Gorgeous view of the Bay including Golden Gate Bridge, Marin, Alcatraz. The pictures that we have taken do not do the view proper justice. Flat screen TV in living room, Master bedroom, and alternate bedroom. Decks front and back of flat. Also, outside glassed in porch for those windy nights.
Outstanding place to stay for a gathering of any type. Good value considering the location, amount of rooms and easy to work with owner. Everything was as advertised. Having space to park to larger cars (minivan & medium SUV) was especially beneficial given car seats are involved. Everything was as advertised clean and ready to go. The ice machine was not operational and there was a note on the refrigerator along with a large stock of bagged ice in the freezer, how thoughtful.
The view is exceptional! Everyone that stayed or visited could not stop looking out over the bay and city. The owners where easy to work with and we enjoyed everything about the house.
We would go back again and highly recommend it to our friends.
It is a short drive or cab to any of the sights in San Francisco with local restaurants within walking distance even with the SF hills.
We had 11 of us stay here for a family reunion. The home is gorgeous, and the view was fantastic. We did not bring our car, this house is so close to public transportation that we did not need to have a car. We attended baseball games in Oakland and San Francisco, and had no problem getting there at all. We took advantage of all the great restaurants and shopping, it was all easily accessible. I would rent this place again in a heart beat. If you want a great location with great views and lots of room, this is the place for you.
We stayed at this wonderful apartment in late June and even the weather was great. The place is huge and we stayed there with my grown children and their significant others. The place would accommodate twice our numbers (six of us) easily and the balcony and views entertained us for hours. Best value I have ever had in VRBO rental. Elevator made it easy for even us old folks.
We had 9 in our group visiting San Francisco to celebrate our son's wedding. Most of our group consisted of seniors 65-70 yrs. old. It was perfect. Those who didn't want to bother with the stairs stayed on the top floor and used the elevator. Others used the stairs. Beds were comfortable. The house enabled all to spread out and achieve privacy if need be. We were entertained notably by the views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. But we also enjoyed just sitting and watching people and their techniques for tackling the hills, and boat and automobile traffic. We were from different parts of the U.S. Never completely getting on west coast time, we awoke to a beautifully lit, quiet city and enjoyed the sun start to light the GGB. Sunsets were glorious. Make sure you look behind the house to watch the windows of the skyscrapers look as though they are on fire. It was great fun to observe SF after dark. The Palace of Fine Arts is beautiful. One evening there even was a drone flying about! At least we were pretty sure that's what it was. Hardly had the TV on. The house is vast and comfortable enabling everyone to catch up with their news. It couldn't have worked out better! We only had a problem with the internet and the owners/managers were quick to help us out. For groceries, Safeway is down in the Marina District. Not far but you will need to drive. However, for last minute items we walked to Green Street Market. If you need a place to accommodate a large group I don't think you can do better. Everyone went home with fond memories.
We had a group of 11 out to San Francisco for a bachelorette party and this house was the perfect pick for our 3 nights. Everyone slept comfortably and had a bed. Every bedroom was spacious, and there were plenty of bathrooms for our showers and primping. We ate many breakfasts and dinner at the house, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck watching the fog roll in over the bridge, and the living room was a great place for us all to sit and chat. It was also wonderful to have the garage for our rental car, and the elevator to lug our suitcases up and down.
The house is situated in the best neighborhood - on top of a hill in Pac Heights for killer views (and the full SF hill experience), and just a block to one of the best streets in the city for shopping and restaurants. It was super easy for us to drive to Sonoma for wine tasting, Mt. Tam for a hike, and Sausalito for lunch, and walking down to the Marina was a breeze. We would highly recommend this house to any large group!
We had a weeklong family vacation with nine of us, aged 23 to 97. This home was great for everyone. The younger people were happy to be able to walk short distances to lots of stores and restaurants. The older folks took advantage of both the garage and the elevator. The 97 year old gentleman stayed on the top floor, as it had all the communal areas plus bedrooms and bathrooms.
We all felt comfortable in this well-designed living space. And then there's the view--it's hard to find words to capture the beauty that we saw every day: the bay, the Golden Gate bridge, occasional fog, Alcatraz island, hills and sailboats.
We feel so fortunate to have found this treasure of a vacation rental. Hope to return there soon!
We are located 2 blocks in two directions to many fabulous restaurants and shops. San Francisco has a fabulous Muni transit system and is a very walkable city. We are two blocks from Muni in two directions and 6 blocks in a third direction.
