Amazing property. The property was in a great location - nice, quiet neighborhood, spacious rooms, kitchen was fully equipped. The location was near great restaurants, and a short drive to the lake. The furniture and decor was nice and updated.
We had a great time at the property and would love coming back again.
So many things went wrong with this rental. We were a party of 8 with small children and were hoping to have a great time, but experience was far from relaxing. Where to begin..(1) Extremely poor management. Upon arrival, we saw that there was outside construction happening just outside our rental. We booked the place 4 months in advance and received NO warning about this. One day it was SO loud due to workers hammering outside our kitchen wall. Dust everywhere. Also, a family member tripped and got hurt due to an exposed, uncovered cord on the pathway. Everyone we talked to - property management, construction, HOA association just blamed each other for not notifying us. Also, property management staff did not provide parking information and incorrectly told us that we had "owner" access to community pool. We had to pay $7/day per person to swim. Needless to say if we were given heads up about the construction and correct information about facilities, we would NOT have booked this unit. But there's more...2) Unit itself was dirty and dusty. We walked around in bare feet and after a few hours the bottoms of our feet were black, which we guess was due to dirty carpets. Plus, cobwebs and dust practically in all the windows panes. (3) WI-FI super slow. We had to request that a technician come check it out because it took forever to load email...even when we plugged in, we weren't able to stream a short video. It was like dialup speed from the 90s! (4) Even though rental accommodates 8, you will not have a seat for everyone to hang in the living room. There's only 1 small couch and 1 recliner..rest have to find their own seat. and (5) Living space is really tight. Pictures are deceiving! If you have small children, beware, there are about 3 steep staircases. They do provide a child gate at main staircase, but to come and out gets real tiring.
Do yourself a favor and keep searching for another rental...you'll be glad you did.
Full Disclosure: The property management did refund us for our stay and offered to find another place for us (by the end of our stay). But really we would have preferred to have a clean, warm, cozy, and SAFE place for a family vacation.
