For over four decades the Ranch has become our family's favorite place to be. We know your family will love it too, there's a magic about the Ranch that will make you want to return. Fabulous place to relax and play!
We adored our out-of-the-way barn home in Grover, Utah, beautifully made into a comfortable, perfectly appointed home for a family gathering. We were just two couples, but we loved all the space to hang out. We saw elk in the meadow and marmots in the pasture and bunnies under the wonderful sage shrubs that perfumed the air. Sandy had all kinds of information on local sights to see and we especially enjoyed discovering Capitol Reef National Park. We'd already been to Zion and Bryce so thought we wouldn't be impressed with this little-known park, but on the contrary! We were fascinated by the differences in the three national treasures and loved the many hiking and historical options.
We're very happy you enjoyed your stay, and that your discovered what an amazing area this is.
Great location. Great space. Great owners.
Location is much more stunning than the pictures show!
My wife and I stayed here recently with two other senior couples. Rustic (it is a barn) but creatively and beautifully redone as a vacation rental. Let me say first of all that this space is probably more suited to family groups than three or more couples traveling together. The open bed in the living area and the two beds in one bedroom might be a bit awkward for couples. We were close friends, so not a problem for us. Also, the spiral staircase to the two bedrooms is not ideal for older people, but we managed it just fine. That said, the location is just stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. This is a working ranch set between Boulder Mountain and the beautiful mesas and spires of Capitol Reef country. If you are like me (I grew up in the 50's wanting to be a cowboy), this is a VRBO that will be high on your come back list!
Best vacation rental ever!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Butch Cassidy Country Vacation at Elk Valley Ranch! The furnishings were lovely, the place was clean, we had everything we needed, and Sandy even left us a nice treat. Ariel, the ranch manager, was extremely nice and very accommodating. The scenery was spectacular on the ranch. We had fun going on long walks on the vast property as well as watching the daily life on the ranch. I can't wait to go back!
Thank you Kit, we're always happy when our guests enjoy the ranch. Thanks for coming.
Just wonderful. No need to say more.
The barn and the surrounding area are beautiful. We loved our stay. This place is a quick trip to Torrey and Capitol Reef. Another reviewer said that the location was 6 miles on a dirt road...it’s not. Maybe 2 miles and nicely maintained.
Excellent. The barn was a great place to stay.
The property was welcoming and ready to use. We had a great stay.
For those who love great hiking in slot and gorge canyons, or fishing in high mountain lakes or valley streams, or mountain biking, hunting, visiting one of America's most unique National Parks, Capitol Reef, this is the perfect place. It is Utah's best kept secret!
