This listing is spot on...this home is beautiful and as described. My wife and I rented it for the week and explored the island. The amenities were wonderful....we utilized the kayak, snorkel gear, and other amenities! the house was perfect and the views are phenomenal. The owners are very attentive and care for their home and worked to insure we had a pleasant stay. I would recommend this home to friends and family.
What a perfect getaway! My wife and I booked this home based on the view and the pool and we were not disappointed.
Firstly, the island. Eleuthera is sleepy without a ton of activities, which made finding the right house all the more important. We rented a car and drove from the North Eleuthera airport, a drive of about an hour. The drive is tricky because of the lack of signage, but once you find the Queen's Highway you will eventually run into the house. When we go back we will bring more of our own food and take advantage of the grill as there was only one grocery store with limited options.
The pictures do not do the house justice. When you walk in, you are greeted with a 180 degree view of the Caribbean side of the ocean. It was breathtaking. The living area is totally open, with the kitchen, dining area, and TV room all in one large space. It was ideal for hanging out. Everything felt new and worked great. The master bedroom was large with a great view and a nice spacious bathroom. Water pressure was great everywhere in the house and the AC was fantastic. It was in great condition and very clean.
The deck is incredible and where we spent most of our time. Again, the pictures simply do not do it justice. The view is amazing and the infinity pool makes you feel like you are swimming into the ocean. There were plenty of chairs and even a large hammock we used. We watched the sun set over the ocean each night from the deck.
The owners were fantastic to work with and very responsive. The property manager lives down the street and was great as well, making recommendations for restaurants and even surprising us with a birthday cake for my wife. It was a perfect escape and we highly recommend this house.
This place is perfect for a family get away. Very private! The owners had everything ready to go with anything you could need at your disposal. They even bought a crib and booster seat for our infant to use! I cannot show my appreciation enough for that. It was totally unexpected and very kind. We went in late December/early January. The weather was perfect, but the pool and ocean were a little chilly. The views cannot be beat! There is no beach at the house, just very rocky waterfront. I highly suggest packing some water shoes so you can explore the water's edge. There are many beaches you can travel to. The furthest was about an hour and half away which ended up being too difficult to get to (if possible rent a 4WD vehicle), but the pink sand beach we liked was only about 10-15 minutes away in Governor's Harbor. We tried a few others, but they had trash. Take full advantage of the snorkeling gear the owners allow use of. You will see some beautiful sea life. Again, just be very careful the rocks are sharp! The private dinner was also a nice touch. The cook and her daughter-in-law did a great job and were very kind. We purchased fresh fish for one night and went out to eat a few others. The owners will recommend a few places that were very tasty. Overall the experience at the house was beyond our expectations. The travel there was a nightmare for us because the small island flights were less than ideal (We flew Southern Air, do not use them. They were a mess and seemed to have flights whenever they wanted rather than when they were scheduled. We missed our flight the first night because they decided to stop early and got stuck in Nassau which was not at all like our experience at Laguna House. Pineapple Air and Bahamas Air seemed to have frequent flights that looked more consistent. You will need to allow yourself plenty of time to catch a flight, but I would do everything possible not to try for the last flight of the day). The house was very clean and everything was easy to use. If you are looking for a private place with amazing owners to help make your stay the best it can be, book with these guys!
Where does one start when everything was so perfect! The house: you will not be disappointed! It has everything you need and more! The peace and quiet is beyond what one could imagine. Watching the sun set nightly was the highlight of the day. You have your own personal reef steps away. Being in the middle of the settlement you have the best adventures just a short drive in either direction. To the south there is lighthouse Beach, not to be missed. The north has more to see like the queens bath, glass Window Bridge. If you feel like a long day trip, go to Harbor Island ad have lunch at the sip sip! The lobster Quesada’s!!! omg delish! The mango daiquiris are the bomb! The beach on the island has the best pink sand…
1648 is a great place to eat a short ride north. There is lots of small hole in the wall places to eat. I found most very good. But if you do anything visit The Deck! North of governors harbor about 6 miles, sign on left hand side of road. You will meet Mark and John, great times, great food and a view to kill of the ocean. If you are lucky and are there at night, the stars are so bright it seems as if you were in space. Tell them the Florida Girls sent you!
There is many beaches to see, all have a different twist. Paw Paw beach is just one block over and we seen no one all day. Another must is the Friday Night Fish Fry! Dancing in the street and be careful of the bubba rum punch! It will punch! Lol
The owners of the house: I have been all over different islands and have never stayed in such a beautiful home that also came with beautiful owners. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They are helpful in supplying you with a guest book that informs you of all there is to see on the island. Kevin and Stephanie rate a 5 star themselves. You have Wi-Fi, cable, games, movies, music, masks, fins, snorkels. No way will you be bored!
When I return to Eleuthera there is no question where I will stay! Laguna House!
I can't say enough about Laguna! Our family was able to relax right outside our backdoor. We had a couple excursions but decided we preferred to stay put and enjoy the tranquility Laguna offered. We were able to relax and enjoy each moment with each other. We all came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. The pictures do not do this wonderful beach home justice. The center of the home is open and a perfect gathering place for everyone. The bedrooms are off to each side where there is privacy and quiet. We enjoyed the kayaks and snorkeling gear everyday. We will certainly be returning to Laguna again!

Wow!!! is a good place to start. Forget the fact that the island of Eleuthera is sheer beauty everywhere you go, staying at "Laguna" completes this MAGICAL destination. My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights and were pleased in every manner possible. The house (situated on the beach) offered breathtaking views. The saltwater infinity pool not only adds to the landscape it's very relaxing to swim day or night. My wife and I have stayed in many vacation home rentals and have never seen a property more well maintained, clean and user friendly than this one. On top of that, dealing with the owner, Kevin was a sheer joy. He was so organized, nice and accommodating. We will definitely look to stay here again and already have told many of our friends to check this Paradise out in their future travel plans. Even the price of $500 per night seemed like a killer bargain when you consider what you get. We have paid double the price for other places that didn't even come close to such a perfect getaway. Needless to say we highly recommend this amazing home on such an fantastic Island. Thank you Kevin for all your kindness and making this trip as seamless as possible. We we definitely will come back. Warmly, Mark and Katie of Redondo Beach, California
