The Coast Inn is a one bedroom cottage, completely remodeled and very very clean.
Cute and cozy cabin with three large old glass fishing floats built right into the wall. These add such charm, especially when the sun goes down. Sit on the deck and enjoy some wonderful sunsets over the ocean, after a long day playing on the beach. Coast Inn is a perfect romantic cabin for a couple, you can cook your own meal or hit one of the local restaurants, maybe do some gambling after dinner at Quinault Beach Casino, or my favorite is taking a walk on the beach and enjoying the sunset. Gas fireplace for ambiance . Tile and wood floors,(no stinky carpet) comfortable queen size bed, along with a top of the line, no bars sofa bed in living room, beach theme interior, with games, cards, and lots of movies to enjoy, along with premium movie channels, HBO-Showtime-Cinamax etc. with direct TV. Bonus MLB Baseball package! I will try and make your stay as comfortable as possible, if you need any extra's or special surprises/requests for your loved one before you arrive, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Moclips is a place to relax and enjoy our beautiful Washington Ocean Beaches, unspoiled by tourist traps, but if you like that sort of thing its just a short drive to Ocean Shores where you will have plenty of 'tourist type' activities. (Bumper cars-horse back riding, moped rentals, gambling ect)
I will be more than happy to give you any local information of what you can do during your stay in Moclips, day trips, where to eat, services, local history.
Be aware of rentals that don't have any reviews, a lot of them choose not to accept reviews as we can't change them once written, so rental owners choices are to accept all or none. Take a look at the Coast Inn's reviews to read what other guests are saying about their stay.

We are baby boomers. Raised in Tacoma, and married for 35+ years, we love the outdoors, and traveling to explore new area's.
Mary Hill purchased this cottage in 2005
I fell in love with Moclips 20 years ago when we would visit friends who had a weekend place. We soon had to have our own 'piece of the pie' and bought our very first vacation home. The Coast Inn used to be our weekend place until we purchased another, I then only used it as a guest cabin for family and friends, but now that I'm retired, we had it completely remodeled, and decided to put it in the nightly rental pool.
The first time we visited Moclips 20 years ago we rented a cabin for $100 a night, by 2am both my husband and I left like bandits in the night because it was just too dirty for us. I told him I would never rent a place unseen again, so we bought a motor home where I knew I would have a clean place to lay my head. Shortly after, we noticed a place for sale and now are Moclips 'weekenders', we built a new home on another lot we own. I fell in love with Moclips and I know you will too. Its Washington's best kept secret.
You will find the Coast Inn very clean and fresh, I pride myself on that fact. My goal is to hear my guests say 'this is the cleanest place I have ever stayed'
No where else have I been where I can walk a beach and most the time have it all to myself. Homes are closer to the Ocean than any other area on the Washington North Coast, Moclips is the first Privately owned beach front property on Washington's Coast. Anything North is either State Land or Native American.
Rich in history, colorful locals, unspoiled beaches, fantastic sunsets, great shelling, and clam digging are just some of the reasons Moclips is so special.
Wonderful, super clean, delightful place to stay. Definitely the cleanest and best equipped vacation property we have ever stayed in. Mary was the perfect host and her house was exactly as described and it was evident she took great pride in it. Very good TV channels and wifi. It should be noted that the entire area has no cell phone coverage unless you have Verizon. Would definitely stay again.
Very comfortable, clean, and relaxing cottage. Mary was very attentive and she and her husband clearly take great care to make their guests welcome.
We loved our stay at Coast Inn. Mary is the nicest person and the best vacation host. Besides being spotless, the house had anything we might have needed--umbrella, coats, hats, games, toiletries, DVD player, VCR, stereo, movies, cable TV, wireless internet (2 Mbps), paper, pens, a lighter, etc., and everything was labeled for easy use, even the remotes. The kitchen was also fully stocked with dishes and appliances. There were even condiments and some snacks that Mary had left for us.
We slept better than we do at home, not just because the bed was comfy, but because the neighborhood was so quiet. Almost the only thing we heard was the sound of the waves. The well water tasted so good we filled up our travel container to take some home. And there was lots of hot water for the extra-deep bathtub.
