Well how could i describe it, i'm from the island and i live in the west coast area near the beach where sunsets are magical, but i never could have imagine how beautiful this place whats going to be, the Villa its amazing with an unique view to the beach and awesome pool (great great pool you wouldn't want to go anywhere else). I never could have imagine having a place like that so near me and not visting it before. I would recommend it to anyone and I for sure will go back soon. Ohhh and excelente service, great people.
The Ocean Villas have one of the nicest views in all of Rio Grande, if not all of Puerto Rico. The view from the balcony is lovely, as is the entire location. We have been coming to the Rio Mar resort for the past five years. We previously stayed in the villas on the golf course, but for past two years have been staying at the Ocean Villas. Just the right amount of fancy without being over the top. The ocean, just steps away, always has some waves to play in and has a nice gradual drop off for the kids. The villas themselves are within the gated community of the beautiful Rio Mar resort. The hotel with casino is right next door and makes for a lovely stroll at night. We much prefer staying at the villas away from all the hustle and bustle of the hotel. We have gone in both March and November, and it is never crowded. We had the pool to ourselves on quite a few occasions...nice hot tub to boot! You are a short drive from the Luquillo kiosks and amazing restaurants in Fajardo.
To top it off, Euniz treated us like family and goes out of her way to make us feel at home. We are coming back...!
We traveled with friends to Puerto Rico. This was our first time to PR. We were not disappointed. Everything was as they said it would be and better. Our accommodations were clean and well kept. We had spectacular view of the beach and the pools from our 3rd floor balcony. We nearly had the resort to ourselves, the beach and the pools.
I rated our experience with 5 stars, even though we had a couple minor things that came up. The five star rating was because Euniz returned phone calls right a way and immediately address our concerns. Thank you Euniz for making our vacation (actually, our honeymoon) a trip of a lifetime and memories that we will always cherish.
During our stay we visited Old San Juan and El Yunque Nationial Park. We also went snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and visited the Luminescence Bay. We were not disappointed with any of our activities.
I already have recommended this trip to anyone who will listen and will continue to do so. Thank you again for a wonderful time.
The Ocean Villas at Wyndham are unbelievable--ocean front with several pools and an easy drive to anywhere on the island. This villa was very clean, bright, and had all the necessities covered--linens, beach towels, floaties and sand toys, TP, dish soap, coffee filters, etc. Ms. Rodriguez was so nice and accommodating, made sure we got in OK and even saying after we arrived in the dark, "You have to call me in the morning and tell me how beautiful it is!" Although El Yunque is less than 10 minutes away, we opted for the Batey zip-line 2 hours away which was excellent. We zip lined, rappelled to the river, then boated thru a cave. Fajardo (for snorkeling) is 25 minutes east and Old San Juan is less than an hour west. A great local dinner spot is El Verde BBQ--heading west on 3, just before you reach 66, it's on the left. Make sure you take a beach walk past the hotel, to see where the river meets the ocean. Beautiful. Overall, staying at this villa was even better than we expected so don't hesitate to book now!
Our family of four (two adults and girls ages 11 and 14) just returned from a ten day trip to Puerto Rico where we stayed at this beautiful villa. It is on the third floor of an oceanfront building with two pools and a hot tub. The unit is very large for a family of four and we felt that it would have easily fit 6 and likely 8 people. The master bedroom has a king bed and bathroom and the other bedroom has two double beds and it's own bath. The large living room had a pull out that we didn't use but looked to be queen sized. The kitchen is small but perfectly fine with a blender, pots, pans and lots of dishes. There is also a washer and dryer which was very helpful! The balcony looks directly at the beach and pools and we spent many afternoons enjoying drinks there. The hotel is very close by but we honestly didn't go up there too often because it was crowded at Christmas and it was much more peaceful at the villas. The restaurants at the hotel were not good so don't waste your time/money. We loved Fern at the St. Regis, which is a beautiful property. We also loved several of the kiosks at Luquillo Beach - especially Congas. You also need to check out La Estacion but make sure to book a reservation early. I also need to say that Euniz was excellent to work with! I can't say this enough. She was always there to answer questions, stop by to fix a broken light or deal with challenges around wireless access and answered every text in less than 5 minutes. We even ended up getting stuck on the island an extra day due to flight cancellations and she allowed us to extend with no problems and even texted us when we got back to make sure everyone was ok. This is the kind of service you need to make your trip truly worry free!!
