A really nice 3 Br 2.5 bath colonial nestled between two mountains. New central AC installed 5/12.
Relax on the porch and enjoy the views and singing of the birds. Play outside with the children in our large yard [ sledding in winter ] . The road we live on is private and has very little traffic and is nice for an early morning walk.
All bedrooms are upstairs : The large master has a log bed with antique dressers; there is a private bathroom. BR 2 has two twin beds with an antique dresser . BR 3 has a queen bed with antique dresser. Both share a bath which is locatd in the hall.
Downstairs is a nice country kitchen with a new propane stove and microwave . I recently installed new counters and a stone sink. The dining room has an antique table that sits six as well as a beautiful hutch.
The large living room has a gas fireplace and beautiful furnishings including an antique couch and several chairs. The half bath is located downstairs off the living room .
The home is very well apportioned and is very comfortable to live in.

We are both commited Christians and spent several years in the mission field.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
We chose Maggie Valley because of its driving distance to our winter home in Florida. Its mild winters and cool summers were attractions.
We picked this home because of its quiet location at the end of a dead end road ; we have grand children and wanted a safe location for them to play outside. The year round access was an important considereration as I enjoy skiing . The location of the home in proximity to both skiing , the Blue Ridge Pky and National Park were important to us. Also being in town and having access was a plus [ no 20 minute drives down mountain roads for a quart of milk !
I enjoy hiking , and there is an abundance of great trails in the area. Mall shopping and movies etc. are a very short drive to Waynesville. Maggie Valley itself has lots of restaurants and things to do for the family.
The home itself is nicely decorated with antiques and nice furry animals . It has a homey feeling , not that ' generic rental unit ' feeling that many rentals have.
It has a very large quite level yard for the children to play in . The large screened in porch is great for relaxing outside and enjoying the view.
Probably the most unique feature is that there is parking for up to five cars . There is a nice pond down the private road that has a nesting pair of swans in season. A fishing stream runs along the subdivision border as well.
This house is amazing. All of the amenities and such beautiful views. Can't say enough about the location and the beauty of the region and the house.
Will definitely book this house again next time we are in the area.
We rented this house for the long Valentine's Day/President's Day holiday weekend as part of a group ski trip. We wanted a pet-friendly option that was close to the Cataloochee Ski area and Tubing World. This place was perfect! Extremely easy to get to and we felt like we were at home from the moment we stepped through the door. The living room, kitchen and dining room are all roomy, yet cozy and outfitted just like you'd expect. It was extremely cold the weekend we were there- single digits the first night and in the 20's the next couple of days. The house was always warm and comfy and the adjustable gas fireplace really put out some heat! The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and each room had it's own fun theme. There were just 3 of us, but some friends of ours stopped by to hang out, and it can easily fit 6 or more. I dozed off on the super comfy couch in front of the fire. There was a little snow on the ground and the house faces to North side of a nearby mountain which was covered in snow, so it was a terrific view. I'm sure it's equally beautiful in Springtime, Summer (cooler) and then again in Fall to see the trees changing colors. I highly recommend this house, either for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay.
Plenty of room. We had six adults and 3 babies. Home away from home. Everything we needed plus some. Highly recommend.
House was just as described and more. Perfect relaxing weekend. This makes our families second time staying at Gideons house. The addition of the hardwood floors were a nice choice from our previous stay and made it really inviting. We will be back!
We are motorcycle riders and found the home to be perfect for us. The driveway accommodated all our vehicles and trailer's along with the bikes. The home was very nice and comfortable. The view from the porch was great. I enjoyed watching the birds.
We plan on coming back next year. Gideon was very helpful when answering our questions regarding the driveway for the cars and bikes.
We just finished a week+ at this beautifully positioned home. It is perfectly situated in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. Close enough for the convenience of accessing Maggie Valley town and great for access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other fantastic sight-seeing locations.
It was a perfect setting for the motorcycle riding vacation we planned. Thank-you for the well thought out and supporting thoughts for our trailering rig setup. Colors were in full display and the peaceful surroundings made for a great decompression vacation.
Ghost Town and Tubing World 1/4 mile . Downhill Skiing only 5 miles away . The Biltmore and Ashville amenities only 20 minutes . Smoky Mt. National Park only 20 minutes. Access to the beautiful Blue Ridge Pky 2 miles. Home is in Maggie Valley town , yet very private at end of road . Very safe for children and pets as virtually no traffic. Very quiet as the neighbors are all retirees.
