We had a wonderful 'girlie' catchup weekend travelling in from San Fransisco & London. The charming house & location are simply stunning. The views are beautiful from every picture window. It was cozy sitting out on the deck huddled in blankets. We have never seen sunsets so captivating. Sue was extremely helpful with communication & information regarding the area. We will definately be returning.
My college friends and I spent another wonderful annual reunion at this beautiful place. We celebrated our friend's retirement and laughed about old times. This property is situated perfectly on the lake. We paddled around the lake and decided that Sue's place has the most spectacular setting. We love the deck, the outdoor shower, the kayaks, the neighbors, the surrounding rolling fields and farmland, the convenient location, the sounds of the loons and the sunlight that pours into the house. I love to cook and everything type of kitchen utensil is there. Thank you so much for another memorable visit, Sue.

Stayed at Sue's property with my wife and little one for the first week of September - what a fantastic spot! The house is in a private cove, so away from the "noise", and facing the perfect direction so you get nice, cool mornings without the sun blinding you, but then get to enjoy the sun setting in the west. Spent several evenings out on the deck enjoying a drink - our little one (18 months) enjoyed playing in the yard, on the little beach, and watching the ducks swim past. Location is absolutely perfect - five minutes from Meredith's great restaurants and the grocery store, and 5 minutes in the other direction is one of our favourite spots, Moulton Farm (try the corn, it's life-changing!) Also a short drive from Funspot, Weirs Beach, the Tilton Outlets, etc. My family has been coming up to NH and the lakes area for years, and it's places like this that make us keep coming back! Can't thank Sue enough for her hospitality, and similarly can't recommend this place enough! The pictures really don't do it justice! Oh, I almost forgot the best parts - the outdoor shower and floating picnic table! What a treat! We will absolutely be back!
My college friends (We are now 62 year old retired teachers) and I stayed at this beautiful little cottage for our annual getaway. We have finally found a place where we are all happy and we will return every year from now on. The cottage was immaculate and comfortably furnished. The pictures do not capture the charm and all the special little touches that make it very special. We loved the outdoor shower and claw foot tub. Awesome!!! There were gorgeous views out of every window. We enjoyed kayaking and looking at all of the other homes along the lake. We truly loved Sue's location and this cottage the best!!! Many thanks to Sue for being so hospitable and friendly.
3 friends and I rented this charming little house for 5 days this past Oct. We came to see the fall color change and were not disappointed. Great location. Very private feel but not too far from the town of Meredith with shops and restaurants and grocery. House is very accommodating. Took a little while to get used to using bottled water for cooking/washing food, but all in all it was very relaxing and charming. We really enjoyed our wine and cheese afternoons on the patio overlooking the lake with gorgeous sunsets. We even got out on the kayaks one day. Great 'home base" for our trips apple picking, wine tasting, touring Castle in the Clouds, cruising the lake on the Mt. Washington. We cooked a lot in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed feeling "at home" over our dinners, winding down from our days adventures. Great local produce from various farm stands. Owner, Sue, was a joy to work with - very prompt responses to any inquiries and helpful with tips on local info. Also provided linens for us "out of towners" for a nominal charge. Had a WONDERFUL time.
My wife and I highly recommend renting this lake house. Here are the reasons we find this rental so attractive. The location is ideal because it is located in a cove which means you do not get pounded by the waves created from both high boat traffic and winds blowing across the large open areas of the lake. The lake house is also located on the sunny side of the lake. You do not get direct morning sunlight but you do get to enjoy the warm summer sun all day to include some amazing sunsets! If you have a boat the location is to your advantage as well. You are located minutes away from Weirs Beach, Naswa Resort and the Meredith town docks. This is great for short boat rides with family or friends to do shopping, choose from a large selection of restaurants or just taking the kids out for ice cream. If boating is not for you then driving is also minutes away to these locations. No need to bring a weeks worth of food, there is a supermarket just a few miles away for keeping dinner menu options open. The beach front is perfect for families with small children. It has a nice swimming area right next to the deck so you can keep an eye on the kids while you relax with friends. It is not the typical mansion that sleeps twenty but we are a family of five and the kids typically bring a friend and there is plenty of room for sleeping. Our days are spent outside, not inside. If it rains there are fun options to keep the kids busy just a minutes from this location. Places like Funspot, Weirs Beach, Monkey Trunks, go-karts, candy store, movie theatre and plenty of shopping in Meredith for the grown-ups. Parking is a little limited and there are neighbors that you will need to be respectful of but they are all friendly. The main road is a dead end which is great for low traffic and walks with loved ones. The cove is very accommodating to kayaking on those quiet mornings or a late afternoon paddle. You will have to share the water with the loons that live there. Lastly the owners, they are wonderful people that are easy to work with. I hope this review helps with your decision on renting a lake house.
