Bouldin Creek Treehouse is an entirely furnished apartment located in Austin’s famous South Congress District (SoCo), available for short-term rental.
The Treehouse sits atop a brand new architecturally contemporary home that was designed with the idea of breaking down the barriers between indoor and outdoor spaces. This design element is evident throughout the house and the apartment.
The apartment, located on the second floor, has a private entrance, 9’ ceilings and two large 8’x8’ windows opening up the apartment to direct sunlight and a view of two 300-year-old live oak trees and Bouldin Creek.
The apartment comfortably sleeps four in its living area, with a queen-size bed and sleeper sofa, a full bathroom and furnished kitchen.
South Austin, and the South Congress district in particular is the foundation of what makes Austin the cultural hub it has become in recent years. The Bouldin Creek Treehouse is just blocks away from downtown and in walking distance from the shops and restaurants on South Congress and South First streets. Additionally, the Treehouse is less than a mile from a grocery store, dry cleaner, gas station and has direct access to multiple freeways (I-35, HWY 71, HWY 290).
Scott Creamer is a native Texan and owns Screamer Co., an Austin-based branding and advertising agency. He and his spouse, Tim Lee, have been together for 20 years. They both love art, design, and architecture. They have a dog named Shiner and a cat named Poquito.
Scott Creamer purchased this apartment in 2013
This property is for fans of contemporary architecture. You'll be hard pressed to find a better example of architecture integrated into an natural landscape. Scott and Tim designed and built the house and apartment in 2013 with the goal of breaking down traditional boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. From the overall design to the finishes, every decision was driven by the idea of bringing the outdoors in.
This property has a large yard, creek view, huge windows, is private and secluded yet in the middle of everything.
The heritage Oak trees surrounding the property are incredible specimens. Our accommodations exceeded expectations. Comfortable bed, comfortable pillows. Overall decor tastefully done. Plus our host, Scott, was very accommodating. Couldn't ask for more. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back soon!
Peaceful although located in the middle of everywhere. We love it here. Time after time.
Very clean rental with great location near SoCo.
We really enjoyed our stay here! It was very clean and had everything we needed. This was our first time in Austin and the location was better than we could have hoped for! There was so much within walking distance. The property was gorgeous too! I highly recommend Scott's place!
We loved the contrast of being in an ultra-modern house but looking out into the canopy of very old live oak and pecan trees. The location is great - quiet neighborhood, off-street parking, and easy walking to restaurants and shops on SoCo and 1st St. The apartment is very clean, quiet, and peaceful. The only things I'd change about the place would be to put a full-length mirror in the bathroom and add a cozy comforter to the bed (which was very firm) instead of having thin quilts/coverlets.
The Treehouse was beautiful and just the right size for two. After being out and about in Austin it was great to come home and have a quiet street and serene surroundings.
South Austin, and South Congress Street in particular, is the creative backbone of Austin. Music, food, shopping; SoCo is everything that is great about Austin all right next to each other. Whether it's heart-stopping Texas BBQ at La Barbecue or authentic New York Pizza at Home Slice, there is something for everyone just minutes from the Treehouse.
