Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

This creek is ALWAYS full!

A complete remodel of the kitchen and dining room made this 1930's bungalow a real treat for vacationers! Granite counter tops and stainless appliances attest to the quality of the home, while the fantastic old double hung windows and cedar plank walls of the living room and bedrooms retain the original woodsy craftsman feel.

Numerous windows and the Deck look out on the spectacular spring creek tumbling at the base of a 2 Giant Sequoias, Huge Cedars and Massive Pines. Flowering Dogwood trees, Trilliums, and wild blackberry and raspberry and wild flowers grace the creeks edge. It's a very clean spring creek that bubbles out of the ground a few miles upstream that never varies its flow much, winter or summer.

Relaxing in this home may turn out to be your favorite part of the vacation!

Clean, comfortable storybook setting!

  • 5 of 5

The house is comfortable and so cute! Enjoying coffee on the rear deck, listening to the rambling creek below, was just the respite I needed. Our kids loved the Creek and the yard left just enough space for tag and hide and seek! We enjoyed our stay so much and only wish it would have been longer.

Tranquil spot under the trees by a babbling creek

  • 5 of 5

Great, very comfortable, rustic cabin under the trees by the north entrance to Lassen Park

Local grocery store adequate for most supplies but not organic

Michael perfect host for information of the area

No air conditioning but plenty of fans

Wonderful cabin to relax and unwind after long day exploring.

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Lassen Creekside is a great property and Michael is a wonderful host. The wilderness of Lassen is just minutes away and quiet Shingletown offers just enough service (gas & groceries). We will surely return.

Peaceful home

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay, even though it was too short! The house was so comfortable and we tucked 6 people into the bedrooms easily. Only drawback was the access to the common bathroom (master has an en suite) is through a bedroom. Our 4 kids adjusted by all sleeping upstairs which they found totally comfy. Thank you Michael for your friendly greetIng and farewell. Sorry we rushed off for our long drive home. Advice to new renters, stay a few days and enjoy that peaceful creek, the fire pit, the hiking and beauty that Lassen has to offer.

Well maintained home in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved staying at this house. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and BBQ. The deck overlooking the creek was really great, and the sound of the creek was wonderful and restful, especially for people like us who live in a large city. It is a short drive to Lassen Park and about an hour from Burney Falls.

The owner, Michael, was extremely nice and attentive and clearly interested in making sure our stay was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed.

Rustic but Comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four adults enjoyed our stay. Michael was there when we arrived. He gave us a tour and started a fire in the wood stove. The highlight of our stay was Mill Seat Creek flowing behind the house. It was gorgeous to hear and see. The property is close to Lakes Grace and Nora and Lassen National Park. A general store was very close also.
