3 Bedroom, 1 Bath With 1 Bedroom/1 Bath, Sleeps 6
Our Steinhatchee GetAway home has 2 Bedrooms with 1 Bath and a 1 Bedroom /1 Bath Guest house. Both will sleep 6. The house has a large screened porch and another porch that is not screened. A fish/scallop cleaning area is in a screened building with picnic table and grill. The home and guest house sit on a large lot with grape arbors, fruit trees, large oak trees and many large palm trees. We are only about 2.5 blocks from Roys Restaurant, Public boat ramp, Crabby Dads and Ideal Marine Supply.
The Steinhatchee River is a short boat ride to the Gulf of Mexico where the coastline is virtually untouched and protected with saw grass. Excellent fishing on the flats for Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and Red Fish. Offshore Grouper, Snapper and Amber Jack.
Scallop season (July 1st-September 25th) marks Steinhatchee's busiest season. It's great fun for the whole family. Just bring your mask and snorkel.

Very Nice Property
Clean & comfortable vacation property. House has everything you need for a relaxing week or weekend in the Steinhatchie area. Near to the public boat ramp, bait shops, marinas, & restaurants. Will definitely go back again as soon as we can . Owner was very helpful & easy to work with. Thanks
The house was very clean and so quiet. It was nice to be in the woods and have peace and quiet. I like hearing the birds and the weather was warm. We really like the restaurant Roy's Restaurant very nearby. It is a quiet hidden part of Florida. We also liked the Steinhatchee Falls Park. This house has what you need to relax and lots of space and 2 porches with one being screened. I like reading a book on the screened porch. I would definitely return here in the future.
Very nice house. We loved our stay and will be back.
Cozy little getaway
Cute, cottage feel to the property. Nice layout and functional. WiFi strength needs addressing. Owners were very apologetic and attentive when the hot water heater didn't work, and had it fixed within a day. Great location to everything in the area, a block from the river. A little to difficult to find in the dark as GPS didn't have exact location. Very nice to have the additional apartment for my teenage son :) Looking forward to returning for scallop season!
House was old-Florida adorable , LOVED the screened porch and natural buffer from other houses.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sieinhatchee partly thanks to the cute house itself and comfortable sleeping quarters. We LOVED the adjacent wild woods and old rural character, and even walked some in the neighborhood at twilight. The native Florida trees and plants and large surrounding 'insulating' green space gave such privacy and quiet and even morning birdsong. My only tiny grievance was the extremely late check in and early check out times, which I feel strongly should be modified by an hour on both ends to allow for full enjoyment of the property. Amazing how much difference a single hour would make...
Nice clean home with everything that we needed for a fantastic stay at Steinhatchee
This home had everything we needed and more. There are two porches on the home, a guest house that is a nice getaway from the house. There is a large fire pit with two large swings by the fire pit that we enjoyed after scalloping and fishing. The screened in fish cleaning room has everything we needed to clean our scallops and fish, including chairs and a picnic table. We really enjoyed scalloping.
The kitchen is well equipped. the beds are comfortable, internet and dish TV are provided.
The home is a short walk to Roys Restaurant and Crabby Dads. The public boat ramp is a couple of blocks from the home We had plenty of room to park our cars and boat trailers at the house.
We will recommend this nice clean home to our friends and will be coming back soon.
Steinhatchee is a beautiful, quiet and relaxing fishing and scalloping village. Steinhatchee has 2 public boat ramps and several marinas to launch your boat. The marinas have rental boats if you need one. Located north of Cedar Key and south of Apalachicola, it offers some of the best fishing and scalloping in Florida
