not as nice as I expected for the price

  • 3 of 5

There were some things I really liked about this condo: ground floor, hiking trails outside the back door, a 5 minute drive to food or shopping, and a king size bed. The hall bathroom shower was also very nice.

However, I don't feel like the condo compares well to other places I have stayed. We rent condos and houses regularly for our vacations. When the temperature is in the teens over night, a light bedspread and blanket does not cut it for the master bedroom. The queen bed did have a warm comforter. There were no throw blankets in the living room either. The kitchen had the basics but certainly not much beyond that. I'm thankful I did not intend to do much cooking. While some updates have been made, such as granite counter tops and new sinks, the cabinets are old. The ones in the bathroom have no finish left on them from the early 80's. A coat of paint would do wonders. The furniture in general was adequate. I doubt I would rent this particular unit again.

Owner's Response: There are extra blankets in the closets, we have done more updating in the unit too.

Great condo for two couples

  • 5 of 5

This condo is on the ground floor and all one level - a nice change from most ski condos which seem to be multi-level. It's just like the pictures - beautiful fireplace, roomy comfy sofa & chair in the family room, large kitchen and eating area, nice decorations on the walls. The steam shower in the guest bathroom was a real treat. There are a couple of humidifiers you can set up to combat the dry winter air. The hot tub is just a few steps away. It's not outside but it's in a gazebo type building with windows all around so it does have an outdoor "feel". The location in the Wildernest area of Silverthorne is one that we have returned to time and time again for it's affordability and convenience. It's very close to a grocery store, restaurants, and other amenities. The Wild Ernest ski shop on the road up to the condo is a great place for those who need to rent equipment. And you can drive to Keystone, Breckenridge, and Vail in a half hour or less. We had a couple of questions/issues during our stay which were all handled promptly by James, the A1 Vacation Rentals property manager, even non-emergency things that were submitted after hours. He definitely exceeds requirements!

Wonderful condo in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, adult kids, and I rented this condo for 5 nights and can't say enough good things about it! The keyless entry pad made checking in easy. It was very clean with gorgeous updates including the kitchen and both bathrooms. The gas fireplace was enjoyable after a long day of skiing and a soak in the hot tub which is in a separate gazebo next door. We loved the location- Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe, Copper Mtn, are all within 30 mins, and Vail within 45 mins. Also, many nice eating areas and a City Market grocery store are nearby. Just 10 mins off of I-70. We have always stayed at the resorts before, but never again-we will return!

colorado skiing

  • 4 of 5

Overall great place to stay- we would stay there again! We left a rolling pin for other skiers to use on your legs. Best way to preserve the legs to enjoy more skiing! Pros: great location near multiple ski areas, nice layout, plenty of room to sleep 4, good bathroom hot tub, nice mountain view, kitchen set up to cook meals, clean place, nice fire place. Cons: thin walls- could hear upstairs people walking around, no hair dryer, poor lighting in spare bedroom.

Great condo!

  • 5 of 5

The condo is clean, spacious, nicely decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. There was everyting we needed and more. The check in and out was as simple as can be. We enjoy staying at Silverthorne because we can ski Keystone, Breck, Vail. . and it gives us the extra of the outlets after skiing.

Thank you so much for sharing your home! We hope to be back soon!
