Guestbook comments from the manager

"We had such a great time in this cottage. Everything is nice over there! We went there for the thanksgiving weekend and we were able to enjoy a long, nice and restful weekend. The cottage is really full equipped, the beds are very comfy and all rooms are well set up and furnished. There is no doubt that we'll be back sometimes next year to enjoy that awesome place and its beautiful pier advancing in the lake Simcoe).

I highly recommend this place. Thank you Andrea for accommodating. That was a great experience."

We had a great weekend at the cottage. Very peaceful. We sat on the dock until the sun set then moved to the backyard and sat around a campfire while BBQing dinner The cottage was equipped with everything you need and more.

We found everything about this cottage property to be more than satisfactory. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The cottage itself was close enough to Lake Simcoe to hear the waves when the water was rough.....my favorite aspect of this lake. We hope to return next summer.

We had a good week, liked that the cottage is close to the grocery store, park and splash pad. Kitchen had all the appliances and laundry facilities. Overall a very good experience!

Beautiful Place to Stay

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The weather was perfect and the view was beautiful. We spent most of our time outside and in the water. The front and back yards are good sizes to play any games, or just laze around with both shady and sunny areas to accommodate everyone.

The cottage itself is very spacious. We really enjoyed the large kitchen table and loved that the bedrooms are tucked away at the one end of the cottage, so little kiddies can go to sleep without being bothered by anyone playing games or up late chatting.

The only slight downfall is the access to the dock. The stairs are steep and a bit uneven, but once on the dock entrance into the water is perfect. Water shoes are a huge asset as even though they are smooth rocks (for the most part), there were more rocks, with a few patches of sandy areas, than we thought there would be.

Outside of dodging the rocks in the lake and being extra careful on the stairs to the water this is a great place to stay. A great family vacation spot to enjoy with family, kids and friends.

Andrea was a pleasure to deal with. Her response time was instant. She was a great help and answered all our questions both before during and after our stay at the cottage.

Our June 2017 stay

  • 4 of 5

I live in the states and I rented this property so my family and my sister's family (from Toronto) could congregate in one spot. It was a great fit for our group. It has a nice big kitchen table that we could all share a meal around. It was nice to have the two toilets. Apparently we did run out of hot water but my shower was warm! It was very windy and unseasonably cool the weekend we were there so we couldn't spend much time on the dock (mostly to watch the sunsets) or in the water. However, the front yard is very large and blocked from the wind so we spent much of our time there. I did not find any of the outdoor games that are mentioned in the property description so it was a good thing we brought our own bocce ball set. There was not a hatchet for cutting firewood so we had to pick that up in town. I was surprised that the owner asked if they could mow both the front and back yard while we were there. I'm guessing the rain prior to our stay kept them from doing this before we arrived. Nonetheless, I thought that was strange and unnecessary. We very much enjoyed our trips into town. We got pizza to go at Crusty Pizza which was very good and we brought our own ball so we were able to play volleyball at the park right in town. I hope this review will be helpful to others that choose this property!
