Bouldin Creek Treehouse is an entirely furnished apartment located in Austin’s famous South Congress District (SoCo), available for short-term rental.
The Treehouse sits atop a brand new architecturally contemporary home that was designed with the idea of breaking down the barriers between indoor and outdoor spaces. This design element is evident throughout the house and the apartment.
The apartment, located on the second floor, has a private entrance, 9’ ceilings and two large 8’x8’ windows opening up the apartment to direct sunlight and a view of two 300-year-old live oak trees and Bouldin Creek.
The apartment comfortably sleeps four in its living area, with a queen-size bed and sleeper sofa, a full bathroom and furnished kitchen.
South Austin, and the South Congress district in particular is the foundation of what makes Austin the cultural hub it has become in recent years. The Bouldin Creek Treehouse is just blocks away from downtown and in walking distance from the shops and restaurants on South Congress and South First streets. Additionally, the Treehouse is less than a mile from a grocery store, dry cleaner, gas station and has direct access to multiple freeways (I-35, HWY 71, HWY 290).

This property is for fans of contemporary architecture. You'll be hard pressed to find a better example of architecture integrated into an natural landscape. Scott and Tim designed and built the house and apartment in 2013 with the goal of breaking down traditional boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. From the overall design to the finishes, every decision was driven by the idea of bringing the outdoors in.
This property has a large yard, creek view, huge windows, is private and secluded yet in the middle of everything.
The property was beautiful, with lots of open space, and shade trees, but also still felt very private. The apartment was great! A perfect example of really good design. Though a small space, everything was chosen with purpose so it felt very open too. We had enough space for two of us and our luggage. The bathroom shower area was open and inviting, enough counter space, though I could have used 1-2 more hooks for our towels. Comfortable bed and sheets, air conditioning, wonderful view of nature.
The location could not be better! A very short walk to several coffee shops, restaurants, taco stands, shops. With how close we were to all of this, the property itself still felt very peaceful and away from it all. Seriously - perfection - a perfect mix! Also the owners were super nice and accommodating. I can't speak highly enough of this property.
Studio Apartment is just perfect...location and decor suberb. Nicely appointed whether eating in or out (which we did for every meal) because there are endless options for great eats. We'll stay here again.
What a wonderful place to stay on our extended visit to Austin! The apartment is a modern jewel set in the treetops. It is very quiet and you can even hear the stream in the side yard at night. In addition to being light filled, it is super clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is large and the towels are fluffy. It is also a short walk to great restaurants on South First and Congress. Scott and Tim couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here and definitely will be returning.
What a wonderful place! The owners thought of everything and added their own style to the treehouse. Both 1st Street and South Congress are in walking distance and hubs of food and culture. Highly recommend!
The heritage Oak trees surrounding the property are incredible specimens. Our accommodations exceeded expectations. Comfortable bed, comfortable pillows. Overall decor tastefully done. Plus our host, Scott, was very accommodating. Couldn't ask for more. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back soon!
South Austin, and South Congress Street in particular, is the creative backbone of Austin. Music, food, shopping; SoCo is everything that is great about Austin all right next to each other. Whether it's heart-stopping Texas BBQ at La Barbecue or authentic New York Pizza at Home Slice, there is something for everyone just minutes from the Treehouse.
