Great Interior, Private Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a mid-week getaway in October with our two dogs. The cabin was very nicely finished, with complimentary toiletries, beautiful details and wood work, and a very well-equipped kitchen (more cooking supplies than we have in our own home!). The view was just as it looked in the pictures, gorgeous. It also felt very secluded and we never saw or heard another person while we were there.

The most impressive part about the cabin was the customer service that came with it. When we got in late at night (around 10pm), the key pad to the front door wasn't working. We called and someone immediately got us a new code and got us in the door. The next day, we texted the help number asking about nearby trails and we got a great list of dog-friendly trails to try out right away.

The only thing we didn't love about staying here was the driving distance to everything. It took about 25 minutes to get to the nearest fast food and grocery, and 45 minutes to get to nice restaurants. I know that's the price you pay for the views and privacy, but we city people weren't quite prepared for it. I also wouldn't recommend staying with more than one family- it's very easy to hear between the walls, and you can hear every footstep of the people above you.

Overall, we loved the cabin, its amenities, the view, and the customer service!

Stunning views

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I drove here from CT to visit our son who is stationed in GA. Our niece from TN also joined us. The house was perfect. The views were breathtaking. We hiked at Chimney Rock, went tubing down the Green River, golfed, and ate out one night in Black Mountain at The Palate Restaurant. Spent the evenings around the fire pit making s'mores and listening to guitar. We also brought our dog, she was so happy to see our son. Everyone had a great time.

Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

Our four-day, three-night stay at "Mountain Moments" truly was "heaven." The view from the deck was amazing! The kitchen was well-stocked. We were able to cook all of our meals. The decor was lovely. Kudos to the cleaning staff--the cabin was spotless! We had more than enough room for three couples and two children. This house is GREAT for children. Our grandchildren LOVED the big closet in the master bedroom suite upstairs. They called it their "playhouse." It was filled with stuffed animals, little wooden table and chairs, a tea set, Winnie-the-Pooh high chair, stroller, and carrier for all the babies, a castle, and all sorts of little toys. . .just a perfect little spot! Our daughters and their husbands were able to enjoy some sightseeing/hiking in the area. They loved Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and also found some beautiful waterfalls. The patio is awesome. . .we would like to come back when it is cooler so we can use the firepit. The gas grill was great for cooking evening meals. Thanks for a great trip. We definitely hope to return!

Beautiful views! Wonderful, pet-friendly home!

  • 5 of 5

This space was a savior as we had planned to visit a family property and our visit was cancelled suddenly. We were so lucky to have found this gem of a cabin! We were very impressed with the updates the current photos do not show (new appliances and super comfy living room furniture). The outdoor patio with fire pit was a great addition to our stay as we really enjoyed making s'mores on our last night. The house is stocked with anything you could've possibly forgotten to bring with you (medicine, shampoo, paper towels, etc.) The cabin is in a good location as listed. It is a scenic drive to Lake Lure and about 40 minutes to The Biltmore. We recommend checking out Highland Brewery too! It was crucial that we bring our sweet Pomeranian! Pet-friendly renters are the best!! The only thing bad about this visit is that it had to end. We hope to visit Mountain Moments again!
