About Linda Trammell
The kind people of Sedona welcomed me with open arms and 'Cathedral Rock Casa' provided the perfect place to retire after a career as a fine art dealer in Aspen. I fell in love with this property and have cherished being it's caretaker and guardian. Now I've been guided to turn 'Cathedral Rock Casa' over to visitors and watch this special place work it's magic.
Linda Trammell purchased this House in 2000
Why Linda Trammell chose West Sedona
I've always loved Upper Red Rock Loop area and the uniqueness and character of the house 'sold' me. It just felt like home, and I've had such joy adding to and renewing it over the years.
What makes this House unique
I hope you'll love the location as I do. It has a quiet and peaceful country feeling, just a short walk to Red Rock Crossing and the creek.

Great location. Close to the State Park, Wineries and Biking trails.
We had a great time. Love the location, away from the crowds yet close to everyone. House has absolutely everything you need. Beautiful balcony upstairs shaded by an enormous tree. I felt like I was on and Island. Just come with your bags, everything you need is at the house.
Thank you for taking time to write a review. I love providing a comfortable place that nourishes the spirit and am so gratified to hear that it "worked" for you! Please come back again year after year.
A perfect Sedona vacation
This home says Sedona. Loved the location-quiet. Linda’s art was wonderful. Kitchen totally stocked. Close to trails. A big plus for us-allowing our 2 golden doodles to be on the property. A wonderful, peaceful yard. We are in our 60’s and this was a perfect getaway.
It was such a pleasure to welcome you. Thank you for taking time to write a review. I will do my best to "keep up the good work" and look forward to welcoming you year after year!
Comfort, Peace & Serenity in Sedona!
We spent a week at this home in Sedona and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! While it is a 10-15 minute drive into "town", it is well worth it to stay in a quiet neighborhood and away from all of the congestion of Sedona itself. We especially enjoyed hearing the coyotes at night! The house is very comfortable and cozy, with a nice private courtyard area & hot tub. The upstairs balcony off the master bedroom is a great place to sit as well. We had everything we needed -- the house, bathrooms, and kitchen are all well furnished and clean, and the owner is nearby and attentive, but not at all intrusive. We would highly recommend this rental to those who want to visit Sedona and the surrounding area. J&M October, 2017
Thank you for taking time to write a review. I love my "work" and am so gratified to know I'm on the right track. I hope you'll come back soon.
The Spirit of Home
My significant other and I booked this home for our four day trip to City of the Star People, A.K.A Sedona. I've been to Sedona about twenty times now and this was the best visit ever! This home is balanced and provides the perfect nest for resting up in between outings. It's very clean and has everything you could need, all placed in areas where you'd expect to find what you're looking for. The his and her robes in the upstairs closet will have you feeling pampered right away. We ate all our meals at the dinner table, lamenting that we didn't have more people to join us in this elegant setting that accommodates about 6 people, although it was also very romantic with just the two of us. And the hardwood floor in the dining room offered plenty of space for my yoga practice in the morning.
We hiked Devil's Bridge, just a few miles away, up Dry Creek Road, swam at Oak Creek, a mile around the corner, visited the Amitabha Stupa off of Andante, again, just a few miles away, and then spent our last day hiking Bell Rock and spending some time at Chapel of the Holy Cross. Both my significant other and I eat plant-based diets, and found delicious drinks and snacks at the Local Juicery, had a lunch buffet at India's Palace, enjoyed Whole Foods abundant salad bar, and savored treats from Chocola Tree, a vegan's paradise. Of course Sedona mostly caters to conventional eaters, but just in case you have a healthier palate, there are several awesome options to sustain you while in the red rock wonderland. We heard that Paleo Brio is a great restaurant for all types of eaters, but didn't make it there this time.
On our drives back to the Casita at sunset, Cathedral Rock, Courthouse Rock, and Bell Rock loomed before us. Imagine finishing off the day with those views! I'm back home in California now, but the rose color is still glowing in my eyes.
Very welcoming and quiet.
Fabulous location near hiking and the creek, with every amenity. Its a special place and the owner is easily available but not intrusive.
Feels like visiting your artistic Aunt in Sedona...
Home is natural, unpolished, welcoming. Kitchen is well-stocked. All information regarding the property was clear and worked well. Host graciously provided Sedona area information. Minor negative for me...main floor bedroom does not have a window that opens. We sleep with our windows open year around, so took a bit to adapt. Cell service is marginal in this area (isn't that the whole idea???). Host provides WiFi to compensate. Area is quiet and very close to Cathedral Rock. Easy access to west hiking trails and Hopi sites. Short hop to Jerome for sightseeing. Linda communicated clearly before we arrived and checked in on our arrival and comfort via text. A gracious VRBO host.
It was a pleasure to welcome you. Thank you for taking time to post a review. Just to clarify for future guests: the larger King sized suite upstairs is very breezy with sliding glass doors and another window that opens. The downstairs bedroom has an opening window in the ensuite bath, and glass block wall in the bedroom.
Hiking and Mountain Biking are right out the door. 'Swimming hole'and Oak Creek just 2 blocks away.
