A True Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

The Pondhouse was everything it was described to be, but much more than I imagined. My daughter and I moved in for a week and lived as comfortably as we do at home. The property is very private; yet if I had any questions, Ellen was available immediately. The "home" as well as the outside surroundings with the gardens and the mountains in the background are spectacular, peaceful and pristine. We grilled and dined on the patio overlooking the pond at night and enjoyed morning tea lounging by the pond. We could also dip in the pond after a day of biking on the Rail Trail or hiking around the mountain trails. With the full working kitchen including a large refrigerator with available condiments, I was able to pack lunches everyday and prepare quality meals at night. Ellen even had herbs in pots on the front steps available for our use! The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. I would highly recommend The Pondhouse to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty that Vermont has to offer!

Quiet Escape

  • 5 of 5

Perfect weekend getaway to escape the city and find true peace and quiet. The house was tucked away and all you could hear were birds and frogs. The house was homey and Ellen was very kind and resourceful. Definitely would book again!

Ellen's pond house

  • 5 of 5

Ellen's pond house was the perfect place to stay for our baby moon. First of all the house is open and inviting complete with kitchen. Ellen adds personal touches in the house to make you feel right at home. The property that the house is on is just breath taking. The pond has frogs and tadpoles. The surrounding area is green with lots of colorful flowers. Ellen is also very friendly and kind. We will be back the next time we come to Vermont. Thank you Ellen!

Idyllic and serene. Vast open space and windows everywhere

  • 5 of 5

What a delightful vacation destination. The space was perfect, weather was perfect and Ellen was a perfect host. If you are looking for a convenient, well- appointed, lovely spot to get away from it all, this is your place. The photos can't possibly do it justice. The windows are breathtaking. I have already booked a return visit, something I have never done with a vacation rental.

Look no Further !!

  • 5 of 5

You will love the huge windows that let in tons of natural light; the calm and quiet, yet close to ski slopes or quaint restaurants; a very large, perfectly- appointed kitchen. Lovely natural steps that lead to a patio outdoors, to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Away from yet close to at all... We will be back !
