Newaygo Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8)

Our cabin is set up to accomodate couples, friends and families with 'feel at home' lodging. It's a great place to bring your clubs and play golf or your fishing gear and take advantage of some of the best Salmon, Trout and Steelhead fishing in North America. The cabin is unpretentious on the outside but a 4-star hotel inside with a relaxing view of the Devils Hole bend of the Muskegon river. Our vacation home has been professionally designed and decorated and it shows. We cater to anyone who enjoys spending time in a National Forest. We have all new stainless kithcen appliances, large flat screen HD TV with full cable and great wifi for internet connections, air conditioning, washer/dryer, outdoor grill, firepit etc. to make your stay more comfortable. Our home is freshly remodeled from top to bottom. It is exceptionally clean and completly furnished with everything you would need for a great stay. Please visit our website for more details...

Keywords: Our 850 s.f. cabin is situated at 2485 Muskegon Blvd on the steep high bank within the Devils Hole Bend of the Muskegon River. Upstream about 3.5 miles from the small town of Newaygo, just below the Thornapple boat launch. Nestled within the Manistee National Forest our small neighborhood shares the Manistee with turkey, deer and black bear. Considered a fly fishing haven for brown trout, rainbow trout, steelhead and salmon, the river is suited to wading, drift fishing, kayaking and canoeing.

Enjoy an outstanding view down to the river while maintaining the feeling of total seclusion as your nestled within 100' tall hardwood trees. We are set up with 5 beds in 3 rooms (1 queen bed, 2 fulls and 2 twins), a fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels. Why stay at a hotel/motel when you can comfortly stay at our home. We cater to those who want to spend a few relaxing days fishing, canoeing, kayaking and golfing. We have fishing guides if you are som inlclined, I would not recommend being able to fish on the river in front of our cabin because of the steep access.

About The Owner

We live in Texas but my wife is from Michigan and we travel up 4-5 times per year to fish and visit her family. I am a Landscape Architect and my wife is in the Insurance industry.

The Owner purchased this bungalow in 2010

Why The Owner chose Western Michigan

We fell in love with this place because of its feeling of seclusion yet a great view of the river. The fishing has no rivals. The locals have made us feel at home and many have already become great friends.

What makes this bungalow unique

One thing we didnt realize is how many top ranked golf courses and antique shops there are in the area.

Fishing weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Devils hole lodge. The highlight was grilling fresh salmon on the grill. We also enjoyed hiking on the nearby trails and exploring the surrounding towns. Highly recommend. Kyle made sure we were well taken care of.

Fabulous Experience from Memo Benavides

  • 5 of 5

Our host Kyle was most gracious and accommodating. He set us up with 2 excellent guides for king salmon fishing. The lodge was beautifully nestled in a forest along the Muskogee River. Our visit included fishing, several nearby dining spots and plenty of quietness. Wish we could have stayed another week to see the fall foliage. We'll just have to come back! Thank you Kyle

Very special unique place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just spent five days at this special cottage. I hated to leave! It was so cozy and quiet. I could just live in the master bedroom listening to the sounds of the river!! It was very well stocked and spotlessly clean! It was fun to sit around the fire pit at night and roast marshmallows looking at the stars. The Newaygo area is fun with lots of hiking trails and small lakes with swimming holes and beaches. We will certainly be back!

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated my bachelorette party at the Lodge and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Secluded enough to enjoy a quiet evening, but close enough to town to get amenities if needed. There was more than enough space for the seven of us and provided a great atmosphere for lounging around outside as well as playing board games together inside. Great stay overall and will stay again.

Great Stay in Newaygo!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The owners were very easy to communicate with in planning our trip. The cabin was very cute, clean, and had everything we needed! We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and looking over the Muskegon river. There is a grill and deck with picnic table on a nice sized deck to enjoy meals. We also enjoyed checking out the town of Newaygo. Which has an excellent brewery, 24 hour grocery store, parks, shops, and ice cream! We would recommend it for others for a quiet relaxing get away.

Pure Michigan Experience Great Newaygo Location

  • 5 of 5

I VRBO often and this was a great experience. Owner was very easy to communicate with and the cabin was super clean and well appointed for our stay for our guys fishing weekend. We had an easy time cooking breakfast in the kichen and dinner over the fire and on the outdoor grill. The Cabin is simple but has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. The location is beautifully perched on a bluff over looking the Muskeegon River. The cabin was a great example of early 20th century Michigan summer homes with lots of custom woodwork and is really well decorated for a home away from home feel. Very comfortable beds and bedding. The town of Newaygo is a short drive West and has a 24 hour well stocked grocery store and a great fly fishing shop that caters to spinning reel fisherman also, very friendly and helpful town.
