Holmes Beach House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 7-9)

This property 213 75th street and it's sister property at 215 75th street are truly unique in that they are all ground floor (NO STAIRS!!) and NEW. This property has been our private unit and only used on a part time basis because it is our second home. We are now in the final stages of moving and making our residence available for rent starting April 1st 2011. It has all new stainless steel appliances, marble counter tops, all new furniture and HD TV in 2 rooms. The private, heated pool is really delightful with in water seating under shade. Bedroom 1 has a King bed, bedroom 2 has a queen, bedroom 3 has bunk beds with an additional twin bed. On Beds the unit sleeps 7 and with the pull out couch can sleep up to 9. The unit is only 11 houses to the public white sand beach access without any major roads to cross. It is less than 5 minute walk! Across the street is a trolly stop that provides free transportation to anywhere on the island.

The private pool makes the hot summer days enjoyable, and the white sandy beaches are only a few steps away. There is bountiful dining establishments that are on the island and a Publix grocery that allows for you need to leave the island minimal.

This was the first time we have been to AMI & it was way better than we even expected!!! The house was PERFECT especially with our small children. The private pool was a huge plus and made the week even better! My kids loved it! The house was beautiful, better than we had expected and had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation! The bunk room has plenty room for kids and also has no windows which we LOVED for our children! The master shower is beyond amazing!!! We will definitely be coming back and plan to book this same property. The beach was a short walk away and the free trolley was a plus as well! This was one of our best vacations to date! Absolute no complaints from us! Thanks Karen for all your help, being easy to work with and for being very prompt with any questions we had!

Has the potential to be a stellar rental for two couples

Although this is listed as a three bedroom duplex, the third bedroom has no windows so I would think only good for children. The two lesser bedrooms (one with a Q bed and the one with no windows) have a "jack and jill" bathroom which is accessible from either bedroom. Because the doors are sliders with gaps underneath, again, I suggest this set up would work best for a couple in one room and their children in the connecting room.

The MBR has a K bed which is quite comfortable. The bathroom is large with a huge shower room with multiple shower heads but only one shower head works. The water pressure in the showers is sad. I think the shower heads have serious flow restrictors. It was hard to rinse my hair without bumping my head into the soap rack hanging from the shower head.

The linens for the K bed are decent. The linens for the Q bed are old, tired and incomplete sets. There are less than two sets of sheets for that bed. I did advise the property manager and perhaps she will resolve this.

Most of the unit has tile floors but the Q and twin bedrooms have carpet that is oh so old and stained. When walking barefoot on the carpet I kept feeling sharp things sticking in my foot. I couldn't find anything on the floor so I think the backing on the carpet is disintegrating and pieces stick up through the carpet.

The kitchen is adequately equipped for a rental except no dish towels and insufficient dinner forks and there are no cleaning supplies, not even a broom and dust pan. I don't know what we would have done if we broke a dish on the tile floor. There is a glass dining table but no glass cleaner.

Patio furniture is old and legs are rusty and disentegrating. Plastic chairs and table have been painted???

So, overall assessment is if you don't mind the above issues, for two couples sharing the rental, this is a great set up. Each couple, essentially has their own master suite. The pool is right outside the back door and is a lovely configuration. We really like this place and have rented it repeatedly but do wish the owner would upgrade the carpet, patio furniture, linens. And please just supply a broom and dustpan.

The Property Manager, Karen Willette, is most helpful and immediately responsive when issues arise.

Island Yoga Space is within a 20 minute walk. All equipment is supplied and they have some great instructors.

A conveniently located duplex. Nice well-maintained pool. House and yard furniture needs upgrading.

Anna Maria Island can't be topped for a fall vacation and this unit is conveniently located for enjoyment of the Island's attractions. It was nicely remodeled in 2010, but now needs upgrades to mattresses and other furniture including sofa and wicker chair. Outdoor grill was not inviting (a mess). Although manager was very responsive when maintenance issues were communicated, a proactive approach would help.

The house was very clean and a great location to everything. We did a girls trip over Labor Day Weekend and it was awesome! We walked to the beach everyday, rented beach bikes and rode around the island and hung out at the house pool. We bought groceries and ate most of our meals at the house. It was great idea and cost effective. There is lots of cabinet space and plenty of room in the refrigerator. I would suggest more plates and toilet paper if coming with a big group. Will definitely rent here again! Karen was awesome and very quick to respond to emails and any concerns we had. Thank you!

Fantastic Relaxing Vacation

This home exceeded my expectation, the photos do not honor the house.

It is close distance from a very nice white sand beach, the pool is great (we loved the table in the pool), the AC was great, nice kitchen, easy access, and the master bedroom shower is fenomenal.

My family is ready to book the next vacations.

I hope they keep on top of the maintenance of the outdoor furniture so the house stays as nice as when I visited it.

Relaxing summer vacation

This home was the perfect space for us to get away and relax! Short walk to the beach or drive and park. The private pool was a great spot for the kids to play all day. Beds were comfortable and kids loved the bunk beds. The master bathroom is AMAZING, HUGE shower! The kitchen was spacious and great for preparing meals for the family.
