My name is Gísli Örn Lárusson. I am Icelandic.
For past twelve years I have been spending most of time time abroad in London where I have a base, but do travel a lot.
Still my heart is were my home is in my apartment at Melhagi Reykjavík, where most of my personal things are - apart from my books, which I have not managed to unpack.
You will no doubt note that in my apartment Buddha is dominating, for the reason that his wisdom has influenced greatly my own life.
I do sincerely hope that you will feel comfortable in my tranquil home
Gísli purchased this apartment in 2007
This property is different from most apartments offered in Reykjavík, designed to host guests mainly during the summer season.
My apartment is my home, where I am offering to share with you, as mentioned above.

She will be managing my apartment, living only 5 minutes away
Her profile includes for example - She will be delighted to advice, arrange and recoman where to go for dinner etc.
British Embassy in Denmark
April 2008 – August 2010 (2 years 5 months)
I organised all events, dinner parties and other gatherings done by the British Embassy plus other companies working in co-operation with the Embassy. I was also in charge of running the Residence of the British Embassy and the staff working there
Really just feels like home, nothing else needs to be said;
If we're ever back in Reykjavik will definitely try to stay there again.
Just returned from a fantastic trip to Reykjavik with my sisters, and just loved Gisli's apartment. Terrific location, 5 minutes to the beautiful waterfront and 15 to the heart of the city. Spacious, yet very warm.
Both Gisli and Jodis (. . .and her nice husband who's name remains unpronounceable to me!) could not have been nicer and more accommodating, allowing us early access and answering any questions we may have had. Just pleasures to deal with!
Will be back to this lovely country, and will surely be staying here again.
The apartment was in an excellent location, close to shopping yet in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Quiet, clean, calm, with good bed and facilities. Met by his neighbor when we arrived. Easy walking to town. No TV which was a plus.
A very nice place to stay. Everything worked, it is located in a great area and actually less than a 10 minute walk from lots of downtown stuff once you figure where you are. The Radisson hotel nearby is a great place to meet your tours, only about a 4 minute walk. Even though we were early Gisili's sister was able to let us in and show us everything and was on call to help us with the washer/dryer.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kitchen is well equipped, good space in living room and bedroom. There is a market two blocks away and a charming neighborhood cafe at the end of the street. We would stay here again.
Radison SASm Hotel Saga, has a spa, treatment centre and a hairdresser.
Melabúdin, a great supermarket is 3 minutes walk.
5 minutes walk to the seaside, where a walking, running, biking track is around Reykjavik
