2 bedroom apartment all with private bathrooms. With pool and tennis.
Independent 2 bedroom apartment. Separate, private entrance with kitchen and living room . Each room has private bathroom. Recently remodeled in classic Tuscan style with antique furniture throughout. Just outside of Florence, Italy. Short 16 minute train from Figline Valdarno brings you into the city center of Florence. Centrally located between the major tourist cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo, our farmhouse located in Reggello is a great place from which to plan all your Tuscan excursions.
Relax at the newly finished swimming pool, play a few matches of tennis on the old style court. Walk around the premises to enjoy nature. Take a stroll through the olive orchard, pick some biologically fresh fruit off the trees and view the farm animals out to pasture. Grab a bike and go for a ride to Reggello and partake in a delicious Italian gelato.
Organize a classic Tuscan dinner in one of the many quaint cozy restaurants and pizzerias within walking distance, or a short drive away. Grill out a classic Tuscan T-bone steak on the provided barbecue grill in the court yard.
Whatever your needs, we are sure we can accommodate them!
We are about 30 minutes by car from the city center of Florence. If your intentions are to see the sights in the city, I would recommend taking the direct train from Figline Valdarno to the center of Florence. It is a 16 minute train ride and then you don't have to worry about parking in the center which can be problematic. The Figline train station is 7 minutes from our house. Figline Valdarno also has a nice central square with all types of shops from ice cream / bar / Benneton, etc. And on Tuesday mornings has a market in the center. If you have plans to shop, we are located about 15 minutes away from 'The Mall', 'Groove' and 'Fashion Valley' outlet centers located in Leccio. These are the high fashion outlet shopping centers with all the famous brands of Italian fashion, Ferragamo, Gucci, Burberry, Sergio Rossi, Trussardi, D&G, Nike, Hugo Boss, Prada, Mont Blanc, just to name a few. Our town of Reggello, 3 km away, also has a nice center with small shops, ice cream, bars, restaurants, and the weekly market is Saturday mornings.
Check in is at 3pm and checkout is at 11am, but these are rather flexible. This is a small, family run business, not a large hotel with rigid rules. I'll try to accommodate any requests you have.
It has been my experience that when guests rent apartments with a kitchen, they tend to prepare many of their meals themselves. That said, if you'd like to have some or all breakfasts included during your stay, we can arrange that too . Normal breakfasts include homemade muffins, freshly baked croissants, yoghurt, cereal, juices, milk, tea, coffee, etc. We can also prepare lunch and dinner by reservation when the chef is available. There is a patio off the apartment with a gazebo for dining outside and a grill available for guests to use also.

Wonderful and relaxing
I traveled with 4 girl friends for an Italian adventure and we stayed here for 2 nights. Thomas was a wonderful host, gave us great dinner recommendations, and the apartment was clean and very welcoming. Would definitely stay again!
Most wonderful stay
We loved it! A wonderful appt, spacious, quiet, comfy and well equipped. There was a welcome pack which was handy because we arrived on a Sunday and a BBQ was so handy. Thomas could not have been more helpful if he tried. The pool was a godsend as it was so hot when we were there, I've never had so many sunloungers and lilos to choose from! There are 3 most gorgeous dogs who do like to eat with you, so be prepared to enjoy their company.
You do need a car to get around as it is out of the village and a train station down the road gets you into Florence in 30 or so minutes. I would highly recommend this appt and would definitely book again if travelling back to Tuscany.
Great Place To Stay
The Fattoria I Ciliegi was by far the best place we stayed on our entire two week vacation. Not only is it centrally located for visits to Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre and the Chianti wine country, it is a great place to just hang out and relax. We started every morning with coffee and a walk around the farm, checking on the chickens, geese and pot bellied pig. You are likely to accompanied by one of the most friendly dogs. The 2 bedroom apartment had everything that we were looking for, clean, kitchen for breakfast, updated bathrooms and a living room. We were easily able to get on the wireless network for checking news from home and email.
Reggello is the small town a couple of kms away. Thomas turned us on to a great restaurant there that is conveniently located next to his laundromat which is a great place to do laundry. We washed clothes twice there, once while eating dinner and once on a Saturday morning which was great because we had time to grab a coffee at the corner cafe, check out the town open air market and get a sandwich made at the store across the street, which we ate at on the patio back at the apartment.
Finally, Thomas and his wife were the kindest and most attentive hosts that we had on our trip.
Just one tip. We had a car to get to the apartment and drive around the wine country. I drove it into Florence for our tour and wouldn't recommend it. It's much easier to take the train from the Figline station which is close to the apartment. It only costs 5.5€ and there is free parking.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here in our small corner of paradise in Tuscany. Please come back anytime and stay with us. We look forward to meeting again! -Thomas
Lovely ,rural escape
We had a lovely 12 night stay in Reggello. The property is beautiful and you really need a car to get the most out of your stay. Great for visiting Florence, Chianti area and Siena. The accommodation is bigger than in the description as it now has a sitting room and 3 bathrooms which were all clean and decorated in the local style. The family animals ( cats, dogs and chickens) roam freely around the gardens which you should be aware of if that would cause you an issue. We picked and ate figs and pears off the tees which was lovely. A wonderful holiday.
Lovely stay in the Tuscan hills
Thank you Thomas. My wife and I stayed with our 2 year old in this really lovely little apartment. We had a great time. It is beautifully kept and clean. 2 nice bedrooms, a kitchen with dining table and two shower rooms. Quite classic decor and that adds to it charm. It had a good range of of kitchen items and even had some basic supplies in the cupboard with some croissants for breakfast!
It is quite far into the countryside and you would definitely need a car. We had easy day trips to Florence on the train (parking was free at the train station 10 mins away), Pisa and Luca (we would definitely recommend going here as it has some great walls to wonder round and had some nice shops and piazzas).
There is a menagerie of animals around the house. There were 3 dogs which were very friendly and 4 cats. One of these had just had 4 kittens which provided much entertainment for our 2 year old. There are also some chickens and cockerels as well as geese, rabbits, budgies, Terrapins. Our little boy loved seeing these every morning as well as bouncing on the trampoline and watching Thomas on his various farm machines.
The swimming pool looks great but on our week it was quite cloudy and so wasn't that warm. It was a bit too cold for our two year old but some other hardier one year old from another family seemed very happy. There is a good supply of floats and toys around the pool. The tennis court is a little dilapidated but the net looked good and you could have a game on it quite easily.
Thomas was very friendly and we had lots of chats around the pool or whilst watching him cut the grass. He offered lots of help when our flight got cancelled at last minute (due to a baggage handler strike in Pisa). He also helped with directions and recommendations on what to do.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable week and was very relaxing in this Tuscan getaway.
If you like nice charcuterie and meat then go to Greve in Chianti. Theres also some great wine places. Be warned - don't go to the pub for food in regello. Go to the little restaurant across the road by the bell tower and have the fish!

Fantastic holiday location
Our family stayed here for 8 days. Thomas and his wife could not have been more helpful, ensuring our stay was really enjoyable. The description of the holiday home is accurate and the property is very well maintained. The small farm is situated in beautiful Tuscan countryside, yet a quick train journey gets you into the middle of Florence, so offering the best of both worlds. The house was really well appointed and as it was very hot when we visited, the pool was an absolute delight. A superb and relaxing holiday.
