This amazing home was completely restored to 1937 authenticity. Originally built as a duplex for two sisters who wanted to have close proximity but desired their own private living situation. The sister's together hired an architect that designed this stunning and classic Spanish style hacienda. Each "wing" of the compound off the common entry, offers a living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and interior fireplace as well as an outdoor fireplace for a total of four fireplaces! Furnished with antique furniture and vintage decor, you would think you were transported back to 1937. Plentiful off street parking, two roof top cocktail decks and a separate casita with flat screen, create a working or relaxing area separate from the main house. The casita also has a full bath and queen size sleeper sofa...this is Casa Redonda's 5th bedroom. The amazing resort-style pool area is divine and offers stunning unobstructed Mt. San Jacinto views with no telephone poles or electrical wires. Fortunately Old Las Palmas is one of the only neighborhoods that has the funds to bury these unsightly view destroying necessities. Walk or bicycle to nearby shops and eateries, both casual and upscale. Drive to the high desert or visit near by Joshua Tree national park. It is a two hour drive to Los Angeles and a short hop (ten minutes) to the Palm Springs International Airport..
Keywords: Sophisticated and upscale. 1937 fully renovated Spanish style hacienda in the sought after Old Las Palmas location awaits you!

About Ruby Montana
Ruby Montana migrated to Palm Springs, Ca. in 2000 after purchasing a small boutique hotel called Ruby Montana's Coral Sands Inn. Prior to living in Palm Springs, Ruby was a resident of the wonderful Seattle, Washington, and had a store there for some twenty years. Ruby Montana's Pinto Pony in Pioneer Square was a kitsch Emporium that held everything from a Corbusier sofa to an invisible dog leash. Whacky and wonderful. Ruby sponsored the National Spam Contest in Seattle for 10 years and was featured in People Magazine and on Jay Leno with regard to it...interviewed every February by 100s of radio stations internationally about the whacky contest. Ruby went to The University of Michigan and received a degree in Music. She majored in the French Horn and it managed to pay her way through college. Ruby was born in El Reno, Oklahoma, and is a pie baker. Ruby has a deep regard for animals and a passion for rescuing small dogs. In April 2013 Ruby formed a 501(c)3 called Ruby Montana's Pie in the Sky Animal Rescue. She saves 100s of dogs a year from certain death by fostering them and then placing them in homes. Ruby began baking pies for Trio Restaurant in order to meet the costs of rescuing a dog from a shelter. Each dog costs in the neighborhood of $200 to rescue. Her pies were always in such demand at Trio that she started Ruby Montana's Pie in the Sky Pie of the Month Club. Ruby had 50 members at last count. Her Let the Sunshine Lemon Meringue Pie is so popular at Trio Restaurant that it is generally sold out before 7 p.m. Ruby Montana's Coral Sands Inn sits contiguous to Casa Redonda and they work beautifully for hosting larger groups of people...reunions, weddings, retreats, golf getaways...you name it. Ruby loves the Old Las Palmas neighborhood that both the Casa Redonda and The Coral Sands are located in. They are situated just around the corner from Liberace's first home where one can still find the original grand piano mail box. Incredible.

Fabulous stay at Casa Redonda!!! Thank you Ruby!
We stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderful family get-a-way! House is very unique, and had something to offer everyone, even our Newfoundland! Located in a great, very quiet neighborhood, was perfect for morning walks and bike rides, everyone loved the two rooftop decks for their morning coffee and evening cocktails. House has been beautifully restored to it's original 1937 charm, so much thought has gone into this house, makes for a great vacation! Home was also immaculate, both inside and out. I highly recommend this house and plan on staying here again. Thanks Ruby!
Perfect weekend getaway (for babies too!)
We stayed for a long weekend (Thursday - Sunday) for some November poolside fun with friends. In total, there were 9 adults, 3 babies (all under 1 year), and 2 chihuahuas. The house was very comfortable and had a very unique floor plan with lovely decor and felt very spacious for all of us. The babies loved the heated pool. The chihuahuas loved the palm springs heat. The adults enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop patios, margaritas in hand, watching the sunsets/sunrises. Landscaping was gorgeous. Ruby was very accommodating, letting us check-in early and check-out late, even making sure that there weren't any holes/gaps for our chihuahuas to escape through. We would definitely stay here again!! Highly recommended!
Lovely, relaxing, unique get-away
This unique property is a perfect family get-away because it is two identical homes joined by a central entry. The two kitchens make it easy for families to function. The home offers quiet areas, as well as large family gathering places around the pool or on the elevated patios. The casita is perfect for teens or the sports-minded who can gather there without bothering anyone. Owner Ruby met us promptly for an early check-in which gave us a complete afternoon of fun around the lovely and secluded pool. There is plenty of seating and three umbrellas for sun protection. In the evening, the outdoor gas fireplaces lent an ambiance of total relaxation. Wi-Fi, icemakers, coffee pots, a/c, comfy beds, nearby restaurants and the lovely town make this an easy place to go for a very long weekend. We are already planning a return trip with several friends.
Couldn't Stay Away!
I rented Casa Redonda for the second time, and I must say it was just fabulous yet again. I celebrated my 25th birthday at Casa Redonda last August, and I decided to return with my family to celebrate Labor Day. I brought my boyfriend and our dog nixon, my mom and dad, grandma and a small group of friends. We had the most relaxing and fun Labor Day weekend! Ruby is an extremely welcoming host, and is available 24/7 if you need anything. She is a gem! The grounds are very well kept (awesome fire pit and BBQ), and the pool is AMAZING! I will 100% be returning to Casa Redonda and highly recommend staying here!
Family Dream House
What an incredible place to stay for a family weekend!! We brought our entire family: four adult "kids" with spouses/boyfriends, three grandchildren and a great-grandmother. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the home, grounds, neighborhood and Palm Springs in general. The house is as beautiful as the photos depict and the pool, plants and private grounds perfectly complete the package.
The grandkids were in the pool early morning till dinner time and we had a lovely story reading time on one of the rooftop patios. One evening we ate al fresco in the patio area under the trellis; cooking on the barbecue and then eating outside was heavenly.
An extra bonus, not mentioned in the property description, are the two private patios outside two of the bedrooms. These were greatly appreciated by the kids with the new baby. They could walk him outside in the patio when he was fussy and not disturb anyone else.
The kitchens are classically tiled with bright colors and the cupboards stock lovely Fiesta ware dishes. While the cookware is not the fanciest around, we found everything we needed and we actually preferred eating in our "compound" vs eating out.
Ruby is gracious, informative and, above all, available. Although there was nothing that we found lacking nor were there any issues with the home or pool.
I can't recommend this VRBO highly enough for privacy, relaxation and a wonderful weekend getaway.
PS Birthday Stay
We had an amazing time here. The house and grounds are beautifully maintained. I felt like we were back in the heyday of Hollywood glamour days. The owner, Ruby, was warm and accommodating to everything we needed. There is plenty of space for a large group. The Sunset view from the roof decks are gorgeous. I wouldn't bother staying anywhere else in Palm Springs. This is the place!
