About Denny Young

I moved to Austin in 1995 and immediately fell in love with this town. I had no doubt that this is where I would settle once I graduated from UT. We are a family of 5 and decided to rent this great house to Austin's finest visitors. I love interacting with travelers and try to accommodate any individual needs you may have. If you need tips on anything in Austin, please don't hesitate to ask.

Why Denny Young chose Austin

Homes that were built in the 1920's are unique. This property is in GREAT shape and just a few cosmetic touch-ups restored its beauty and preserved its essence. The house is very cozy with a solid construction.

What makes this house unique

This house has all the modern amenities necessary for comfort. Located on a quiet block, near a park and just walking distance to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and more. Centrally located, a short bike ride or super fast car ride to downtown. The house is cozy and warm, great to just lounge around and relax. It has a great front porch, to check out the neighborhood, and a great back yard for grilling and hanging out.

Great location and cute, clean house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over the weekend with our two children (ages 3 and 5) and it was a perfect place for us. The location is wonderful, the house is cute and historic. It was also very clean and well taken care of, with plenty of towels and other amenities. I recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Austin. Our kids already want to go back!

Spacious, comfortable, convenient - made our stay in Austin very easy

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay while visiting Austin - we were here for SXSW. In nice leafy suburb, easy taxi / bus ride, and short walk to a good healthy food market. Comfortable, clean, fully equipped. Sunny backyard with picnic table was perfect for breakfast and morning exercise.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house.

The location is perfect and the house was delightful. We spent happy hours in the back yard. As others have said, do take many walks around the neighborhood and visit Hemphill Park nearby. We were here for a month and wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Austin Location

  • 5 of 5

Great location to tour Austin. Lovely home in a quiet historic neighborhood. Nice area for walking and no parking challenges. Close to downtown - $8 Uber ride to 6th Street to enjoy nightlife. No issues with anything. TV, cable, A/C - everything worked first time with no problems. If you need more than one bathroom, you might want to look for a larger property. Otherwise, we highly recommend this one. If you enjoy good food, try The Hightower and The Odd Duck. Both have great small plates and cocktails.
