Tucked away on a historic street, Casa de la Boda (the Wedding House) offers the perfect east-side location for your Santa Fe adventure. Located just two blocks from Canyon Road and short stroll to the Santa Fe Plaza this lovingly remodeled two-bedroom adobe home blends the charm of it’s historic roots with the modern conveniences of a comfortable lifestyle. (If you need a 3 Bedroom check out our sister property #4570429)
A rambling flagstone patio with kiva fireplace and hot tub greet you as you enter the property. Inside, each bedroom offers an en-suite bath and private fireplace and W Hotel-brand pillow top mattresses (1 King, 1 Queen) ensure a good night’s sleep. French doors from both the living and dining areas open to the patio to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The home is bathed in light from skylights and the bedrooms and living areas are kept comfortable by a central evaporative cooling unit. Radiant heated floors greet bare feet each morning in the winter. Just outside it’s courtyard walls are two, private parking spaces.
Named for the generations of the Garcia family (Garcia Street) that built a home on this lane each time a family member married, Casa de la Boda continues a rich tradition of life and love for everything Santa Fe has to offer. Permit No. 16-00135481

About Rick Tackett
As former residents of Denver we loved coming to Santa Fe on a regular basis. Now that we're locals we wanted to create a place that's perfect for a small family or two couples to come and soak up the local arts and culture. Now, when the property isn't being enjoyed by guests, we'll spend a couple days there and walk to all the things that attracted us to Santa Fe in the first place.
Why Rick Tackett chose Historic Eastside
We purchased the property before it even went on the market. It just took one look at the courtyard area and the quallity of the home (remodeled by a Denver architect about 10 years ago) to see the potential as the perfect getaway.

Great location and comfortable house
This is our favorite place to stay in Santa Fe. The owners are very helpful and the house is lovely. We cook a lot and the kitchen is well supplied with equipment and basic pantry items. Another couple stayed with us this time, and the house and courtyard worked very well for the four of us. Plenty of room. The location in town is perfect - historic area within walking distance of the plaza.
Beautiful Casita Near The Plaza
This was the perfect place for our first visit to New Mexico. A quintessential New Mexican casita with plenty of space for our daughter and her husband to join us. The kitchen was well stocked and updated. The family room was the perfect gathering spot and had a wonderful kiva fireplace. Both bedrooms also had kiva fireplaces and the master had a great laundry area in the back closet area. The casita had skylights throughout that kept the rooms bright and cheerful. Every room was tastefully decorated in keeping with its lovely southwest location. The outdoor patio space was fantastic and large. There was a large outdoor kiva that we enjoyed using since it was very cool at night as well as a patio table, two lounge chairs and a hot tub that was ready for us to use when we arrived. We so enjoyed it here that I don’t have any cons regarding this property only a couple of realities. The second bedroom’s bath has a beautiful pedestal sink so no counter space. The owner has informed guests that parking two cars in the drive is difficult and this is very true. We both had small cars and were able to although we always had someone outside the vehicle watching those adobe walls. Lastly the first few blocks of the walk to the plaza have no sidewalks but is still very doable. After that there are sidewalks the entire way. We can’t wait to come back to Santa Fe and stay here again!
It's a lovely place, right by Canyon Road
Couldn't have asked for a more comfortable place to stay. It's well kept-up and convenient to coffee and newspapers at Downtown Subscription. Would visit again.
Perfect Santa Fe Getaway
The property was wonderful! Great location. Very quiet neighborhood. Cute, comfy and filled with everything you needed. We loved our adobe casa and of course, Santa Fe!
Great location and a magical feel!
The Casa is in a great location! Perfect for 4 with a great outdoor space and amenities!
A perfect home in a great location. The owner responded promptly when I had a few questions. The courtyard was perfect for our pups.
From Casa de la Boda you are close enough to the plaza to hear the church bells of St. Francis Cathedral, walk to town or make the two block stroll to Canyon Road's 100+ galleries, shops and dining. And, just a block away, is Santa Fe's infamous Downtown Subscription coffee shop and the best Cafe Mocha and magazine selection in town.
Major festivals and activities include: Santa Fe Opera season, Santa Fe Folk Art Market and the world famous Santa Fe Indian Market.
