The master bedroom contains a luxurious California King-sized bed, and three other bedrooms will provide comfortable snoozing accommodations for each person in your group. After your exciting day of water activities, you can continue the fun in your basement game room, which is well stocked with board games, a dartboard and a pool table. The game room opens up directly into the front yard, which can also be enjoyed from your large deck! Enjoy the sunrise and keep your eyes peeled for your neighbors: wild deer! Just a short drive away is the Horseshoe Bay Resort, often a site for conferences, events and weddings. This home is the perfect private alternative to booking a pricey hotel room. You will find plenty of great rentals and activity providers to get your most out of this lovely lake location. If dry land is more your style, the ATV park in Marble Falls will be the perfect outdoor adventure for you to see more of the hill country. We were in town for the Marble Falls Tri and this house was perfect. We were able to cook in, sleep a lot, and quickly get to the race location. It was really perfect for three couples!
We rented this house for the labor day weekend. We were three families with little kids and it was spacious enough for our group. All the attractions like the winery, Lake LBJ boating, Canopy valley tours and Krause springs are close by to this place. The house itself is very well furnished. My wife said the kitchen was better stocked than our own home. Best part is that the owners were so good to work with. A member in our group had a medical emergency and they offered several options and were very understanding of the situation. In the end we went ahead with the vacation as planned but appreciated the options which were presented to us. All in all it was a very good experience and I will definitely rent this place again if I visit the area.
My family and friends rented this house 5 separate weekends last summer. The house was perfect for multiple groups of adults. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen for serving large groups.
The private boat ramp launched our 23' Nautique like a dream. We never experienced an issue. Loved the fact the launch is in a secluded part of the lake with minimal boat traffic. Easy loading!
Note - never had an issue with wasps in 5 weekends during the same time period.
The owners of the house were highly responsive and accommodating. They took care to ensure we had a great time... so much so we came back for multiple trips.
Having rented many homes across Texas I would recommend this house for group gatherings. The layout provides ample room for everyone to have their own good time. Downstairs party room saw many pool games late into the night.
We'll be back this coming summer :)
The highlight of this home is the herd of deer that feed on the lawn. One evening, there were 15 deer on the front lawn. Every time we drove in or out of the neighborhood, we saw deer. (Be careful driving in this area!)
We enjoyed a family vacation with 6 adults and 2 children in this property. The home is large, clean and suitable for those who need a little extra space to spread out. The kitchen is well-equipped and spacious. There are two living areas, one being in the back of the main (second) floor, which was perfect for letting the kids play games and watch movies while the adults played games at the dining room table.
It should be understood by any potential renter that the SECOND floor of the home is the main floor and you cannot go between the first floor and second floors without using the exterior stairs. There are no interior stairs! Those who have trouble climbing stairs (with all of your luggage, coolers, etc.) should not stay here. It should also be understood that the second floor has only 1.5 of the 2.5 baths, so there is only 1 shower on the main floor. If two people need to shower at the same time, one of you will need to pack everything you need for your shower and use the exterior stairs to access the 2nd less modern shower downstairs. For all practical purposes, the layout is similar to having a 4 bedroom 1.5 bath home with access to a separate building comprised of a game room and a full bath...kind of like a pool house.
We never used the game room downstairs because it was a little too small for all of us to enjoy at once and too far to leave the children there alone...or leave them upstairs with us in the game room. It would potentially work great with a family bringing teenagers if the teens can be trusted to play in the game room alone...or for just adults.
This property is more rustic than luxurious and we were okay with this, but others should know not to expect luxury accommodations which some may associate with Horseshoe Bay.
The owners were very kind and responsive. I spoke to them the day before arriving; they called to check in on us once we arrived; and we had a fuse blow one evening and they were over within 15 minutes to help, resolved the problem and left us a bucket of deer feed. They also checked in with us after we arrived home.
We would definitely stay in this property again.
We rented the place to for the weekend to get away for a bit. Once everything was setup, I got in touch with the owner, Aaron. Aaron was easy to work with and very friendly. The property is nicely setup with lots of instructions around the house. It was clear to me that the owners put a lot thoughts into the process and wanted to maximize the renters enjoyment. We really enjoyed the property and the neighborhood. Next time we head back, we will definitely look for the property again.
Driving into the area we were excited to see lots of deer and the 4 kids that was with us were very excited! Well when we arrived at the house we were very disappointed to see how far it was from the water. Plus we had a boat and the launch was a community launch and there was NO DOCK to park the boat. We were told to " tie it to a tree" by the owners. Wow. The house smelled very antique. The refridgerator was very dirty but we decided to go on and unload. We have ages5 months 2,4,5 and 11 year olds with 6 adults. As we unloaded the 4 year was stung 5 times by yellow jackets when we looked at the nests they were the size Of softballs! 2 directly under the porch in the picture. Very much occupied and been there for a while because eggs were inside. Further inspections there were 3 nests on the garage all occupied, nest under the porch beside the garage, all occupied. When we contacted the owner, being hung up on, and then discussing the situation with evolve travel company, we decided it was in the best interest of the kids to leave. The owner was very rude and hung up the phone on us SEVERAL times. We are NOT rude people. We wanted to have a good weekend with our families. We drove 6 hours to enjoy ourselves. We were here for 4 hours and left. The owner had many excuses for why she hung up on us, that's NOT how you treat people. Then she tried to tell me when the people went to the house to inspect the nests. They weren't there! You have to be kidding me!! When we tried to discuss possible refund for our 4 hours of hell, I got so many different stories I could write a book. After we left we found a beautiful place where we made great memories with our families.
I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place.
