About Gary Fritz

I am a building contractor from Tallahassee, Florida and have been in business for the past 32 years. I always loved the coast as a child and bought several homes there in the last few decades. I have lived in The Bay Dreams for ten years, but have had to move to town due to the economy.

Gary Fritz purchased this house in 1991

Why Gary Fritz chose Florida Panhandle

I bought this house ten years ago and remodeled it for my wife and I to live in and we did for ten years. We decided to move back to Tallahassee and so I furnished the house to become a rental.

What makes this house unique

I fell in love with this house because of its private setting and abundance of wildlife in the area. The deck on the bay side has beautiful sunsets, and is really good to relax and watch the world go by. I especially like the Goldfish ponds I built in the front yard, full of frogs and Goldfish.

Beautiful Sunsets!

  • 5 of 5

Hubby and I had another wonderful stay at Bay Dreams. We love the redfish and trout, the sunsets, and the peace and quiet! This time we especially enjoyed the plasma TV during March Madness-Go SEC! I enjoy cooking in this kitchen, too! Very nice!

Great place for morning coffee while watching the abundant wildlife

  • 4 of 5

My favorite part of our stay at Alligator Point: Morning coffee in the early light as a band of white squirrels frolic in the trees and pelicans swoop into the bay to catch a few fish. The place comes with binoculars to you can enjoy yourself for hours just watching the wildlife. We happened to spend Thanksgiving at this lovely location. Kitchen is well equipped; everything was is good working order. Did not want for pots/pans or utensils/plates. The kitchen/dining area is the largest part of the house. As this is where everyone gathers, it was perfect. With a "great room" feel, the kitchen, dining table and comfortable sofas are all in close proximity so everyone can be together. The stand-alone bedroom is very nice for the person who would prefer a bit of solitude, as it is a completely separate structure. One tip for your arrival: Alligator Point is dark at night. No streetlights, very few businesses along the road. Try to arrive before nightfall. This will make it easier to read the numbers on the mailbox. We would stay here again. Not fancy, but very comfortable with everything you need. Public beach access is a 10 minute ride and the beach is beautiful with lots of seashells. We saw lots of Monarch butterflies at Bald Point State Park, an access point is less than 5 minutes away by car.
