Wonderful home!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this home for 3 weeks while our kitchen was being re-done. It was a wonderful experience. The property is very easily accessed from Route 3 but you feel completely isolated from the world among the trees of this community. The home is wonderful - a great updated kitchen with a gas stove, very comfortable furniture and the master suite was wonderful. The backyard is spacious and has plenty of sun and shade - whatever your preference is you will be happy. In comparison to some other reviewers we did not find it to be that buggy - maybe a few times at night but it was no big deal. They really need to buy a new grill for the property - the one there is extremely small, difficult to light, and not powerful when you do get it lit. You are not right on the water - you have to walk down the hill to get to the small beach/dock where you can swim in the lake. That was fine for us because we went to Scusset Beach which is only a 5 minute drive and that was great. You are very close to Cape Cod - only a 5 minute drive to Sagamore Bridge so we did spend a couple of days on Cape. We were also only 7 min drive to the Cape canal so we went there to run/walk a lot, too. There is a full-size supermarket and other stores within a 5 minute drive so if we needed something it was easy to acquire. The owners use a property management company to run this listing and the company was always very responsive and professional with me throughout the entire process!

Lovely home in quiet central location

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family just finished a week long stay. The cottage was convenient for my daughter and her infant so they didn't disturb the rest of us. The house was lovely with a lot of unique one of a kind glassware pieces. The beds were firm but comfortable. The separate bathrooms was a wonderful feature. The house was on a very quiet private road. We never heard any noise from neighbors. It was about 1 mile to major routes and it avoided the cape traffic.

Perfect for Large Families

  • 5 of 5

This review is long overdue…but since I am starting to think about planning this summer’s vacation, all I can think about is coming back to this house! I booked this place for my extended family last summer. It was perfect – the main house is very clean, has a nice large open kitchen, it’s close to the highway, but tucked away in very cute neighborhood, and it’s only a few steps away from the pond. Even the little cottage house was really nice and clean - it had its own bed, an A/C unit, a full bathroom and a cute, little kitchen. My family was so impressed with this place. Yes, it does get buggy, but that is to be expected in the middle of the summer being that close to a massive body of water, but other than that – there isn’t anything I would change about it.

Very much hoping to come back this year!

Amazing! Renovated, but maintained cottage charm.

  • 5 of 5

A great gathering spot for a large family. Guest house provides perfect space for extended family. Wonderful patio for back yard entertaining. The proximity to the lake was perfect for families with younger children. Close to the lake, but not so close that you worry about the younger kids. Also, the water gradually deepened, so even at the end of the dock the ave 5+ year-old could touch. There was a 2nd floating dock within an easy swim. Wonderful evening fishing spot.
