I wanted to let you know that our family had a fabulous weekend in your vacation home at Short Sands Beach.
It was a little cold and a little drizzly but we made the best of it. Sunday and Monday were quite nice and we loved the area!
We hope to rent again in the future.
A group of 10 of my friends and I rented kendall house for a reunion in mid october. The house is big and beautiful and perfect for a large group. However, the only heat source is a pellet stove thay is hard to work and doesn't heat very well. There is no electric or oil hest and that is not mentioned anywhere in the VRBO description. We spent the weekend freezing and we're barely able to hangout in a group because we all had to stay in our rooms cuddled under the covers. It's a great rental for summer but it's much too cold for spring or fall.
My friends and I had a fantastic stay. Lots of room with everything you need. My only suggestion would be more comfortable furniture. The sun porch furniture looks appealing but is vey uncomfortable.
Close to everything and the outdoor porch is great .
We had a great stay at this authentic beach house in York. Everything wood; floors, ceilings, walls...making for a great beach feel along with the ocean views, salty breeze, and the sounding of the bell buoy. The pellet stove came in handy for the few rainy days we had on our 10 day stay. The location to town and the beach is convenient for all with kids and strollers at hand. A couple of us would bike to Perkins Cove early in the morning for the ocean scenery and exercise. The views, and the amazing porch well appointed with tables, chairs, and a rocker easily accommodated our large family get together. The large dining room table was also a plus as well as plenty of parking. Nice outside shower was convenient with kids coming home from the beach. The living room with pellet stove is on the smaller side, but with the porch, and enclosed sun porch, and large dining room, we spread ourselves out in our own cozy way. The owners were friendly, accommodating, and great hosts. I loved this house and will definitely book again.
Another fabulous stay at The Kendall House! You just can't beat the location (close to Short Sands, Long Sands, Nubble, Dunne's -- the new Brown's -- ice cream), the house, the porch (still my favorite part of the rental!!), the owners/landlord. We love starting our summer off every year in York, and feel very lucky to have found such an amazing property to stay at, and amazing family to rent from.
awesome house. great landlord. very comfortable place for us and our family. great location.
This is our third year renting this property; we have fallen in love with the area and the house and will continue to make this an annual tradition for our family. On cold days, we love cozying up by the fire for tea, and on the warmer days, there's no better place than that amazing porch! Thank you to David and his family for being so welcoming; you make the house a home!
