This 1960's duplex is one of our budget rentals but recently remodeled, and is a great value for the money! The photos are of both units within the duplex - they are near mirrors of each other with minor differences.
The home is a 13 minute drive to downtown and the Convention Center! Each unit is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom in North Central Austin with 3 beds total. The kitchen has been remodeled with new (2013) modern kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and glass tile backsplash. The bathroom has a new vanity, faucets, fixtures, and glass tile tub surround. There are stained concrete floors throughout.
The home has 1 king bed and 1 queen bed, as well as a queen size pull out sofa in the living room. There is a large flat screen tv in the living room, UVerse, and wifi. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, bake ware, dishes, utensils, and more. And of course, there are linens, towels, toiletries, and more.
The duplex has two sides that can be rented separately or together. Both sides are the same with minor differences in furnishings and layout. Please note that both sides share a common laundry room accessible from the carport.
Maximum occupancy is 4 adults and 6 people total. The City of Austin has an occupancy limit of 6 unrelated adults combined between both units.

We've lived in Austin since 1996 and love the city! Amanda has been a licensed Realtor in Austin for 12 years, and we have personally managed all of our rental properties for 10 years - both furnished and unfurnished. We love meeting our guests from all over the world and creating a wonderful and memorable visit for them in Austin. And when we're vacationing, we always enjoy staying in vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts as well!
This duplex is one of our budgets rentals but nicely remodeled, and a great value for the money! It's a quiet neighborhood but still has lots to do nearby. As an added bonus, it's nestled between 3 major highways that will take you most anywhere you need to go in Austin, including downtown in about 13 minutes.
We have personally managed all of our rental properties for 10 years and take pride in each home we own. Our goal is to make sure every guest has a wonderful experience staying with us!
The City of Austin requires that Vacation rentals obtain a license for legal operation. Legal operations will have their license number in their listing.
Our stay was very comfortable. We live in Austin and needed a place for ourselves and our pet children to stay while we were having some renovations done on the house. We were pleased to stay in the hot neighborhood of Allandale, as we have heard a lot of good things about this area of town. We are food and wine people and there were more restaurants we wanted to try than we could even squeeze into our 4 night stay! Right on Burnet Road you have more restaurants, the best furniture and thrift shopping, and plenty of yoga studios to keep you occupied. The commute downtown was super quick and easy. The house was very cute and comfy and our dogs enjoyed having the little fenced yard to run around and play in.
We were very pleased with the 2 Bedroom Modern duplex during our recent visit to Austin. Our contact with Gregg, one of the managers, was very pleasant and he responded immediately to any questions we had. The duplex is very clean and the decor is modern and attractive, making for a very comfortable place to stay. The property is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and was easy to navigate to and from as we shopped and visited family in Austin. We will most certainly make this our first choice for future visits to Austin.
This is a recently redecorated duplex with new appliances. The location in north-central Austin is convenient to restaurants, shopping, events, etc. The owner was extremely attentive to our needs....very hands-on ! The rental rate was reasonable...we stayed six weeks to escape the winter up north! I would definitely recommend this property to others wishing these features in a short-term rental.
This was actually my first VRBO stay. The location is in a quiet neighborhood in Allandale. It was really close to places I wanted to be near, so I loved that.
The whole unit has been redone in a very sleek/IKEA way (it was probably mostly Ikea). They have modern lighting and stained/sealed concrete floors. The furniture is all well decorated and I really enjoyed the comfort of the bed. There was no ceiling fan, so that might be an issue for some if they want the ambient noise. I really liked the accent light on the book stand next to the couch.
There were some very minor things that I needed to be taken care of and Greg did so IMMEDIATELY. It helps so much to stay somewhere and have people take care of even minor things, like a light being out. The TV and AT&T U-verse service are nice and there is plenty to watch/record. There is a full kitchen for those that want to cook, but you will have to get some minor stuff (like oils/salts I think...).
By the way, I did see a bus stop on Burnet not far from the location.
I would definitely recommend staying here versus a hotel.
I stayed here for a couple of weeks while my house was being remodeled. Perfect for me and my dog. This is convenient, quiet and had all the amenities i needed. The owner was extremely quick to respond to any questions.
We came from California to watch our son play football against university of Texas and enjoyed our stay very much at this very clean, very jazzy duplex. All the rooms were decorated tastefully and the place was clean. It felt like our home for the weekend.
