About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Why Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp chose New Mexico

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

A lot of house to enjoy.

  • 4 of 5

This house has a lot of living space for a two bedroom house. It is listed as a three bedroom but it is really a two bedroom with a pull out trundle bed in a study. The study is on the first floor across from the kitchen and the other bedrooms and bathrooms are on the bottom floor. It worked fine for our short stay but this should not be listed and priced as a three bedroom. It has a wonderful large porch to enjoy the santa fe mountains but it is a steep uphill walk from Canyon Road. The house is beautifully decorated with a great kitchen.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to submit a review! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the porch at Hummingbird as well as the decor and kitchen. We also greatly appreciate your feedback regarding the listing, but would like more information as Hummingbird is listed on Homeaway, VRBO, and twocasitas.com as a 2 bedroom house. Two Casitas strives to provided the most accurate descriptions/photos available and are happy to correct any discrepancies. We also make ourselves readily available during the reservation process to address any questions prior to booking/arrival. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for staying with Two Casitas

Santa Fe Charm

  • 4 of 5

This house is beautiful and has all the accommodations you will need to make your stay delightful. It is close to the Canyon Street Art District which I find much nicer than downtown Santa Fe as it is more charming and less touristy. The deck and views are fantastic from here, and you feel very secluded although you are right next door to other people. Great location and casita!

Beautiful views! Wonderful patio!

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay at Hummingbird. We chose it for the patio and views, and we were not disappointed. We loved the glider chair on the patio, and the awning overhead to keep out the sun was a big help. We spent as much time on the patio as possible. We were able to walk to Canyon Road and to downtown Santa Fe, which was perfect. The walk back home, with lots of uphill at the end, was a bit tiring, but good for the legs! There were LOTS of good books to read, and the kitchen was well supplied with dishes. The A/C was easy to use, and the windows were easy to open and close as needed.

The screen door to the patio needs to be replaced. It was partly broken and off its track. Everything else worked great.

Santa Fe in Jan

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at the Hummingbird. Both have been excellent experiences. The house is in a great location and is well maintained. This time we brought our dogs, who thoroughly enjoyed the Santa Fe weather. I would recommend this house to any of my friends and family.

very nice place / great location

  • 4 of 5

we were very happy with the quality of the home and its furnishings, and the managment co we dealt with. a softer bed and a TV in the guest room, and better hot water supply in guest bathroom would help make it a 5 star place...but these were minor issues and we enjoyed our stay
