This cottage was perfect for our family of 3. Stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals with area's to eat inside or outside on the front porch. It was steps from the small private beach and a short walk to the large (crowded) public beach. Also about a 2 minute walk to the main strip. It is in the back yard of the owner who happened to be there the same time as us and made sure we had everything needed to enjoy our stay. The Weirs Beach area is also within driving distance to take advantage of the many other attractions that NH has to offer.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. The cottage has two small bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and a main room with a kitchen including a microwave, fridge, freezer, oven, and stove top. The front patio is where we spent most of our time. Our three year old daughter enjoyed having her own twin bed with a pull-out bed underneath. The cottage also contains a small yard with grass, table and four chairs, and a barbecue grill. A short walk down to the right is the beach. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and the owners were very friendly.
The cottage is probably in the best location of all of Weirs Beach. It is set back on a side street but very easy walking distance to the scenic railroad, the Mount Washington boat, the boardwalk, public beach, drive-in movie theater, and some nice restaurants. The Lobster in the Rough had amazing lobster bisque and fish tacos. We also liked Kellerhaus for ice cream (over 110 years old) and they have a sundae buffet and amazing gift shop. The Fun Spot was right down the road, too (world's largest arcade) and we had a very fun and memorable breakfast at Griddle in the Middle in Meredith, for table side pancakes. Town Docks was the best restaurant and view, again a short drive away. Everything was close!
Great little cottage, great location, and great price! Thank you for a great vacation! :)
My stay at the Weirs Beach Cottage was a grand experience! I found the proprietors, Suzette and Blair, to be amazing hosts. They welcomed me as if I were a long lost friend and we had never met until my stay at their cottage. They both went out of their way to ensure my stay had all the comforts of home. The cottage was just perfect! It was small, but quaint. The property was well maintained and amenities were plentiful. I would recommend this cottage to a couple who are looking for a place to just kick back and relax. A perfect little "honeymoon cottage!" The attractions of Weirs Beach are right up the road and to the left. Lake Winnipesaukee is outside your door and a short walk to the water. Sitting on the porch you can view the lake view and wish your rtroubles away. I loved my stay! It was a perfect way to spend my "blast from the past" experience 30 years later. Thank you Suzette and Blair for welcoming me into your home.
The location of the cottage is great. Very close to the boardwalk and local shops. We swam multiple times per day in the private beach at the end of the street and went to the public beach 3-4 times that week. The cottage is very cute an well equipped. We are hoping to stay here again next year.
This cottage was perfect for us and the two teen boys! As a woman, I was thrilled with the kitchen-I cooked 3x a day and had everything I needed! The boys had the bunk room and hooked up a game system to use at night after returning from day tripping on the water, the train or just 'out and about'. We were more than comfortable on the beds. The bathroom, with a shower, was perfect. Suzette and Blair were gracious and quickly answered texts I sent with a couple of minor questions (eg where to put the recycling). The beach is sandy and the views are breathtaking and peaceful. The neighborhood is quiet, yet just a quick couple minute walk to the Boardwalk and all it has to offer! We took the mail boat excursion, the train ride, played the arcades, mini golf and the boys enjoyed the go-carts. (They actually liked the track about a mile up the road better than the one at the Boardwalk). We also loved going to the double feature Drive-In movie theater! We loved the cottage and hope to be able to come back. Note: Suzette and Blair accurately speak when they are upfront about the cottage not intended to be for electronics or having a place to 'hang out' inside. That was fine for us, because we didn't drive to Winnipesuake to sit inside! We did love hanging out on the porch in the Adirondack chairs, sipping coffee in the early morning.
The cabin is clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed and then some. It's just steps from the lake and from town. We watched fireworks from the beach, kayaked, fished, took a short drive to some great hikes and explored Weirs Blvd.
The owners are really lovely people and we would certainly stay here again.
