Ross Munro or Nancy Munro purchased this chateau / country house in 2001
We chose to make the Comox Valley our home after we decided to sell our Blueberry farm in Mission BC. Nancy had travelled all of British Columbia with her Company and the Comox Valley was her choice of a place to live. We were fortunate to find this beautiful nature property that we named Royston House because of its rural hamlet location next to the Oceanside.
There are so many things to do and see year round in the Valley that you never run out of exciting opportunities. In fact most of our Guests are disappointed when they realize they have not booked enough time here.
Only a couple of minutes from your accommodations to access the new Royston Seaside Trail and Park immediately in front of Royston House with it's great views where Nature abounds.
Royston House was custom built by Ross in 2003/2004 with the Carriage House opened as a Vacation Rental in 2008 when our daughter moved to this area.
The property has been retained mostly as originally found except for adding our home to an open space. Majesty Douglas Fir are located on the east and west sides. A giant Gary Oak greets visitors entering the property. Native plants grow in abundance and provide an ideal wildlife habitat for deer and birds. As we are on the fly pass from and to Alaska, Birds enjoy the natural food and fauna in the Comox Valley and at Royston House.
With year round accommodating weather we operate Royston House 12 months of the year

Nancy and Ross are wonderful hosts, anticipating our every need! Accommodations were clean, well-maintained, comfortable and very pleasant. We enjoyed the ocean breeze, the woods and gardens, the sauna, and the delicious breakfast. Nancy makes great coffee, and breakfast included fresh berries from the garden! The peach baked French Toast was unforgettable! Royston is a great base from which to go to Courtenay and Comox, and we would recommend this B&B to everyone. We'd recommend the Blackfin Restaurant in Comox for good food and great ocean views in a nice atmosphere and deck. Old part of Courtenay and downtown Comox are charming areas for walking to galleries, cafes. Also enjoyed the air museum at Comox base.
Thank you Ross and Nancy for your hospitality! We loved the unit. It was very clean and comfortable and in a fabulous location on the water. Next time we will plan for a longer stay in the Courteney area as there are many things to explore. Thank you again!

From the fresh homemade jam to the wealth of interesting information provided, Nancy and Ross made us feel so welcome in their lovely coach house. It was peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the extensive gardens and Royston seaside. The location is excellent for visiting the Comox Valley, Mt.Washington, etc.. The home is beautifully decorated (love the whimsical wooden artwork!) and has everything needed for a worry-free stay. The beautiful 4 person infrared sauna was a fantastic bonus, especially for our son who was having intensive medical treatments in Courtenay during our stay (which were really enhanced by sauna sessions). We definitely hope to return to this special place. Thanks so much for your hospitality, Nancy & Ross!
We had a very enjoyable stay at Royston House. Ross and Nancy were wonderful hosts. The house is very close to Courtenay and Comox, and right on the estuary and a walking path. Beautiful yard to explore in. We had two kids with us who loved the place. House was clean and very eco-friendly!
We all enjoyed this tranquil spot. We were busy skiing each day so we really appreciated the comfy beds
The carriage house was beautiful for our family's get together. There was 4 adults and two children and there was lots of room. The property is beautiful and within walking distance of lovely pathways. Nancy's raspberry jam was delicious!