It’s a great place for people with allergies because there are hardwood and tile floors, no animals, no chemical odors, and the mattress and pillows have allergy encasements. I also appreciate that Mary washes the duvet cover as well as the sheets before every guest. The sofa and loveseat appear to be brand new. I opened up the sofa bed (no bars) and it looked to be pretty comfortable for a third person.
Our first day we walked on the beach near the house. We saw two forts and a swing made from driftwood. I sat on the swing while my husband looked for fishing floats among the dunes. Many of the houses in Moclips had great collections of floats hanging on the fences. For lunch we had Native American fry bread at the Moclips Country Store and it was delicious. (They also have fresh-baked cinnamon rolls at 7am, yummy.)
One day we drove an hour north to Kalaloch Lodge and Ruby Beach. Kalaloch is great for kids because there are lots of shallow areas where the water warms up and logs to climb on, and the little store sells ice cream cones and other goodies. Ruby Beach has great views of big rocks in the water, but you have to climb over lots of logs to get to the sand.
My husband usually doesn’t like to return to the same place, but he says he definitely wants to come back to the Coast Inn. (I think he wants to keep looking for a float washed up on the beach.) Maybe we’ll come back in the winter for storm season. The gas fireplace in the cabin really keeps the place warm.
This was our 40th anniversary getaway. We picked the perfect place! Mary filled her cottage with so many special things for us for our arrival! Really touching. The cottage was just as described---clean (very much so) and we had the pleasure of meeting Mary. A very lovely, gracious person. Lots of opportunities for walking here---we took morning walks on the street and enjoyed our beach walks too. Wandered down to where the Moclips River meets the Pacific Ocean----peaceful place with many photo opportunities. Our first night there, we took a path down to the beach---we saw what we first thought was a seagull sitting on the beach----nope, it was an eagle! Before my husband could get his camera ready, the eagle flew away. Mary gave us a "head's up" about "Taco Tuesday" at the Moclips Country store and deli----well, we took part. The Indian fry-bread tacos are so, so good. Thanks, Mary, for some great 40th anniversary memories!
I loved our stay at Moclips! The house was so nice and clean and we had surprise treats on table when we arrived. Also a painted sand dollar gift.
I can't begin to tell you all the things in house that were there for our convenience. We stayed four night and enjoyed every minute of it!
Mary and Susan are wonderful to keep in touch and help in any way they can. I would recommend for anyone who can to stay and enjoy the beach. When we were there we saw two other people on the beach , most days no one but us. So private and secluded!
(I wrote the following poem, but to long for review) ha ha
We arrived on time and who did we meet?
Susan came over, and she was a treat.
Wanting our stay to be good as could be
Explaining everything, to Clay and to me.
She made us laugh over something forgot..
But just the same, we love her a lot.
Everything clean, with treats on the table
We turned on TV, and 'yes' we have cable.
The fireplace adds
We feel we're 'updated'..........
Yet, live on a farm!
The quiet is something
That soothes our dear soul
Then this environment
Makes us feel whole!
Everyone should experience
This kind of life......
Free from anxieties....
Free from all strife.
Oh, it's worth the money
(I must confess)
For peaceful days at Moclips
They are the 'best'
I must tell my friends
To stay a few days
For our stay at Coast Inn
I can't help but praise!!!
We found the rental to be everything the listing promised and more. It was immaculately clean and perfectly maintained. Mary was on vacation during our stay, but her neighbor, Susan, stopped by to introduce herself and promised to provide any help we might need. It's a perfect location for a quite get-away, with wonderful ocean sounds and gorgeous sunsets. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, as we did. (We made fresh scallops, salmon and halibut during our stay. You've got to eat seafood when you're by the ocean.) But Mary provides a listing with recommendations of all the local restaurants and stores. It's relatively close to the south entrance to Olympic National Park. The rest of the park requires more driving, but we packed a lunch each day and saw it all. The very reasonable price made it well worth the money. We'll definitely recommend it to our family and friends. And here's a bonus: if you stay late June or early July you can pick your own raspberries out in the back yard.
Kite flying-small bowling alley and massage/gym-swimming pool close by you can buy a day pass for.
Drive to Pacific Beach, Seabrook, Ocean Shores, Tahola, Lake Quinault, Rain Forest, and the Olympic Peninsula.
