We enjoy the relaxing time we have at Colonial Beach. The Bikini Bottom has everything we need so it is a fuss free vacation every time we visit.
Beautiful view of the river from the back patio! Nice little town to walk around and relax
We had a great trip! Great view of the river from the back. The cabin was perfect
We had a great time at Bikini Bottom! Colonial Beach is a nice little town, clean beach and friendly folks!
Colonial Beach Va is a step back in time. Laid back, low key, low cost location with a nice modernized cottage and a magnificent view of the Potomac River.
What was a cool factor is one of the main ways of getting around is by golf cart, so we rented one. They were all over the place. The cottage was on a quiet residential street and a short walk to the beach. No problems whatsoever with the house. Owners checked with us so that showed they cared. Had all you need. Locally, things to fill your time=beach, boardwalk, a three day blues Festival we went to, classic car show, some nice restaurants/bars=all within five minutes by golf cart.Fredericksburg was 30 minutes away. Another gem with bustling shops and restaurants in the walkable downtown. The Colonial Beach 7-11 store seemed to be the center of local's activity. All in all, a top notch cottage with a lot to do in the area.
We had a great stay at the "beautiful cottage". Everything was as described. The views of the Potomac River from the back yard were amazing - so peaceful. The cottage was actually larger than we expected. Clean and well maintained with a little cottage charm of a few antique and unique pieces of furniture. Nice kitchen, large laundry room, plenty of seating to lounge out on the porch or family room in front of house or kitchen/dinning room in back of house or eat under the covered porch outside or around the fire pit in the back yard. We enjoyed our two favorite restaurants in Colonial Beach 1)dockside (great views of potomac, music, drinks at the tiki bar and good seafood poor-boy sandwich) 2) Lighthouse (nice view of the Monroe Bay beautiful at sunset, great food more upscale, amazing flounder). We look forward to our next visit - Kiki & Walt
My husband and I came for a much needed get away and it was Great!!!! The area was peaceful and relaxing, walking distance to the beach. The house was wonderful, spent every evening in the backyard by the fire pit! Can't wait to bring our boys ...planning many more trips to Colonial Beach.
