As a child, it was always good for the soul to visit my grandparent's home. I still feel blessed to have their home to share. Our family began their farm in the early 1900's. This rural area is still surrounded with cattle grazing in pastures, fields of corn and soybeans, woods and yes, even a little tobacco. In the past years, several vineyards have been established and offer a wonderful varity of wines. Along with the wine tours, you can bring your bicycle and a route can be provided for all level of riders. Stone Mountain State Park and Pilot Mountain State Park, both offer hikes and are less than an hour away. Our place is nothing fancy, but has a surprising, comfortable atmosphere for even the most stressed to come and chill. We are located in Yadkin County, just 2 hours from Raleigh/Durham, 1 hour from Charlotte, and 2 hours from Asheville. Please contact us if you would like to visit. We can help you plan a custom getaway of your own.

We love living between our home in Asheville NC and Yadkin County. This is a beautiful area of the foothills of NC.
Located within 10 miles of 5 Vineyards and Tasting Rooms.
We had 6 adults and a newborn staying in the home and felt like there was plenty of room. It is a very cozy home that was clean when we arrived and within walking distance to the laurel grey winery and only a few minute drive to the other four wineries. Highly recommended.
This was our second visit. Yadkin Getaway was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. It was within a few miles of all of the wineries that we enjoy visiting. Laurel Gray, Raffaldini... Shiloh General Store was a nice treat as well. Their homemade breads are delicious.
Suzy was great to work with. She was able to answer any questions that we had without delay.
We spent many hours in the mornings on the screened porch with a cup of coffee and the afternoons on the back patio to wind down.
It was so relaxing and quiet but yet everything was close by.
This wonderful home gave me the opportunity to experience the serenity of country living. From the afternoon I arrived, to the morning I departed a week later, I enjoyed elements I normally don't get to experience at home in California. Having visited North Carolina many times, this was the first time I'd stayed in a vacation home there. Suzy was very cooperative and easy to communicate with. Her home is equally as accommodating in its warmth and amenities. Loved the kitchen as I prepared most of my own meals each morning and evening, my days filled with winery hopping, house hunting and sight seeing. I love the rural roads for their simplicity and beauty. The cows grazing in the pastures surrounding the home were always present, sometimes we would get in a staring match and they made me giggle when they trotted away when I moved too close. It snowed one night and I awoke to an amazing white landscape where I was able to shoot some good photographs of the rustic barns and bare trees. Other pluses....The vineyards have matured since my last visit 5 years ago and are producing some very nice wines now, Kitchen Roselli in East Bend is a very good Italian restaurant and.........I always feel welcome by the nice people I meet in North Carolina.
I recommend this property highly.
