If you like, friendly owners, Ryan and Christina have written down some of their favorite local eating, drinking, sightseeing places not to miss while in Victoria.
The suite was very clean, quiet and in a great location. I would highly recommend this suite to anyone visiting Victoria or doing renovations on their house who needs somewhere to go back and relax.
We both really liked this modern apartment which was a convenient walk to everywhere downtown. It is right between 2 sports venues - hockey and baseball and there are good restaurants nearby. We both definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
Very nice location with ample room. The lcation was within easy walking distance of the Victoria harbour and other downtown attractions. The property was well appointed -- modern with all required amenities. Access to the washer and dryer was greatly apprecited. The guide to the local area ws very helpful, my wife and I dined at two of the recommended businesses and were very satisfied.
All in all, a great place.
This was a super tidy and clean studio located just on the fringe of the downtown area so getting anywhere by car or foot was easy. With a parking permit provided we never had any problems parking on this quiet residential street. The area was quiet, safe, and just down the street from the baseball stadium and a local Central Park with tennis, swimming and green areas. The property lives fully up to its purpose of providing a low cost, convenient access retreat away from the busy tourist areas.
All provisions, dishes, etc. were there, but I do suggest you provide a wine corkscrew. Also, the current Venetian blinds let in too much early morning light and wakes people up. Suggest you provide more black out drapery in front of the blinds for night use.
Since this trip we did not stay at the usual downtown condos and harbor front, this location encouraged us to search out other cafes and spots than the usual busy tourist places. So we ended up at interesting places such as Ruby's on Douglas St for breakfast, Octavio's deli and pastries in Oak Bay, The Shine breakfast and lunches on Johnson and Blanshard and for a better local night restaurant try Moxey's on Yates. All these provided tasty foods, reasonable prices, and were frequented by locals. The Market on Yates is also worth a trip.... providing unusual world wide foods, large pastry shops, great cheese selections, organic produce and more. You can eat outside at the tables.
This studio is a great bargain for price, conveniently located. The hosts are very accommodating and cooperative. I gave four stars because it is a solid choice for what it provides. The hosts meet the goals of providing a clean, tidy space, not large, with parking, and ease of coming and going. I reserve my five stars for a different range of price providing they live up to it but then you are looking at triple the price.
One thing we appreciated was that whenever we needed a break from all the traveling about, the place was always minutes away from stopping back at the studio and take a tea break and relaxing before going out again. Another was the no hassle clean up...I have stayed at a few places where they want you to do the bed sheets, towels in the laundry, wash all dishes, etc. Hosts said, enjoy your stay, they clean up so we can maximize our travel time. That can mean a lot when you are rushing to get a boat or plane. Thanks Ryan and Christina for an enjoyable stay in your lovely city.
A lovely little suite in a quiet neighbourhood close to amenities. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Brand New Suite. Located less than a block from Save on Foods Memorial Arena and Royal Athletic Park, makes this spot strategic for any music or sports buffs a like. Also note worthy is that there is Salon C - hair salon just next door for those travelers in town for a wedding or just in need of some TLC.
