You will enjoy panoramic views of Monterey Bay from multiple rooms in this 1-story, mid-century Pacific Grove home called “Seadance”. Natural beauty surrounds this 1350 square feet, 3-bedroom, 2-bath house, just a stone’s throw from a gorgeous 15-mile coastal walking trail.
The entry has a covered porch, where you can enjoy morning coffee or sunset cocktails while basking in the 180-degree panorama. The front yard is landscaped with succulents and natives - including the electric-pink ground-cover that flourishes in the area.
The sliding-glass front door opens to a living room with a wall of windows, hardwood floors and a brick gas fireplace. An ocean-inspired color scheme of blues and greens, handsome mid-century modern teak furnishings and Asian accents can be found throughout the house. A handsome teak cabinet displays a shell collection.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complementary wine and cheese, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.
Relax and take in the vistas from a cozy grouping of living room furnishings that include a cream sofa, 2 contemporary upholstered chairs, a teak coffee table and a sea-blue area rug. A 50” flat-screen TV over the fireplace allows you to simultaneously enjoy a warm fire, entertainment and ocean views. A Blu-Ray DVD player and a video library are provided.
Off the living room and down a step is a comfortable family room with a brick-colored painted floor covered by a multi-colored rag rug. A unique teak bench -- 2 chairs with cushions adjoined by a table - is situated in front of floor-to-ceiling windows, inviting you to sit and gaze out at the bay, lose yourself in a good novel or enjoy a conversation. A library of books, games and binoculars are provided. Washer and dryer are located in this room as well.
A bright, efficient kitchen with white cabinets and coral tile provides everything you need for preparing gourmet meals, including a range with induction burners, refrigerator, dishwasher and various small appliances. Beautiful dishes, glassware, table linens and accoutrements allow for elegant entertaining.
The adjacent dining room has a mid-century modern teak table that can seat up to 8 and upholstered chairs.
The master bedroom, with stunning ocean views from corner windows, has a teak king bed, fitted with luxury linens, positioned to take full advantage of the vista. Furnishings include teak cubicle book shelves filled with books and shells, a dresser, 2 teak bedside tables and a double closet with mirrored doors.
The master bath has a small tiled shower.
A 2nd bedroom, also with ocean views features a queen with a teak bed frame, a coral coverlet and sea- inspired duvet cover and teak bedside tables.
A 2nd bathroom, in the same colors, has a bath with shower.
The 3rd bedroom has 2 twins with teak bed frames that can be converted to a king with Memory Foam topper and a TV on a teak dresser.
An outside area at the rear of the home is completely fenced with outdoor dining for 6 and a gas grill. One car can be parked in the single car garage where you can also find everything you need for outings to the beach. Two cars can park in the driveway and additional street parking is available in front of the house.

perfect seaside getaway
Okay... I'm almost reluctant to write this review because I don't want everyone to know how absolutely perfect it is as I definitely want to return next year and not have to fight for a date! LOL The location is perfect - I sat out on the porch drinking wine while watching dolphins, whales, seals and otters. The sunset on the last evening was magnificent. The fresh, crisp sea air is invigorating. The house itself is very cute and comfortable. Sure - it's older and has some quirks but it's well-maintained, super clean and has everything you could want for a peaceful - or adventurous - getaway. So much to do in the area - or do nothing at all and just watch over the tranquil ocean. The one-story design and walk-in shower in the master bedroom was perfect for my 88 year old father with mobility issues. I highly recommend this property!:)
Thank you for your wonderful review of our home. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the character of our classic Pacific Grove home. Until next time...
The view is heaven on Earth!
This house was perfect for us. The house was clean, cozy and the table was set for us! The view is breathtaking. We loved our time at this house!
Views from home are phenomenal, location is oerfect with bike/walking oath across the street. Tidal pools for exploring right at your doorstep.
