Warm, relaxing, quiet, romantic and serene are some of the descriptions used by couples who've made our hillside Garden Cottage their Cambria destination. You can enjoy an idyllic Cambria experience in this tranquil location surrounded by Monterey Pines and terraced gardens.

An all-wood interior with streaming light from two large window seats combine with a pyramid roof and skylights, enhance the simple yet elegant interior. A cozy gas fireplace, carpeting in the main room, with a firm and comfortable double bed makes this a perfect Cambria getaway. You'll find the convenient tile-floor kitchen and wood/tile bathroom with standard-size shower (29' wide X 26' deep) quite pleasant. Premium linens and bathrobes provided. An extended window seat in the main room overlooks the forested canyon. A second window seat offers tranquil views. WiFi ready, and no TV. Use the large garden deck to enjoy the private peaceful canyon, wildlife, and distant ocean. The deck is the perfect place for morning yoga, an afternoon glass of wine, and an evening canyon sunset.

Restful, peaceful, and beautiful surroundings inside and out!

  • 5 of 5

This little hideaway was perfect for a quiet and restful weekend. It was very private and the gardens were absolutely amazing. This is for sure a, " must stay", and I highly recommend.

Another Amazing stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third or fourth and it keeps getting better. We have stayed in a number of VRBO properties in the area and this is our #1 choice when it`s just my wife and I.

Already saving for the next visit.

Adorable, rustic, and romantic

  • 5 of 5

I'd recommend the garden cottage and would definitely stay again. It's not fancy but perfectly cute and comfortable making for a relaxing stay. Although rustic it is clean and romantic (a few little bugs near the windows though). The cottage made us feel like we were secluded in woods. The grounds are gorgeous and it's just a quick walk to downtown Cambria.

FANTASTIC RETREAT!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at many VRBO homes and I must say the Garden Cottage was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays I have had.

The cottage is cozy but feels large and spacious if you enjoy the company you keep. My friend and I LOVED all the special touches- from the bottle of wine left for us upon our arrival to the homemade soaps and body wash left for us to enjoy in the bathroom and kitchen areas. The cottage comes equipped with fancy bath robes, coloring and meditation books, a very well equipped kitchen (every cooking tool you need, filtered water, coffee, tea, herbs, spices, beautiful kitchenware), a very comfortable bed and a stellar remote controlled fireplace.

The cottage is beautiful inside and out, feels simultaneously charming and luxurious and, most importantly, doesn't feel cluttered. You have everything you need to relax, unwind and re-connect with yourself and your loved one.

My friend and I particularly enjoyed the two window sitting areas where we spent many hours reading, writing and napping. One of use would be inside the cottage and the other out in the rocking chair on the porch or down below on the deck watching nature at work in the canyon. You will see sooo many birds and animals in the canyon and enjoy the garden in all it's color and glory. The garden is well tended and cared for and, like the cottage, makes a visitor feel very much at home and at peace.

Thank you Lissa and John for sharing such a special place with us. I will let all my couple friends know where to find you.

Tranquil little cottage with all the "touches" in a gorgeous setting. 10 minute walk to Cambria shops, near Moonstone Beach, and Paso wine tasting. Great hosts. Wonderful place to be.
