Casa Tecolote is located on a quiet and intimate cul-de-sac right off of West San Francisco Street. This extraordinary three bedroom/two bath home is situated less than a mile due west of the Plaza, about a 15 minute walk, and just a few blocks away from the “New Sojo of Santa Fe” known as the Rail Yard or Guadalupe district. The Rail yard district is a bustling recently revitalized part of Santa Fe featuring the farmers market, restaurants, live music, galleries, museums, shops and the historic train station to Lamy and Albuquerque.

Tecolote is an authentic double adobe stunning home with both old world local flavor and all the comforts of a modern updated home. Soak in your private hot tub on the back. Featuring steal appliances in your fully equipped kitchen, which opens up to the dining room and its handsome Spanish Colonial dining room table and chair comfortably seating six. You may choose to fresco dine on the conveniently located spacious patio just off the kitchen as well. This spectacular landscaped outdoor enclosed space with mature trees, barbecue and perfect seating is both tranquil and inviting. You will spend hours relaxing with your family and friends enjoying a bottle of wine creating lasting memories of your trip to Santa Fe.

The dining area has an open layout with the living room. Highlights of this space include elegant furnishings, walls graced with oil paintings from a local artist inspired by our magnificent landscapes. Retablos, a traditional folk art of Spanish New Mexico. The rooms have very high ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers and vigas. Wood floors and an exquisite Kiva fireplace, making this space a delightful place to gather. There is a flat screen TV to enjoy as well. All of this is one the first story of the home, which also includes the third queen size bedroom and full second bath. Upstairs you will find two king size bedrooms one with a flat screen TV and a canopy bed. A perfect blend of antique and modern furnishings with Navaho inspired rugs and bedding. Upstairs with these bedrooms is a full bathroom in the hall. The most awe inspiring features of these bedrooms are the French doors that open up to a balcony from each bedroom. Up amongst the treetops you will witness a glimpse of the distant mountain ranges. Gaze at our undeniably tantalizing sunsets. And enjoy a morning cup of coffee.

About Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp

A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner/Operator of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC

Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.

While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.

Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp purchased this house in 2012

Why Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp chose Santa Fe

Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere.

What makes this house unique

When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!

We absolutely loved our stay at Telecote!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home is comfortable, welcoming, clean and well supplied. All the comforts of home...from cooking to laundry, if needed. We made good use of the upper patio and enjoyed the peacful neighbourhood and views. Easily located to explore both by foot and car. Managers were easily accessible if needed, and cared to check in on us, which was nice. We would love to come back, or, experience another of their properties. Will definitely recommend!

Tasteful, spacious Santa Fe home in a quiet yet convenient neighborhood. Spotlessly clean and maintained with comfortable beds and private outdoor areas. Very nice bathrooms with plenty of fresh white towels and bath products. Small efficient kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tecolote casita.

The home was perfect for us and it made our trip so enjoyable to have a beautiful home to come back to at the end of the day.

Cooking in the home was an absolute delight as was the hot tub.

We very much look forward to a return trip hopefully this time next year.

We will certainly recommend.

A lovely home

  • 5 of 5

I met with 4 others in Santa Fe and we stayed at this lovely, classic adobe home . The authentic and comfortable feel of the home added a charm to our stay that we all appreciated. Wendy and her staff are very attentive to making sure we had everything we needed. One suggestion I would have is to stock the home with a few more basics in the kitchen; cooking oil, butter, creamer, coffee and perhaps a little fruit so when guests arrive late at night, they have a little something available for the morning. It was very cold the week we stayed in Santa Fe and it was a challenging to keep the house warm but the house was exceptionally clean and comfortable otherwise. Location was great, easy access to many attractions.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review! Tecolote is a great mix of modern and old-style Santa Fe charm, and we are really glad that you appreciated it. We are also happy to hear that you enjoyed your interactions with us, as we strive towards the best customer service in Santa Fe's vacation rental industry. We do usually provide coffee and wine to all of our guests, but will consider adding some of those extras in the future. We are sorry that the heating was a challenge, but such is the case in larger homes like Tecolote. Usually the heat has to be turned on 24/7. We always turn the heat on in our homes before our guests arrive. We hope to see you in Santa Fe some time soon!
