About Kendra Pollack

Happy family of four. We love Mill Valley for all the wonderful things it offers.

Kendra Pollack purchased this studio in 2011

Why Kendra Pollack chose The Bay Area

We love our part of town. You are surrounded by redwoods, water and the creek.

We have a stand alone apartment. The property is private, clean and everything is new. If you love to cook, it is a large, fully loaded and functional kitchen. Location provides the serenity of the redwoods but is a short walk to our fabulous town.

What makes this studio unique

If you enjoy hiking, we have amazing trails to Muir Woods and Stinson beach. You can always take the Stage Coach back if needed.

You could hop on a bus to Sausalito from the bottom of Dipsea steps, about 10 minute walk from the house.

Uber service is a quick and easy way to get around the area as well. They'll come get you at the end of your hike!

Mill Valley Depot is just a short walk -- (less than 10minutes). Catch commuter buses to San Francisco or head into picturesque Sausalito. While there, adventure over to Alcatraz or Angel Islands via ferry.

It's an approximate 40-50 minute trip by car to San Francisco International Airport. The Oakland International Airport can be reached in approximately 45-50 minutes.

Muir Woods; 20 min by car to entrance ; 90 minutes to walk

Mt. Tam: 2 min by car to entrance off Panoramic Highway

I love the hiking and biking trails. We bike to Sausalito, take the ferry to San Francisco for the best meals in California. The wine country is an hour away, Stinson beach, we hike to Muir beach. Tuesday night you don't want to miss Mark Pitta at the Throckmorton Theater for a great night of comedy.

Hidden Gem!

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for two. Natural light, updated/top of the line features. Luxurious as described. Close to downtown Mill Valley, with shops, restaurants and bars close by. Muir Woods/Mt. Tam are a quick 10-15min drive. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Kendra was available to answer any questions!

Cozy, beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our 20th anniversary weekend get-away at this cottage, and it was perfect! The studio was very clean and nicely furnished. We loved the location! My husband loves trail running and has been to many running events in the area. He showed me the Dipsea steps and we hiked several beautiful trails in the area. We also enjoyed visiting Muir Woods, and enjoyed the restaurants and cafes in Mill Valley. Wish we had more time! Hope to visit again!

Beautiful, private cottage near hiking trails

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Cascade Cottage for 4 nights and had an overall wonderful experience. The property was peaceful, beautiful, very clean, and we appreciated the little extras that you don't always get at a VRBO- hair dryer, access to the washer and dryer, and little things left out for us like shampoo/conditioner, reusable shopping bags, etc. The community the property is located in is beautiful and quiet as well. We had total privacy as this was a stand alone unit- met Kendra once while doing laundry but otherwise we did not run into the family at all. Although we had privacy Kendra was very responsive to questions I sent her before the trip and had the cottage ready early for us the day we checked in. We loved having the full kitchen for cooking. Other reviewers mentioned this- we were able to hear the garage open and shut (as the cottage is above it), but this was never at any time of day that disturbed us. The bathroom was beautiful but the water pressure in the shower was a little low- not sure if this is typical to the area, though. We had no trouble accessing the wifi and appreciated this convenience as well, as there was no cell service for us when we were in the cottage (we have AT&T, this was typical for us anywhere we were among the redwoods). We struggled a little bit with figuring out the easiest way to get in and out of the neighborhood, as the roads were very windy and it was a little bit off the beaten path. We needed GPS to navigate this for our first several days. We did walk into downtown one evening and found this an easy 10-15 minute walk. We rented a car and while it would probably be possible to stay at this rental and use public transit, it was definitely easier with a car, especially as we drove into several trail heads in Mount Tam State park. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area!

The best VRBO around!

  • 5 of 5

This by far, has been our best VRBO experience. Location is beautiful (and that is an understatement)! Communication with the owner was A+. Rental was stocked with everything we would need! When I thought, "Oh we might need that", it was already there! Super clean too. Downtown is very nice and within walking distance. I read a review that said downtown was too far.... not sure who that was but I guess .5 miles is too far... (It is not b the way and so many ways to get there too!). Lots of hiking trails. Near Dipsea and Cascade falls. These are must does. Owner recommended, El Paseo and this was awesome. They have a can't miss happy hour! Loved Equator coffee shop. We will definitely be back!! Thanks!!!!!!!

Owner's Response: Sean, Thank you so much for the fabulous review! I take pride with my place and I appreciate that you noticed it all. Also, the mention of the walk to town, it is a ten minute stroll along the creek side. Thank you again for your kind words. Kendra

Five star love nest

  • 5 of 5

The amenities, decor and view were beyond our wildest expectations. Our hosts made sure we had coffee and a choice of coffee maker or expresso machine. We felt so welcomed.

We will definitely stay there again.

Car: not necessary

Nestled in the redwoods at the base of Mt. Tamalpais on a winding street with neighbors close by, it is a one-half mile easy walk to the center of town. Our shaded street is quiet, although active with bikers, hikers, and people walking their dogs or pushing strollers, since it is a natural destination for enjoying the beauty of Cascade Canyon. Hiking paths are close by, as is a stream that runs to a nearby wooded park set with benches and picnic tables.

Due to the fact we are surrounded by Redwoods, you could have difficulty with cell coverage. Verizon has the best coverage here.
