About Andi Brownell, Owner

My husband, Scott and I live in Greensboro, NC with our three children (8, 6 and 4). Scott is originally from Michigan and I am originally from Georgia. We met in graduate school in Atlanta and the rest is history!

Andi Brownell, Owner purchased this house in 2010

Why Andi Brownell, Owner chose Northern Michigan

After vacationing in Leelanau County for a couple summers we were in love with northern Michigan and decided to purchase a cottage to call our own. We cherish the time we get to spend at the cottage and truly feel it is a small piece of paradise! Every trip results in wonderful family memories wether we spend the majority of our time playing on our beach and floating in the bay or venturing around Leelanau County.

What makes this house unique

It is hard to beat the panaramic views of the bay from our property and walking steps from your back door to our thick sugar sand private beach!

Sutton Bay Gem!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Suttons Bay! The cottage has all of the necessities to make your vacation enjoyable...pots and pans, air conditioning, plenty of towels, and most importantly it is very clean...cleaner than some high-end hotels that we've stayed at. It is located right on the bay with a large sandy beach and the swimming area in front of the beach has a nice sandy water shoes needed! An added bonus is that it is extremely private...there is a neighbor on one side of the property and a park on the other which made it very peaceful. Andi is extremely easy to work with and will return your phone call or text within the hour should you have any questions/concerns! We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back!

Lovely family escape

  • 5 of 5

Our family (2 adults, 2 children under the age of 8) stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. It was just the right size, offered all the amenities we were looking for (beautiful private beach, kayaks, shallow water, stocked house and kitchen), offered a great landing spot to explore the area, and the owner could not have been more accommodating and responsive. The kids loved the calm bay water, bunk beds and toys, the adults enjoyed the room seemingly right on the beach and the fire pit and close to dining/wineries/distilleries. I've recommended this property to several friends and we hope to return again soon!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights, and we absolutely loved it. The cottage is roomy and peaceful, and we enjoyed spending time on the water and watching the stars at night. When we did want to go out, the location between Northport and Suttons Bay was great for easily getting around to see the sights. We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful and Serene

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here a week to explore and enjoy all the pleasures of the Leelanau. Our first impression was the glorious view of Grand Traverse Bay from the deck and the wrap around windows in the living room. It was very relaxing listening to the small waves breaking on the private sandy beach and lying in the hammock watching the cedar waxwings cavorting in the trees. Everything was as described and the owner was very helpful. If you love great food, you must eat at 9 Bean Rows in Sutton's Bay (we ate there three times and each was a unique experience). Boone's Prime Time Pub is always good as well. We also loved Pearl's (authentic Cajun food) and Short's Brewery in Bellaire (too bad you can't sample all of their great beers). We would recommend this cottage to anyone and hope to visit again next year. Although we do not have small children, the sandy beach and shallow water make ideal for them as well.

Fantastic Place for Peaceful & Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit and we couldn't have stayed at a better place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Besides being able to spend a lot of time on the private beach and on the deck, there is plenty to do in nearby Suttons Bay and Traverse City. The house is clean and well-suited for an enjoyable vacation. We definitely hope to return here again for future vacations.