Great ocean view comfortable older home with front porch
Very relaxing one level clean older home with nice front porch to enjoy the awesome views of the ocean/Monterey Bay. Comfortable beds. Great walking trails across the street along the ocean and to Lover's Point one way and the golf course the other way. We walked to the Farmer's Market, Caledonia Park for the kids, and delicious Pepper's Restaurant in Pacific Grove. Very close to Pacific Grove golf links which has a restaurant as well. We enjoyed sitting on the sofa and at the dining room table looking out at the ocean. Nice fireplace and extra study/laundry room. All and all it was a great home to rent other than the very spotty WIFI connection which was not very reliable.
Thank you for your lovely review of our home. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Pacific Grove.
In regards to the WIFI connection, we are sorry that you encountered unreliable service. AT&T found the router to be faulty. A new router has been installed and the internet is reliable once again. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention so that we could resolve the issue for future guests.
Perfect location and View!!
We stay in Pacific Grove every year, we looked for a new place to stay since our last favorite sold. This place was perfect for two couples and would easily sleep 6 people. The view was great, lots of sea life, the first time I have seen whales from a patio while staying in PG. We will definitely stay here again.
Thank you for your wonderful review of our home Seadance. We are so happy that you have found your new favorite home in Pacific Grove!
Beautiful ocean view
Well kept home right on the ocean....30 steps to the beach.
Pacific Grove is home of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the main entrance to 17-Mile Drive. Within this charming city, known for its old-fashioned, friendly downtown and colorful historic Victorian homes, are spectacular vistas and recreational opportunities. Surfing is ideal at Asilomar State Beach. Kayaking and scuba diving allow you to visit with playful otters. Tide pooling for the nature enthusiast is available at several beaches. A walk or bike ride along the shoreline recreation trail offers breathtaking views of paradise. Visit the Museum of Natural History, Point Pinos Light-house, tour Asilomar State Park, or enjoy the Sunset anywhere between Lovers Point Park and Asilomar Beach. Pacific Grove is known as Butterfly Town U.S.A. since every October the Monarchs migrate to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary where they winter until February. Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course is the top rated municipal golf in the state with over 70,000 rounds played annually. It is referred to as poor man's Pebble Beach due to its proximity and resemblance of Pebble Beach courses. Enjoy a walking tour of downtown Pacific Grove. The town had its beginning in 1875 as a summer Methodist camp where several hundreds assembled to worship amidst rough tents. Tour brochures are available at the Chamber. Pacific Grove's Past: The town had its beginning in 1875 as a summer Methodist camp, where several hundred people assembled to worship amidst rough tents. In time, the fragrant pines and fresh sea air brought others to the Pacific Grove Retreat to rest and meditate. The first camp meeting of the Pacific Coast branch of the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle was held here in June 1879. Fashioned after the Methodist Sunday school teachers' training camp established in 1874 at Lake Chautauqua, N.Y., this location became part of a nation-wide educational/cultural network. In November 1879, after the summer campers returned home, Robert Louis Stevenson wandered into the deserted campgrounds: I have never been in any place so dreamlike. Indeed, it was not so much like a deserted town as like a scene upon the stage by daylight, and with no one on the boards -- from 'The Old Pacific Capitol' By 1889, the resort was incorporated, becoming the City of Pacific Grove. The last P.G. Chautauqua was held in August 1926. Monterey Peninsula info: The Monterey Peninsula is unique in its combination of breathtaking natural resources and a multiplicity of cultural and entertainment possibilities. You can find something for every possible taste. For nature lovers, there is the diversity of mountain and sea, for picnicking, surfing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, beachcombing, bird-watching, kayaking, scuba diving, tidepooling, biking and more. If you want a man-made excitement, we have art galleries galore, excellent fine-art museums, local theater, outstanding restaurants, boutiques, a natural history and a children's museum, a world-class aquarium, and that's just for starters. History buffs will have a field day exploring the adobes of Monterey. There's so much to do that you cannot possibly do it all in one visit, which means you will have to come back!
