Super romantic setting! This luxury condo is on the second floor (Best for security) Unlike some condos in this complex, our unit has an elevator and PRIVATE OUTDOOR KITCHEN WITH GAS GRILL.. We hand-picked this unit to give us the best view and privacy. It is at the end of the complex closest to the beach. The view from the deck is of the lake of the golf course to one side and the fairways to the other. (ocean is in the distance past the lake). We are several hundred feet from the golf course, so you do not get the noise. We also have Boogie Boards, snorkels, beach towels, beach chairs and other beach items for your enjoyment. (Loungers on the beach)

The condo is nicely appointed with granite counter tops, 2 full tile bathrooms, master bedroom with walk-in closet, new appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer, air conditioning (a must), Lanai with a view and outside stainless gas grill kitchen (private, not shared, on deck), 2 swimming pools,2 hot tubs, workout center and it’s own garage (that’s a premium for Big Island condo’s), free high speed cable internet unlimited, 2 cable TV’s, living room 47' 1080dpi HDTV (one in the master), DVD players, king master bed, silverware, pot, pans, coffee maker, spices, etc. all you need to live comfortably.

Master bedroom has a mission style king bed. The second bedroom has two twins that can be made into one king sized bed. There is also a queen sized hide a bed. We also have a Pack & Play for the little ones.

THE AREA: this unit is located right next to the King’s and Queen Shops and just before the entrance to the Marriott. The A-bay (Anaeho’omalu bay) is just on the other side of the Marriott (great for happy hour food and drinks, hula show). It is a short walk or you can drive 2 minutes and park at the beach access parking lot next door. This is a great bay for the family with low surf, sandy beach, rentals of kayaks, boards, snorkel, glass bottom boat, touch-lit beach etc. turtles lay up on the beach in the evening. You could really never drive and experience most of what the Big Island has to offer.

The Kings and queen shops are modern outside walking malls with restaurants (like Romano's Macaroni Grill and local venues), bars, grocery stores, clothes shops and my wife’s favorite, STARBUCKS.

Golf: there are 2 golf courses right next to the condo and many others within a few minutes drive. The Kings’ Course 18 holes was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, par 72 and the Beach Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, par 70. We have discounts at the Kings Course.

Why Roger Wilson chose Kohala Coast

best place in the world. Well; we think it is the best area on the island. In the Resort area north of the airport, but close enough to the older Kona area to visit. We like both areas, but want to stay and sleep in at the newer, higherend area.

My stay here in Waikola Beach Villas was great; the area is perfect for relaxing on the beach or just reading a good book out on the deck, which over looked a golf course and a lake. Then at night grill up a steak on the deck BBQ, nothing better. It simply worked great for me, shopping next door at the king and queen shops, with a Starbucks, and the beach just about a block away where I went paddle board surfing and snorkeling. I will be staying here again. Thanks Roger

Wonderful Location

This was our 25th consecutive trip to the Islands - 4th to the Big Island. On 80% of those trips we rented condominiums, and this location was by far the nicest location of all. Our unit was exceptionally large and very well equipped. Having our own BBQ grill on our lanai was a wonderfully convenient touch. The entire complex is very well maintained and the evenings were pleasantly quiet. The complex is across the street from one mall and next door to another. Both provided free live entertainment virtually every night. Shopping is available every day, and the beach is a short drive (or walk) away. Although we don't golf, there are two courses within the Waikoloa complex.

For us, the only negative is the remoteness of the location, and in many respects that's it's biggest attraction.. Kona is the major shopping location and that's a 25 mile drive. Hawaii (The Big Island) is very large and requires lots of driving for sight seeing. We have stayed in many condos, on every island, and have frequently experienced nightly street racing and noisy parties in local night clubs. We choose and prefer the quiet, peaceful area of Waikoloa. That's what draws us back to the islands.

Great condo, well equipped!

Our family of 4 stayed in this condo in August 2016. It is very spacious, and very well appointed!! There is a wide variety of beach gear. We used the boogie boards extensively, and also the beach umbrella, but I think I also remember there being chairs, beach blankets, and maybe even snorkel gear. There was also 2 bikes there, a cooler, and assorted other items. Wi-fi worked well. The location is awesome, convenient to the close grocery store (walkable), the lava lava club for happy hour, A-Bay for sunsets, and a short drive from the wonderful northside beaches like Hapuna, Mauna Kea, and Beach 69. Kona is maybe 20 minutes away. The grill right on the Lanai was very convenient. Washer and dryer also very convenient (though the washer is really loud when it runs). Would definitely stay here again when we return.

Excellent choice for a stay on the Big Island

We had a wonderful stay in this property. The unit is spacious, well appointed, and very clean. The lanai is also spacious, with a built-in gas grill and a nice view of a lake. The pool and jacuzzi are conveniently located near the unit. We found Queens Marketplace and Kings Shops to both be easily walkable from the unit. These two outdoor shopping centers have numerous restaurants, retail shops, and a small grocery. There's a decent beach (A-Bay) within walking distance, and one of the very best beaches in Hawaii (Hapuna Beach) is only about a 10 to 15 minute drive. The owner of the property, Roger, was very easy to work with, and always communicated promptly. In summary, this is an excellent property with an excellent location! When back on the Big Island, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

For us, a highlight of the trip was viewing the Kilauea lava flow. Our timing was fortunate, as this is not always possible. As it wasn't easy for us to learn about viewing options, I thought I'd share that at the time of our visit, the County Government had infrastructure in place to facilitate the lava viewing. Details were available on the County of Hawaii lava viewing website. There was also access through Volcano National Park, but at the time of our visit, the logistics for the County Government route were better given the specific location of the lava flow at that time. Both Volcano National Park and the County Government provide logistics and safety information that you should be aware of if you opt to do this.

Convenient location

This property is in a great location, close to beach, shopping, and restaurants. The unit is large, quiet, well-equipped, and well-maintained. Our family of four had plenty of room to spread out and relax. We appreciated that the entire complex is no smoking.
