A1 Vacation Rentals

We've been coming to Summit County every year since 2010 and this is the first time we used A1 but it won't be the last. From the booking process five months ago up through our entire stay, James Adams has been very accessible and has always promptly returned any emails or phone calls to answer any questions. During our stay, the garbage was picked up and routine maintenance of the hot tub was taken care of. Other than that, we really didn't need anything as the property was adequately stocked with tissue and paper towels, etc. The cleanliness of the unit was above satisfactory upon checking in.

We really like A1's damage policy where we pay a small premium to be be covered for up to $3000 in the event of a mishap. We wish more property managers handled damage deposit this way.We also loved the mobile app that A1 uses giving up to the minute directions and access codes prior to our stay and allowing us to remotely lock doors, adjust thermostats and make any requests (if needed) during our stay.

Wonderful stay in a perfectly equipped cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific time in the log cabin! It is well laid out and feels much more spacious than advertised! My family of 4 stayed there plus my parents and there was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin was clean and had everything we could possibly need for our stay with one exception--a hair dryer--so bring your own. The check-in / check-out process was a piece of cake. We made full use of the kitchen each night and we had no complaints. The hot tub was relaxing (and fun for the kids).

The only minor complaint anyone had was that the heater was very loud when it turned on downstairs. My husband and I were upstairs so we didn't notice, but my parents mentioned it. My kids were downstairs and they slept right through it. If you're a light sleeper and if that would bother you, you may want the upstairs room.

We were initially worried about the drive down to the cabin since the driveway was a bit steep and covered in snow, but it was no problem for our two AWD cars. It snowed when we were there and the driveway/road was plowed first thing in the morning so there were no issues.

We didn't go to any restaurants--only to the slopes at Keystone and it was an easy 10 minute (if that) drive up the road.

I highly recommend this cabin. Initially, we were bummed we weren't going to have a ski-in, ski-out rental, but with pets, that's impossible at Keystone. I would go back to this place in a second, even without our pet! It was wonderful!

Loved the uniqueness of the house.

  • 4 of 5

Everything about this house was enjoyable. We loved the unique 3 level floor plan and the wonderful sleeping and resting area downstairs. The kitchen was nicely equipped. The furnishings were great. Our only problem was getting out of the driveway rising from the house below while snow-packed. Next time a 4 wheel drive vehicle will manage this better. We would surely return to this great place that is both private and convenient to the town amenities. The private hot tub on the back deck soothed our muscles after days of hard skiing on great snow this season.

Great space, great views, real log-cabin feel!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly as advertised. It was very well-kept and had great architecture and decor. All three beds were comfortable (may need mattress replacements in the near future though) and the sleeper sofa was as comfortable as any sleeper sofa can be. Kitchen was a great space to prepare meals for a large group. This cabin stays very warm considering how many large windows it has. As any hot tub would be, the one at this unit was a fantastic amenity and much needed after 8 hours on the slopes - not to mention great privacy. The views from the deck and floor to roof-pitch windows is breath-taking and the sunset through the windows as the evening begins is perfect. The Bose sound system was very pleasant. This unit does have a open garage port, although it is difficult to fit a large pick-up or SUV in it. Do not drive to this unit, in the winter, without 4WD or AWD. If it snows enough, chances are, you will not get back up the driveway or the joining steep roads. The unit has ample room for up to 5 vehicles (including the garage).

Great way to end 2013!

  • 5 of 5

What a great surprise! This house was exactly what we were looking for - very clean, cozy, and located close to everything. We went with another family with a total of 4 adults and 3 kids. There was enough space for everyone. And the fact that we could include our family dog was priceless. Loved the layout; hot tub; privacy; and décor. We will definitely rent this home again. Did I mention how clean it was? Simply perfect.
