Moclips 'Coast Inn' 2015 Winner King 5 TV Top 5 Best Rental, Very Clean Wi-Fi

Minimum Stay 2 nights

Olympic Peninsula Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath

King 5 "Best Vacation Rental" 2015. Winner of only stand alone rental, placed 5th overall.

All other top 5 are multi units have over 100+ rentals so this is quite the honor for the Coast Inn.

NO VRBO Service fee!!!

The Coast Inn is a one bedroom cottage, completely remodeled and very very clean.

Cute and cozy cabin with three large old glass fishing floats built right into the wall. These add such charm, especially when the sun goes down. Sit on the deck and enjoy some wonderful sunsets over the ocean, after a long day playing on the beach. Coast Inn is a perfect romantic cabin for a couple, you can cook your own meal or hit one of the local restaurants, maybe do some gambling after dinner at Quinault Beach Casino, or my favorite is taking a walk on the beach and enjoying the sunset. Gas fireplace for ambiance . Tile and wood floors,(no stinky carpet) comfortable queen size bed, along with a top of the line, no bars sofa bed in living room, beach theme interior, with games, cards, and lots of movies to enjoy, along with premium movie channels, HBO-Showtime-Cinamax etc. with direct TV. Bonus MLB Baseball package! I will try and make your stay as comfortable as possible, if you need any extra's or special surprises/requests for your loved one before you arrive, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Moclips is a place to relax and enjoy our beautiful Washington Ocean Beaches, unspoiled by tourist traps, but if you like that sort of thing its just a short drive to Ocean Shores where you will have plenty of 'tourist type' activities. (Bumper cars-horse back riding, moped rentals, gambling ect)

I will be more than happy to give you any local information of what you can do during your stay in Moclips, day trips, where to eat, services, local history.

Be aware of rentals that don't have any reviews, a lot of them choose not to accept reviews as we can't change them once written, so rental owners choices are to accept all or none. Take a look at the Coast Inn's reviews to read what other guests are saying about their stay.

About Mary Hill

We are baby boomers. Raised in Tacoma, and married for 35+ years, we love the outdoors, and traveling to explore new area's.

Mary Hill purchased this cottage in 2005

Why Mary Hill chose Olympic Peninsula

I fell in love with Moclips 20 years ago when we would visit friends who had a weekend place. We soon had to have our own 'piece of the pie' and bought our very first vacation home. The Coast Inn used to be our weekend place until we purchased another, I then only used it as a guest cabin for family and friends, but now that I'm retired, we had it completely remodeled, and decided to put it in the nightly rental pool.

The first time we visited Moclips 20 years ago we rented a cabin for $100 a night, by 2am both my husband and I left like bandits in the night because it was just too dirty for us. I told him I would never rent a place unseen again, so we bought a motor home where I knew I would have a clean place to lay my head. Shortly after, we noticed a place for sale and now are Moclips 'weekenders', we built a new home on another lot we own. I fell in love with Moclips and I know you will too. Its Washington's best kept secret.

You will find the Coast Inn very clean and fresh, I pride myself on that fact. My goal is to hear my guests say 'this is the cleanest place I have ever stayed'

What makes this cottage unique

No where else have I been where I can walk a beach and most the time have it all to myself. Homes are closer to the Ocean than any other area on the Washington North Coast, Moclips is the first Privately owned beach front property on Washington's Coast. Anything North is either State Land or Native American.

Rich in history, colorful locals, unspoiled beaches, fantastic sunsets, great shelling, and clam digging are just some of the reasons Moclips is so special.

It was great!

  • 5 of 5

I loved our stay at Moclips! The house was so nice and clean and we had surprise treats on table when we arrived. Also a painted sand dollar gift.

I can't begin to tell you all the things in house that were there for our convenience. We stayed four night and enjoyed every minute of it!

Mary and Susan are wonderful to keep in touch and help in any way they can. I would recommend for anyone who can to stay and enjoy the beach. When we were there we saw two other people on the beach , most days no one but us. So private and secluded!

(I wrote the following poem, but to long for review) ha ha

We arrived on time and who did we meet?

Susan came over, and she was a treat.

Wanting our stay to be good as could be

Explaining everything, to Clay and to me.

She made us laugh over something forgot..

But just the same, we love her a lot.

Everything clean, with treats on the table

We turned on TV, and 'yes' we have cable.

The fireplace adds

Incredible charm

We feel we're 'updated'..........

Yet, live on a farm!

The quiet is something

That soothes our dear soul

Then this environment

Makes us feel whole!

Everyone should experience

This kind of life......

Free from anxieties....

Free from all strife.

Oh, it's worth the money

(I must confess)

For peaceful days at Moclips

They are the 'best'

I must tell my friends

To stay a few days

For our stay at Coast Inn

I can't help but praise!!!

Immaculately clean and cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We found the rental to be everything the listing promised and more. It was immaculately clean and perfectly maintained. Mary was on vacation during our stay, but her neighbor, Susan, stopped by to introduce herself and promised to provide any help we might need. It's a perfect location for a quite get-away, with wonderful ocean sounds and gorgeous sunsets. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, as we did. (We made fresh scallops, salmon and halibut during our stay. You've got to eat seafood when you're by the ocean.) But Mary provides a listing with recommendations of all the local restaurants and stores. It's relatively close to the south entrance to Olympic National Park. The rest of the park requires more driving, but we packed a lunch each day and saw it all. The very reasonable price made it well worth the money. We'll definitely recommend it to our family and friends. And here's a bonus: if you stay late June or early July you can pick your own raspberries out in the back yard.

Perfect location with amazing views and so great to work with!

  • 5 of 5

This house is the cutest little bungalow! I booked it for my in-laws on a romantic getaway and they couldn't have been more pleased! Mary is hands down the best VRBO host that I have ever worked with! You can't beat the value of this property - they drove all over the coastal area and felt that the beach in front of this property was the best!! It was "eat off the floor clean" and the personalized gifts were the icing on the cake!

Very unique and relaxing!! Beat birthday getaway spot ever!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What can I say that's not already said with these wonderful reviews. This location is beautiful and very relaxing. The owners have taken great strides to make their place unique, special, and feel like home. Everything about it was perfect!! My love took me on a surprise trip to Moclips for my birthday and Mary took the extra step to have it decorated for us. I felt so special! The settings both indoor and outdoor are cozy and just a short trip to the beach! We visited the local food places and flew kites, beach combed, hiked in the Quinalt forest to the big cedar tree and thoroughly enjoyed coming back to rest in this cozy cabin. I highly recommend you stay here. Very clean, well cared for and a unique experience. We will be back for sure!!!

We set this as a birthday trip for my husband and Mary went above and beyond to even set up birthday banners, cups and goodie basket. It was as described with being clean, cozy, calm, quiet and welcoming. Perfect size for two people. Opened windows to hear ocean which I liked! Clean place with resources listed. Mary was welcoming and we would return. Place was as described and advertised.

Beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind. The cottage was so cute and homey. So close to everything.

We spent most of our time at the beach. Mary has been the most gracious host. She provided everything that was needed with above and beyond all the little touches.

The weather was wonderful and we have even talked off going back. Thank you both for your hospitality.
