We had 6 children and 6 adults and had more than plenty of room and I would highly recommend this property. We stayed 4 nights and the hot tub was maintained/serviced in the middle of our stay so it shows how much these owners take care of their guests.
This a beautiful house just a few miles away from main st Breckenridge. It slept 14 fairly comfortably. It has 3 king beds and 2 bunk beds in 4 bedrooms. It also has a sleeping area in the bottom portion of the house with couches and a few rollaways. There is also a huge laundry room in the bottom portion of the house. The master bedroom has an incredible bathroom attached with a walkin shower and big tub.
The basketball court/gym was a nice amenity for the kids to burn off some of that energy. There are basketballs, paddles for table tennis and balls for the Foosball table. The hot tub is well maintained as someone comes by every other day to check on it. The deck in the back of the house is a great place to hang out anytime of the day and smoke a cigar or two. There is a grill attached to a gas line and a high top table with seating for 6-8 people. They have plenty of glasses, bowls, utensils and cookware. There is a coffee pot and coffee grinder.
There were only a few negatives. Since the house is being rented through a 3rd party the communication was lacking at times. Be aware that check in is rather late at 4pm and check out is early at 10am. I thought we had been granted a later check out but someone was there at 10:30 to scoot us on our way.
Other issues included a lack of paper towels/toilet paper/bath towels. We did laundry a few times and had to go shopping for our own detergent. The deck outside the master bedroom should have some seating provided. It also appears the house is capable of providing surround sound through the TV in the main room but we were never able to figure it out.
Overall, the house was great and we absolutely would do it again.
My family & I recently stayed at The Sapphire Lodge for a week. The Sapphire Lodge exceeded our expectations!
We very quickly realized as we drove up the very accommodating driveway with our three vehicles, that not only was the lodge extremely accessible to Breckenridge & all of its charm & fun...that this lodge had literally the "wow factor" as we gazed upon our vacation choice!
It was gorgeous from the outside - we couldn't wait to see the inside!
The Sapphire Lodge is remarkable with a gorgeous entry way & as you ascended the stairs you couldn't help but notice how clean it was as well as absolutely beautiful! The three bedrooms were not only spacious & very comfortable but also had bathrooms off of each which was nice for privacy. The bunk room was very big & comfortable for the kids, they loved it!
The kitchen was gorgeous as well as very functional for several people at once. And it was really organized with labeled spaces for what went where. A fully stocked pantry was a nice surpise & of course - labeled for good organization!
The movie room downstairs was more than spacious & the WII was a nice bonus for the kids!
I really liked the huge laundry room/area!
The back patio was nice to sit out on and visit while others enjoyed the hot tub. It was SO nice to come home after playing all day & relax in the hot tub!!!
We didn't want to leave! It was just so comfortable for everyone!
The basketball court, foosball table & ping pong table were a wonderful perk to this already great experience.
I would highly recommend The Sapphire Lodge to anyone looking for first class accommodations at a reasonable price!
We can't wait to come back - we won't stay anywhere else!!!
Thank you Sapphire Lodge!
When we found this vacation home & saw pictures we thought it looked too good to be true, but decided to give it a try. It.was.perfect! When pulling up to the drive, the first impression is breath-taking! The home is huge & beautiful & set perfectly among the trees. The location is also just minutes from town! When you walk in the front door, the smell of wood fills your senses. Exploring the home leads you to a gorgeous kitchen with all the essentials for yummy family meals, 4 bedrooms with enormous bathrooms (except the bunk room), the downstairs movie room with big, fluffy, comfy beanbags & a huge game room just off the garage with a half court basketball game, foosball & pingpong ball games right there. The large master bath also has a playpen, highchair & other baby goodies stored if necessary. The downstairs had a secret room under the stairs for our younger children to play in & with the hot tub, automatic fire places, endless board games & beauty all around you...there's something for everyone!! The city market/liquor in town has reasonable prices & Breck has great adventures all year round. So highly recommend, but you'll have to beat us to it! Hoping to be back soon! Thanks again!
We stayed at the Sapphire Lodge in mid-June 2016. Let's talk about the house and location first. The home is beautiful, very clean and at a great location. It is located in a subdivision about 10 minutes from downtown Breckenridge (depending on traffic) and right by Breckenridge Golf Course. We had two families (14 people) staying there. Plenty of beds, space, bathrooms and fun for everyone. The indoor basketball court and ping pong table were put to good use. Great air circulation with plenty of windows. Saw some wildlife in the area, including a fox who came up and said hello while we were using the hot tub in the back yard. As the pictures indicate, it is a very nice home.
We had read some comments about whether the kitchen was adequately stocked with plates, utensils and other items. It definitely was. Plenty of plates, utensils and cookware - all in great condition. I definitely recommend staying here and the house deserves the 5-star rating.
There are a couple of things that are worth mentioning. The grill in the back had not been cleaned. Also, make sure you read the fine print in the contract. Some items I thought were covered as part of the stay, were not covered. The rental company that manages the property (Evolve?) provides paper towels, trashbags, toilet paper, etc. to get you through the first day or two. When we arrived, we had no soap anywhere. This issue was quickly rectified and handled properly. However, when I called on the third day to get more toilet paper and trash bags, the person on the phone seemed agitated that I would even ask for these items. The response was somewhat short and rude... "read your contract."
