4-bedroom, 3-bathroom lakefront Chalet with stunning views and beach

This property has panoramic lake views from nearly every room, a big, clean sandy beach, granite kitchen, cozy living spaces, manicured landscaping with lawns and privacy, gas and wood stoves, wide pine floors, private dock, and a large wrap-around deck. A 23 ft. Sylvan pontoon boat is also available separately (inquire directly to owner). This home has the classic lake cabin feel. Relax on the beach, on on lawn overlooking the lake, on the log swing chair, on the deck, or by the great outdoor fire pit. In addition, it’s close to all New Hampshire’s attractions and White Mountains, making it the perfect place for your your family vacation! Your week will be filled with great memories.

A description of the rooms: The “Kid's” bedroom sleeps 3-4 including a bunk bed with full mattress on the bottom, single on top, and another separate single bed as well. There is a full bath adjacent to this bedroom. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, openable skylights, knotty pine vaulted ceilings, and ceiling fans. The adjacent bathroom has a double vanity, knotty pine, tile, and openable skylight over the tub/shower. The 4th bedroom is on the lower level, and has a California king bed and several windows with direct lake views. Also on the lower walk-out level is the 3rd bathroom. It has a washer and dryer,

and a shower.

There are 3 different "living areas,," including the main floor open living room, a 4-season porch with lots of windows, and a family room in the lower level. Every living area has lake views.

The house was designed by the owner, and was completed in 1999. It is the owner’s

second home and it is maintained with great care. The home's interior is decorated in a northern cabin/lodge theme, yet it has modern features such a flat screen TVs and wireless internet.

About 100 ft from the house is a “carriage

house” which has a 1 bedroom apartment over the garage. This separate living unit is used in summer by the owner during weeks when the main house is rented. The carriage house apartment might be rented if you have a very large group and need space for up to 13 people. Inquire directly to owner at 603-930-3328 regarding this.

In summertime the house stays cool and breezy with its high ceilings, large windows, and many ceiling fans. There are also 2 window air conditioners that can be used on hot or humid evenings. During fall and winter months the home is kept warm with a 4-zone FHW central heating system, as well as a Vermont Castings gas stove, on the lower level in the family room. The home is cozy and comfortable any time of year.

The stereo system w MP3 input has both indoor and outdoor speakers. There is basic cable TV, several televisions, DVD players, and wireless internet is included as well.

Relax on the sandy beach areas. The lake bottom is sand and slopes gradually - great for small children. You can jump in from the end of the dock as well. There are chairs and some toys for the beach, and an Old Towne canoe is available for your use as well.

If you prefer a shady spot there are several nice places to sit and read, or just look out over the lake.

After dinner make a campfire and listen to the lions and maybe a whippoorwill.

If you like fishing you will find some action here as well, so bring your gear or there are a few rods available for use as well.

The Ossipee and Mt. Washington Valley areas have much to offer in terms of recreational activities and sight-seeing, including ski areas, hiking, golf, shopping and restaurants in North Conway, the famous Kancamagus Highway, the Mount Washington COG railway, and many other New Hampshire natural attractions. Golf is nearby as well.

The city of Portland, Maine is 50 miles east, and North Conway is 20 miles north.

* FROM JUNE 15th - AUGUST 31st, RENTAL check-in time is Friday at 4 pm. Check-out is the following Friday at 10 am. ( No weekend rentals during the summer months)

* THERE IS A STRICT OCCUPANCY LIMIT OF 10 GUESTS in the Main house. No loud parties are allowed. Also no extra guests without prior permission.

* NO PETS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED

* OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO USE THE SEPARATE CARRIAGE HOUSE APARTMENT DURING YOUR STAY.

* You may bring your boat, or rent the owner’s pontoon boat (see description below), or reserve a rental boat from of the marinas. Please notify the owner if you plan on doing this so the owner can make dock space by relocating one of his boats.

*OWNER'S 23 FT. SYLVAN MANDALAY PONTOON BOAT MAY BE RENTED SEPARATELY IF YOU HAVE A BOATER'S LICENSE IN ANY STATE. PLEASE INQUIRE DIRECTLY TO OWNER.

Dr. Steadman is a long-time New Hampshire resident and optometrist practicing in Southern NH. He is also a fan of all kinds of water sports, and an avid landscaper and do-it-yourselfer. Many of the features of this unique home were either designed or constructed by the owner, including a few pieces of the furniture. THIS HOME HAS BEEN CREATED AND CARED FOR BY IT'S OWNER AND IS AVAILABLE FOR ONLY 4-5 WEEKS PER SUMMER TO FAMILIES THAT WILL TREAT IT WITH CARE AND RESPECT.

Classic lake house with privacy and great views

Overall a beautiful lakefront home with everything you could ask for. Owner takes great pride in it and has worked hard on making it what it is. Sandy beach with a clean, sandy bottom and no weeds and gradual slope. Excellent for small children.

Weekend Stay

This place is amazing, inside and out! The owner Mark, greeted us on Friday. The place was immaculate and you could tell that Mark had put in a great deal of time cleaning and making sure all was ready for us. The outdoor area provided plenty of room for yard games and the grill available to cook out on. Beautiful view of the lake. Golf courses in driving distance which was a plus for us!

Mark is an awesome guy, easy to book with and followed up on all requests and emails. I would recommend this house to anyone, young and old! Mark is a pleasure to work with and sooo accommodating! We look forward to renting again from Mark!

Absolutely stunning! Don't pass this one by

Mark recently started renting his lake house and my family and I are glad he did! We stayed at the lake house July 2015. We had 3 families trying to coordinate vacation time and being able to agree on the week was not an easy task. Mark was more than patient with us while we ironed things out. His lake house is exactly as described in the listing and more.

The pictures are great, but it is even nicer in person. The entire setting, inside and outside of the house is beautiful. The moment we walked into the house we ALL felt like we were at home. There was plenty of room for everyone in our large group. The entire property was kept impeccably neat and clean. We did have a small issue with one of the toilets which Mark took care of in a timely fashion. His attention to detail and making sure we had everything we needed was his top priority.

Some of us enjoyed watching the sunrise while having our morning coffee on the beautiful deck. Who knew that on vacation we would be up at the crack of dawn just for that special time?! Every morning and evening we heard the loons. Our group ranged in ages from 1.5 years all the way to 77 years old. Everybody had a great time! Nobody wanted to leave!! The house has two large grassy areas that you can use for yard games. We roasted marshmallows for s’mores in the outdoor fire pit. We had quite a few laughs by the fire!

The lake is one of the cleanest lakes we have been to. It has a sandy bottom which meant there weren’t a lot of weeds. We brought a small fishing boat for the fishermen in our group and were able to tie it to the dock out front. Our guys did catch a few fish, but not as many as they would have liked!

There is plenty to do in the area without much of a drive. Our group did some hiking at a nearby trail; shopped in Meredith and North Conway; visited Funspot Arcade; and the teens in our group even found a gym to work out at in Moultonborough about 30 minutes away.

We went out to dinner one night at Hobbs Tavern, about 20 minutes away. The food was very good and the atmosphere was really nice. We also picked up pizza from the Pizza Barn nearby and it was pretty good. What would a vacation be without ice cream?! Bobby Sue’s is close by (5 minutes) and their ice cream was very good!

We would HIGHLY recommend this lake house to anyone who might be considering it. We hope to be back again in the very near future!
