2 Br Condo - Half Block To Ocean & Concert Stage - Sleeps 6
About Jennings Family
This is the Jennings Family, descendants of Dr. W. Stanley Jennings, our patriarch, who owned this beach property since the 60s. He was well loved and highly regarded by his children and grandchildren who have banded together to restore this vacation rental property. He contributed greatly to the Hampton Roads area as a physician for over 50 years and is considered the founding father of Chesapeake General Hospital (now Chesapeake Regional Medical Center) in Chesapeake, VA.
Jennings Family purchased this Condo in 1960
Why Jennings Family chose Northeast Virginia Beach
This property has been in our family since the 60s. Too many memories and stories to tell. Recently, we decided to make it as nice as we could, so it fits well with all the nice restaurants and other surrounding activities.
What makes this Condo unique
You don't even have to leave the front yard to hear the live bands! Your own personal concert, beautiful beach, nice places to eat AND you're staying in a condo with all the comforts of home. When you're at the beach, you can walk back to your place to use the bathroom instead of using the public restrooms. Yes, it's that close.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great summer vacation.
Great place. Close to everything. Very nice owner. I'll definitely will be back.
House provided everything we needed for weekend stay at the beach. Very clean and convenient location.
The Sparrows Nest
Very well maintained and perfect size. Location on 24th street was just one short walk away from the beach. Excellent vacation rental. Will try to rent again based on availability!
Sweet little gem in prime VA beach location!
We took a very last-minute family vacation to Virginia Beach and were pleasantly surprised to find this adorable little cottage available to rent for our short stay. In addition to this being just the most fantastic location ( literally one block from the beach and just behind the main walking area of shops and stores and entertainment), The cottage itself was so super clean and well appointed for our stay. Our young kids appreciated all of the boogie boards and other beach items The owners provide. As a mom, I really appreciated the full-size washer and dryer to clean up all the sandy items before heading back home. The kitchen is big and beautiful full of everything that you need for your stay. If you forget anything there’s a Walgreens right next to you 10 feet away. The owners are incredibly responsive and kind, helping us with anything we needed along the way. They made some great suggestions for breakfast and dinner within walking distance of the cottage. We highly recommend Doc Taylor‘s for breakfast, as we went there each day of our stay. Best breakfast in the area, family owned, and so reasonably priced! Thank you for renting your adorable beach cottage to us- we will surely return if we come back to the area!
This spot was ideal for a party of 4-5. Comfortable more than anything. Felt like we had everything we needed with a full kitchen, spacious bathroom, comfy living room and 2 bedrooms good for two people. The residence feels private, being connected to no other buildings, and having its own drive way. It literally felt like the place is yours only. Even though there are two residences, first and second floor, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. Was nice seeing just one other family settle in.
Beth, was always a text away.
We’re definitely coming back! Thanks, Jennings Family!
Great value for the money!!!!
This was our second stay at this property and it was just as good as the first time. It's a great location. The property is very well maintained and the owners are great to deal with. We will most definitely be back again!!!!
The boardwalk at Virginia Beach's oceanfront is a wide, well-kept cement walk from 1st Street to 40th St. It is only a half block from this cottage. Have a bike? Bring it (and your bike lock) and enjoy the bike path beside the boardwalk. Nothing like a cool walk or ride in the early morning or evening to enjoy the sights and sounds of Virginia Beach.
The 24th street Concert Stage has live music nightly during the summer and the cottage is so close you can enjoy the music from your private deck. There are a dozen different places to eat within a block of this location.
The Coast Guard Station Museum is another relic within short walking distance. Learn how this cottage was used by the Coast Guard in the early 1900s.
