This lake house has been totally renovated! It has an eat in porch where you can watch and enjoy the boating and wildlife activity on the lake. It has a Gas fired stove to take the chill off the cool mornings and it has air conditioning if the cool lake breezes aren't enough. We have our own private dock for swimming and to accommodate a boat during the day. Enjoy the sunsets by the fire pit or on the porch or patio!
The 4 bedrooms will sleep 8. Located on a dead end street with large yard, great for kids, biking and walking.
We are from Maine and bought this house to be near our daughter and family. We never anticipated how much we would enjoy the lake! We split our time between the ocean in Maine and the lake on Oneida..
Susan Fitts purchased this cottage in 2010
A wonderful spot for a fun and restful vacation!!! The owners are so pleasant to talk to! They make booking a vacation easy and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The views are spectacular, the water is perfect for swimming and fishing, and the amenities provide ample opportunities for family fun, quiet relaxation and memory making. George (the neighbor) is welcoming and always has a wave and smile for you. I can't imagine a more homey and well taken care of place to enjoy Oneida Lake!!
Such a nice place to stay! Clean and furnished with all the amenities. We fished everyday and barbequed and relaxed for the most part. The next door neighbor to the right (George) will make you feel right at home. We made several friends and enjoyed most of our time there. The neighbors to the left (Doctors) are not so friendly and really didn't want anyone there while they were. Don't go on a holiday weekend as you will find they don't like people having fun. And if you have older children who enjoy bonfires at night and laugh and talk - this place isn't for you. Otherwise if you plan on going inside and staying there by 7 - 8 pm with not more than 2 - 4 people then you will love it!
Such a beautiful house on the banks of Oneida Lake. This house is perfect for a family looking to enjoy the lake on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. This is definitely a "peace and quiet" vacation with the lake steps away from the back door. The house is adorable inside with many personal touches. Master bedroom is conveniently on the first floor and four bedrooms are upstairs. Only one bathroom which wasn't difficult for our small party but if you take advantage of the four bedrooms you might want to plan AM showers. We swam in Oneida Lake with the water only coming up about five feet. George and his family next door answered all our questions and had a warm handshake and welcoming smile. Watch for the ducks and loons from the screened in porch every morning. And the nearby swan may stop by as well. An awesome gas grill lets you create great barbeque dinners but if you want to head out Sylvan Beach is just a 20 minute drive. Up on Lakeshore Road is Cooper's Landing and Chef Rob will delight you with his interesting wings. (Thai and Kspice - you should try them!) This is a great CNY getaway or a piece of heaven for out of towners. Thanks Steve and Susan for sharing your home. We had the best time!
