I love biking and kayaking. We came to Cape Cod for summer vacation regularly, fell in love with the area and were lucky to acquire this lovely cottage as our summer home in 2013. We hope you enjoy the Cape as we do and come back sometimes.

What a fun week we had at this beach house. My two children and wife and I will definitely be coming back. Booking this property and working with the owner was an easy transraction. The house was incredible and so close to one of the most picturesque beaches on the cape. The beds were comfortable, kitchen updated and the washer and dryer was a bonus. The first night there we did encounter noise from the attached unit, not like they were partying, but in the later hours the TV was loud and their conversation was, well let's just say not a whisper. We chatted with them the next day and for the duration of the trip it was much better. I think the walls are pretty thin and literally this was the only minor negative of the week but the good points more than outweighed this one negative point. I just feel I need to bring it up for full transparency. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much to the owner being so accommodating and available to us during our stay. Loved our time here.
Came to cape cod over the weekend and we had a great time! We loved that the beach was just across the street from the house and all shops were a very short driving distance. When we arrived everything was cleaned and the place looked great. We all had a really nice time at Jim's place, not to mention the one time we did call him he returned our phone call immediately! Would definitely recommend to others.
We stayed in unit 19 and the house was in a great location for us. It was a very short walk to a nice beach. With 2 small children this was ideal as we did not want to be right on the water, but it was close enough that our 3 and 6 year old boys could walk there with us and we could walk back for lunch/breaks as needed. It was also a short drive to plenty of restaurants, groceries and shopping. We also found a playground near the penny candy store, which the kids enjoyed visiting multiple times during our stay. While on the cape, the kids loved our trip with Cap'n Kids Fishing (Harwich Port), going on the Pirate ship Adventure (Hyannis) and seeing a kids play at Cap Rep Theater in their outdoor theater (Brewster).
The owner was very responsive to our emails/questions before our trip. He sent several emails ahead of time to give us all the necessary information and did let us know of a couple of things that weren't working 100% before we arrived. Nothing was major and not all that surprising given we visited at the very end of the season. He was out of the country during our visit, but gave us the number for an alternative contact should we need to reach someone during our stay (which we didn't end up needing to use).
The house itself was not quite as nice as I thought it would be based on the pictures, but not awful given the price of the rental and proximity to the beach. It could have been a little cleaner (there were lost of cobwebs in wind sills), but again it was the end of the season. The worst part was the beds. One was ok, but the other two were incredible hard. Our 3 year old told us something was wrong with his bed the first night because it was so hard. The bed in our room was so bad we went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a memory foam topper, which did help a little bit.
We really enjoyed our trip to the Cape. However, I would not book this house again simply because of the beds.
My husband and I had a lovely time in unit #19! Upon arrival it was a very humid first couple of days so being so close to the ocean it had a bit of a musty spell. Once the humid air was gone it was 100% perfect! The proximity to the beach is by far the best and if you have a family with little ones it is truly perfect. Hope to have another stay there in summer 2016.
Great family vacation spot, within a very short walking distance to the ocean. The property is well-cared for and provides all the beach house amenities one could hope for. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. Would highly recommend.
Fun activities include fishing on the bridges over the Herring River, exploring the river with a kayak or canoe, or sailing on a sailboat. You can rent bikes and ride along the Cape Cod Rail Trail from Dennis to Wellfleet; take the ferry to Nantucket from nearby Saquatucket Harbor; race a go cart at the track at the intersection of Rte 28 and Rte 39. Kids will enjoy the batting cages, bumper boat or miniature golf. Long Pond is also not too far away. If you enjoy playing golf, Cape Cod has one of the finest public courses in the US, Cranberry Valley. You can have some peaceful time sitting in the Brooks Free Library.
