Spend some time at Seascape, a cozy island cottage located on a tropical hillside overlooking the Caribbean. Relax on the spacious deck and watch the cruise ships sail to port in Charlotte Amalie. Or stroll down to Lime Tree Beach, where the sun, sand and sea are perfect for relaxing the body and replenishing the soul.
Seascape is located on a quiet street in Frenchman's Bay -just above the secluded Bluebeard's Beach Club, where you can enjoy the amenities - such as the great poolside bar - then return to the privacy and comfort of Seascape. Furnished in island decor, there are tile floors throughout the large living room, kitchen and roomy bedrooms. Each bedroom has a private entrance to the deck and spectacular views of the Caribbean and surrounding hillside. With high-speed, wireless Internet service, flat screen TV, DVD player, and radio you can stay connected, if you must. But Seascape is 15 minutes from virtually any of the island's world-class beaches or must-see attractions
See the Island: An easy drive west of Seascape takes you to Charlotte Amalie, where you can take in the rich history of this former Dutch colony and pirate haven. For the refined tastes in shopping, there are the luxury retailers of Yacht Haven Grande and high-end jewelers along the narrow streets of downtown. Everywhere in between, there are colorful, local artisans and markets t hatcreate the truly Caribbean experience.
From Seascape, head east for 15 minutes to Red Hook and its famed nightlife and restaurants. At the Red Hook ferry terminal, hop a car or passenger ferry over to St. John, another laid back bit of Caribbean paradise. Two-thirds of St. John is a National Park - unspoiled stretches of tranquil beaches and sleepy lagoons, underwater coral gardens, walking trails and fascinating plantation ruins.

My best friend and rented this house for our one big vacation we take a year. Our first trip to St. Thomas/USVI!!! We had a wonderful time and the Seascape cottage played a huge role in that. Owner and property manager were both reasonably responsive to any questions or issues we had. The only major complaint we had was that the cable and internet didn't work during our stay which was more of a problem with the service provider, than the house itself. But other than that it had everything we needed. The location is perfect. We rented a car (corolla, no we didn't need 4x4 for this house, but some houses had literally vertical driveways). Its about 10 minutes from Charlotte Amalie and 10 minutes from Red Hook. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe where the house is. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for any cooking you might want to do. My best advice is to go to KMart for your food and supplies. I wish we had done that first. The beach that is within walking distance of the house (Lime Tree at Bluebeard's Resort) is great although we didn't spend much time there as we had a goal of seeing 10 beaches in 10 days. Bluebeard's had little activities like Bingo and Movie night each night so we would go down there for that at the end of the day. Drinks are cheap, food is expensive literally everywhere. Bring the beach chairs from the house because every beach you'll go to almost will charge you $5-$10 per chair to rent them. The view from the deck on the house is the perfect spot to have your coffee in the morning and start your day right and then have dinner at night while you watch the sun set and cruise ships head out.
I could go on for hours about this trip and all the tips we learned along the way but half of the fun was figuring it out. We had the time of our lives on this vacation and we can't wait to come back!!!!
We had a wonderful time at the cottage! It was bright, airy, and clean. We traveled to several beaches, but found that the one just down the hill from the cottage met all of our needs. It was quiet and lovely, and the restaurant/bar nearby was an added bonus. I would recommend this property.
Robert (the owner) was so helpful giving us recommendations for places to eat and beaches to visit! Jamie, the local property manager, was responsive when we needed him. The house is beautiful and well maintained. It's located far enough away from everything to be quiet, but within a 10 minutes' drive from almost everywhere we wanted to go. We prepared our own meals or went out to dinner as the mood struck us. It's within walking distance of a quite beach with a poolside bar. There's a washer and dryer, dishwasher, TV, big deck.
Our stay at the cottage was everything we expected, clean and well kept! What is better than having breakfast, lunch, or dinner on a deck that looks out over the ocean?...Nothing!
We hope to rent the cottage next year when we return to St. Thomas for some R&R.
We really enjoyed this cottage! Let me start by saying that we're only repeating what every other review here already says. The property looks just like the pictures, even better in person actually. Robert, the owner, and Jamie, his property manager, are very responsive and available to answer any questions you have about the property or the island. Jamie will meet you at the airport, and will offer to stop with you at a grocery store on your way to the property. He'll show you around the property and will check in with you throughout your stay. He'll also answer any questions that you have about the island during your time there. He was a good resource and point of contact in the island.
The cottage is lovely, spacious, and very private. There are floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms and living room, with great views to the sea. The deck is spacious and a great place to watch the sunset and the cruise ships pass by. We had breakfast and sunset drinks there everyday!
Lastly, the location is PERFECT!! You're halfway between the Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook. An easy drive to each point in island. There's also a nice beach (Limetree) a 5-minute walk down the hill.
We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in St. Thomas!
This was a very fun little cottage. The pictures don't do it justice. The beach is very private and is pretty good size. That is a huge plus. It is a nice cottage with adequate space and good size bedrooms. The decks are wonderful. It was nice to watch the cruise ships both during the day and during the night when they are all lit up. We used the cottage as a home base and visited many of the popular beaches on St. Thomas and St. John. It is also close to the shopping. But Lime Tree Beach is a great beach to hang out at all day.
The only thing I wish I knew about earlier was the roosters which start crowing around 6. This was not an issue for me as I enjoy getting up early. However it would be an adjustment for people that like to sleep in. My teenagers adapted pretty well. We just went to bed a little earlier. Overall Seascape was a super find and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Seascape is a cozy, cottage get-away located along the Frenchman's Bay hillside on St. Thomas' South Side coastline. Feel the Tradewind breezes as you sip cocktails and take in unforgettable sunsets from the spacious deck overlooking the Caribbean. Seascape is perched on a private half-acre, just a stone's throw above the secluded Bluebeard's Beach Club and Lime Tree Beach. At Seascape, you are just a short drive from any of St. Thomas' must-see attractions ... from world class beaches such as Magen's Bay (routinely ranked among the world Top 10 Beaches) and the finest, high-end shops of Charlotte Amalie to the local artisans and markets that bring Caribbean culture and history life. Take a 15 minute drive east to Red Hook, famed for its nightlife, restaurants, and artists. Hop on the ferry to St. John to enjoy its unspoiled stretches of tranquil beaches, sleepy lagoons and underwater coral gardens. Picture it: Sun, sand and sea. All that's missing from this picture is you!
