About Jim Dillon

Live in the Burlington Vermont area. We love the lakes and mountains of Vermont!

Jim Dillon purchased this house in 2002

Why Jim Dillon chose Eden

This is our only vacation home. We use it in the winter to ski at Jay Peak and in the summer for the lake. Lake Eden is very clean - great for swimming. None of the milfoil, weed or algae problems seen in other Vermont lakes. It's a wonderful relaxing escape.

What makes this house unique

Great waterfront, clean lake, great downhill and cross country skiing close by in winter. Jay Peak waterpark and skating rink are new winter attractions.

WOW!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

Our stay could not have been better. The home owner is extremely easy to work with. The setting is absolutely beautiful. This Lake Eden cottage is a wonderful vacation spot. The views of the lake from the porch and the property are just lovely! It is very easy to launch kayaks, lounge or swim from the dock. It was GREAT not having a TV--we relied on the loons, ducks, shooting stars and crossword puzzles for our entertainment. Lake Eden is a treasure and this cottage is a great venue from which to explore and enjoy.

This house was perfect. Right on the lake. Rent the kayaks for more fun. Night time fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Daytime and night swimming. The lake is clear and clean. The house is comfortable with all you need. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Comfy beds. Could not ask for a better place. Thanks Oonagh and Jim!

A beautiful home for a summer holiday

  • 5 of 5

We rented this incredible house for a family reunion last summer and it couldn't have been nicer. Plenty of space for everyone and a beautiful yard for the kids to enjoy. The owners were very gracious and helpful every step of the way and we would rent from them again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful vacation property!

  • 5 of 5

We had two separate long weekends at the Dillon cottage on Lake Eden. The lake is crystal clear, making boating and swimming a pleasure. The cottage is clean, and cozy and comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen making meal-time easy! The three bedrooms were perfect for our family vacation, mom and dad enjoyed the master suite, while married daughter had plenty the of room, and single son 'camped out' in the twin bedded room. We would highly recommend this property for a lake-side get-away vacation of any length! J/H B

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

We honeymooned here 9/27-10/4 and had such an incredible time. We were a smidge early for the foliage, but did get to experience some change of color over the lake. Cozy home with everything that you might need. The owner was very responsive to my emails and easy to get in contact with. I'm so happy that we rented the kayaks - what a fun time! We couldn't have imagined a better home base for our many day trips and would love to come back in the summertime to take full advantage of all that the lake house has to offer. 10 out of 10! 100% recommend this rental.

A lake house like a lake house is supposed to be

  • 5 of 5

We, Dutch family of six, had a wonderful week at Lake Eden. As far as we have been able to compare, of all the different holiday homes situated at the lake we think the Lakehouse by far had the most beautiful setting. Lots of space inside and outside and yet very cosy, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the sunrise, sunset, peaceful surroundings, enjoyed breakfast in the garden, enjoyed listening to the rain falling on the rooftop of the veranda, we row back and forth over the entire lake, and most of all we were very impressed with the great hospitality with which the owners had invited us to their nice little holiday castle. Thank you very much Oonagh and Jim for an unforgettable week in Eden, Vermont.
