Beachcomber - "Toes in the Sand" on Carpinteria Beach
Newly remodeled with classic vintage charm, this beach front Cape Cod style masterpiece possesses everything that defines a perfect seaside vacation getaway.
Breezy and bright rooms feature traditional appointments such as soaring tongue and groove ceilings, bead board, wainscoting, wide molding, and distressed wood plank floors. Contemporary amenities and all new furnishings offer an effortlessly modern yet exceptionally comfortable experience.
Restful colors of sand and surf play against freshly painted white surfaces in nearly every space. Throughout the home are collections of vintage signs, found treasures from local antique stores, and photographs of the home itself, reminding guests just how special this retreat really is. Crisp and clean, the ambiance in every room captures the true Cape Cod feel.
From the ground level, walk up the stairs to the side entry door. A wonderful oceanfront Family Room opens to the deck. Adjacent is a porch swing, table and Adirondack chairs for lazy afternoons. A massive window seat is large enough for sleepy kids to nod off into dreamland and wake up to morning sunshine through large windows. A removable hammock suspended in the window seat is just one more fun addition to this family friendly home.
Step down into the "Bunk room" with a wayfaring theme. The feel here is much like a cabin on a ship, but large in size and a great spot for the teens to have their own space. A Loft with full size bed is tucked neatly away high above the room. A full Bathroom makes this a perfect self contained private space.
A comfortable Bedroom with queen-size bed and a "Jack and Jill" Bathroom complete the accommodations on this middle level.
Upstairs is the main Salon. A fireplace with seashell studded hearth fills the entire room with a warm glow. The Kitchen, with smooth marble counters, is fresh and new and outfitted fully with more quaint seashell themes displayed in dishes and serving pieces. A pine dining table is tucked into the large curved bay window area that is a unique feature of this delightful home.
Through a French door, the upper Deck is perched above the beach, offering a great 'birds eye' view to enjoy all the activity going on below. Enjoy sweeping coastal views from sunrise to sunset. Convince the grill master in the group to cook up something special on the barbecue, and dine al fresco for every meal.
The city of Carpinteria is a quaint, small beach town. It offers everything one would expect of a city built for beach lovers, surfers and anyone seeking a slower pace of life. Small antique stores, surf shops and restaurants dot the main street of Linden Avenue. It's not all casual, as fine diners can enjoy an upscale night at Sly's with fine wine to accompany a world class gourmet hamburger or healthy "catch of the day". Carpinteria Beach is known as "The World's Safest Beach", offering long, wide stretches of pristine white sandy beach and varying surf for all levels of ocean enthusiasts.
There is no more perfect place to enjoy the lazy days of summer, but no matter what season one chooses, Beachcomber is a coastal dream filled with possibility that begins with your toes in the sand! Perfect!

We had a wonderful week at the Beachcomber in December 2015. A great property at an unbelievable location. Loved the quiet location in Carpinteria within 15 minutes of all the options in Santa Barbara. Will find a way to stay here again!
We had a wonderful week at the Beachcomber. Great location in quiet beach town but 15 minutes form all the options in Santa Barbara. The house is perfect with miles of beach and great restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely come back to this house!
We had three couples in this wonderful house in Carpinteria. The location on the beach was ideal. We could walk to downtown in five minutes. Also walking out the backdoor to the beach was the best feature. We saw seals, dolphins and birds from the patios. The large bedrooms and attention to detail throughout the house was great. When we arrived a member of the mgt team was there to show us around. That was a nice touch. We look forward to using them again!
Great on-the-beach location. 2 decks. Cute house. So cute inside, you want to enjoy the interior, but the beach is calling you outside. Close to everything.
What a great location and a wonderful home. This is great for a big family or a few couples to stay. Loved being able to walk to restaurants and drinks. We really enjoyed our stay. Look forward to doing it again.
It is our second stay at the Beachcomer. It is time with our family to relax and swim and there are restaurants close by. I absolutely love the easy beach front access and cute beach house. Well decorated.
Our family enjoyed our stay at the Beachcomber. The hammock was a big hit with the kids! It was a beautiful home and loved the furnishings. Meals on the deck were wonderful with the views and the great ocean breezes. The kids enjoyed seeing the dolphins and seals from the deck. We were so glad you supplied binoculars, since we left ours at home. This home was in a great location and we could walk to everything we needed.
Walk a one block to Linden Avenue to explore the quaint ocean-side town of Carpinteria. Linden Avenue is lined with fantastic boutiques and restaurants. At the end of the road is Carpinteria Beach, known for its pristine white sand and safe surf. This charming town is full of fun things to do, and the friendly locals can help you find even more hidden treasures!
